Overview

Old Ballard Apartment Rental Photos and Description

1bedroom, 1 bathroom, comfortably sleeps 4

This delightful retreat is located on the main floor of a turn-of-the-century house in historic old Ballard. Ballard has everything you could want, and living in this home it's all at your doorstep. Within 1 block you can enjoy espresso and some of the best bread and French pastries in Seattle. Within a 6 block radius you can enjoy an upscale movie house, a diverse array of restaurants, shops and the fabulous year-round Sunday Farmer’s Market offering fresh locally grown produce and products. If your visit is job-related, you will also have access to a post office, FedEx, Kinko’s and newly built-green public library. A personal fax machine is available upon request. Floor plans and more info at www.BallardVictorian.com.

A detailed renovation was just completed in 2008, in keeping with the home's original character. Wide plank oak floors extend throughout, including the new kitchen. The kitchen is cook-friendly and there is an herb garden for your enjoyment. Guests can chat with the chef while sitting at the breakfast table. The main dining room can seat six and there is still room for a sofa and TV. Barn doors separate the dining room from the very spacious living room. It can be closed off for privacy and has two queen sized high end, no-bar hide-a-beds and a 26 inch LCD TV. There is another queen sized sleigh bed in the private bedroom, with lots of drawer space and ample storage.

Perfect location, bright, spacious and clean home

  • 5 of 5

We had another wonderful stay at the Ballard Victorian! We love the big south facing windows in the living room and spacious layout for our small family of three. Everything in the home is clean, nicely updated and well maintained. The location can't be beat if you enjoy walking and bussing around town. We always stop at the library (only two blocks away) several times during our stays to borrow books for ourselves and our daughter, as they have a large section of books to borrow without a library card. In this location, you are close to everything in Ballard and an easy express bus ride to Seattle Center or downtown. We look forward to another visit soon!

Great find in Ballard

  • 5 of 5

This home worked perfectly for our stay in the Seattle area. Ballard has so much to offer...restaurants, coffee houses, shopping...and it's all within a short walk from this property. Mary was readily available for questions and she had the home lit up and welcoming on our late arrival. My only regret is that we were so busy out exploring that we did not spend much time in the home. The kitchen was well supplied had we wanted to do any cooking. The pull-out sofas were comfortable as was the bed. There was plenty of living space for the 4 adults in our party.

Wonderful home away from home!!

  • 5 of 5

We loved every part of this amazing rental! It is even better than described or pictured. The house is very well maintained and clean. We felt so comfortable and relaxed and totally "at home". The location is perfect - walkable to anything you'd want to do in Ballard. We rented for a month and did not have a car. It's a few blocks from the Rapid Ride bus stop, making any trip to downtown Seattle easy, quick, and affordable. There are cafes, restaurants, shops, a Sunday farmers' market, grocery stores, bars, and places of interest all within walking distance. We were fortunate to meet the very friendly and helpful owners, which only added to our love of this house. My only hesitation in our high recommendation is that it'll become more difficult to find a vacancy here in the future! :) This will definitely be our go-to rental any time we're in the Seattle area.

Like staying in your own home

  • 5 of 5

This place is amazing! It is exactly as pictured, but even better. It is like living in a small town of yesteryear in a neighborhood of cute, well-maintained homes only a few blocks from the Ballard shopping district with it's great restaurants, bars and coffee shops. The owners are extremely helpful. We would highly recommend this -- but you need to reserve early!

Home away from home

  • 5 of 5

This was the second year we stayed at this lovely Ballard Victorian. We have chosen the month of April each year to visit. I loved it even more the second time. The house is very clean and well appointed. The location is fabulous. My husband biked every day and I got a month membership at the Olympic athletic club so I could swim each day. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. The farmers market on Sunday is chock full of good stuff. The park at the end of the point is a wonderful, place to relax by the water and enjoy the sight of beautiful sailboats on the horizon. Then of course there are a myriad of other things to do in and around Seattle. You can't go wrong staying here.
