Middletown House Rental Photos and Description

4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, 1 half bath, sleeps 8

This lovely 3200 sq. ft. home is situated on 4 acres of land surrounded by stone walls and gardens. The interior of the house is very open and inviting with spacious, sunny rooms that lead out to lovely outdoor spaces. The wisteria covered pergola on the south side of the house has comfortable seating overlooking a beautiful flower garden. A step inside from the terrace takes you into the room where everyone wants to gather because of it's cozy sectional as well as a large dining area with seating for 10 and lots of things to entertain little ones after a day at the beach or on the town.

A step up from the terrace room takes you into an inviting kitchen/family area with warm wood floors, flat screen TV and plenty of granite counter space, cabinets, and an over-abundance of kitchen-ware.

The furniture and amenities are comfortable and attractive throughout the house.

This is a unique property within easy travel distance to everything Aquidneck Island has to offer. Within 1.5 miles are two beautiful beaches (Second and Third), two nature preserves (The Norman Bird Sanctuary and Sachuest Pt. National Wildlife Preserve) , an award winning golf course (Newport National...open to the public), the Newport Equestrian Center (take a trail ride or lesson), Greenvale Vineyard (winetasting), and Sweet Berry Farm (pick your own fruits, or buy their fresh produce, grass fed beef, baked goods, prepared meals etc. etc.).

If it's the ocean you're craving, check out Sachuest (2nd) Beach for swimming, surfing, kayaking, sun-bathing or people watching. Third Beach is the place to go if you have young kids. The water is calmer and the ambiance is more family-friendly. Weekly parking passes are available and are good for both beaches.

You can always tour the island by trolley, or boat (your own or on one of the many and varied tours in the harbor.

Newport has an amazing assortment of museums, art galleries, shops, mansions, restaurants, etc. There's just no running out of things to do.

Or...you could just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet on the terrace.

GORGEOUS HOME WITH MARVELOUS YARD

  • 5 of 5

Our family ( 8 adults and a one year old) rented this beautiful home for 5 days to prepare for the wedding of one of our daughters.

Upon arrival, Betty Lou, the owner was there to greet us. She spent over an hour walking us through the house and around the yard while being sure we new where everything was that we would need to make our stay comfortable. Additionally she provided a great deal of information about the neighborhood as well as Middleton and Newport.

What is displayed in the pictures on this website is exactly what we found. The home was immaculate, charming, welcoming and very cozy. There was plenty of room for all of as we readied ourselves on the wedding day. The setting both inside and outside provided for some very beautiful photos.

Our entire family is still talking about this wonderful home and how it was the perfect place for such a special time in our lives as well how accommodating our host was.

Beautifully charming home and grounds.

  • 5 of 5

My wife rented this beautiful home to celebrate my 40th birthday with my family visiting from the UK and Australia. Betty Lou and Bill were gracious hosts, meeting us in the rain when we arrived as well as being available to call whenever we had a question, during our stay. The house had more than enough room to accommodate 8 and the garden and grounds were beautifully kept & maintained. Everything is as described and pictured if not prettier and more charming than.

The 3 children and our cocker spaniel Harley, had a wonderful time playing in the garden on the swings and spotting birds and rabbits around the 4 acre property. There's a charming walk carved out through the gardens at the back too.

The location is ideal. nice a secluded for privacy. Though an easy bike or walk to third beach. A car will get you quickly everywhere else. Sandy point beach was an ideal beach for us. Perfect for kids and they allow leashed dogs too.

We ate out in Newport at a Mexican restaurant called "Perro Salado" - delicious! There my daughter and niece politely chatted with Parker Posey who was in town shooting a Woody Allen movie that week.

For a group of 4 or more / or 2-3 couples with kids this is perfect. We all had a wonderful stay. We would certainly stay again and we highly recommend this Middletown RI vacation home to everyone.

Awesome home for a fabulous week in Middletown

  • 5 of 5

We rented this delightfully charming home for a week in October in preparation for my daughter’s wedding. We looked for a place to call home for this very special occasion and this home did not disappoint. It is absolutely incredible, very spacious yet comfy and cozy and impeccably maintained. The terrace room is especially inviting and a place I found my family spending much of their time. The backyard is beautiful and peaceful, definitely a place to enjoy a cup of coffee while admiring the magnificent gardens. The location is perfect, set apart from the hustle and bustle of downtown Newport, yet just a short drive away, and just down the road is Sweet Berry Farm, a perfect little place to buy all sorts of edible treats! My family which consisted of 8 people spanning 3 generations felt so much at home. It was just what we were looking for. The house is well stocked with helpful instructions on where to find things, and the owners were a pleasure to work with. I would definitely recommend this home; we couldn’t have asked for any place better and have so many amazing memories of our perfect week in Middletown. Thank you again Betty and Bill for allowing us to share your home for this momentous occasion!

Wedding Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We rented this home for our daughter's wedding weekend in June. The house was photo perfect but also extremely comfortable for our family while we prepared for the big day. It was the perfect setting for the bridesmaids photos before the wedding and our family gathering the next morning as we sat on the terrace for breakfast . The owners could not have been more gracious and helpful in making us feel at home for the weekend. Our wedding photographer was from France and as she stepped into the sun-room she commented it looked like France--a true tribute to the stunning beauty of this home and grounds. We feel very fortunate to have found such a gem for this very special family weekend. We would highly recommend this rental property!

Awe-inspiring garden at Gorgeous Middletown Home

  • 5 of 5

Our visit to this Middletown home to celebrate my father's birthday could not have been better. The home was beautiful and could easily house my family, my brother's family, and our parents...while still giving everyone their space. The location is only a few minutes drive from the beach and just down the road from a wonderful farm with homemade ice cream. The flowers at the home were phenomenal and there was more than enough space for 4 youngsters to run to their heart's content. What a wonderful discovery!
