Great Park Slope apartment

  • 5 of 5

We had a terrific stay here. The exterior of the house is sleek and modern (easily the coolest facade in the area) and the interior is modern, clean and functional. The apartment was spotless and perfect for our weekend stay. The owner was very nice and even set up the sofa bed for our young daughter since we were arriving late and she'd be sleeping. It was a great base for visiting friends in Brooklyn and also museums in Manhattan.

Very small but nice. Clean and well appointed BUT a basement apartment.

  • 4 of 5

The apartment was small but well appointed. Could use a few things - like a good wine opener, some kitchen towels, and a better kitchen/dining table (very wobbly). Also a shelf in the bathroom would be nice. My only problem was that it is a basement apartment and it was not listed as such. Not a lot of light. Also, there are steep, fairly uneven concrete steps to go up and down. Ordinarily that wouldn't bother me, but I recently had a knee replacement and I would not have chosen this place if I had known that.

The location was nice - there were stores and restaurants to walk to. I was glad there were just two of us because although it says it sleeps 4, that would have been really tight. Photos always make places look bigger. Overall experience was fine but not great. If it had been on a main level it would have been much much better.

Also, the door key was very hard to use. Some instructions ahead of time would have helped. (If there were any, I didn't see them - there were details inside, but it took awhile to get in the first time.)

Clean and convenient location

  • 5 of 5

I was not aware it was a basement apartment, but the apartment was clean with a newer bathroom and kitchen. The location to the park, restaurants and subway was also a plus. I drove and it was very easy to find parking in front of the apartment. I would love to stay there again.
