Come unwind at our beautiful waterfront home, located in the Texas Hill Country on 25 acres. Not only do we offer privacy, but the relaxation and comfort that you, your family and friends deserve. Along with breathtaking lake views, from nearly every room in the main house, we offer fishing in our fully stocked pond, basket ball, volleyball, washer boards and even a porch swing for you to relax in. For those interested in Texas style "Bar-B-Q", we have a large custom built-in smoker, a newly remodeled outdoor kitchen and a new oversized fire pit. Our property is perfect for family reunions, the gathering of friends and is 'kid-friendly'.

Should you choose to venture off of the property, you are within minutes of floating the Guadalupe river, attending an amazing concert at "Whitewater" or visiting historic "Gruene Hall", touring the Canyon Lake Gorge, spending the day at Schlitterbaun Water Park, Sea World or Six Flags San Antonio. There are many area boutiques, antique shops and even the San Marcos Outlet Mall. If you are a 'wine connoisseur'', enjoy one of the many area wineries which are only a short drive away.

About Jill Cunningham-Baker

Originally from Houston, my family and I moved to Austin in 1980. After our children graduated from Lake Travis High School, I decided that a move to the country was in order. So in 2000, I built my home on Canyon Lake and by 2001, I was full time resident. Once settled in, I began to adopt farm animals and from there it has grown by leaps and bounds. Who would think that a city girl would become a farm girl?

Why Jill Cunningham-Baker chose Canyon Lake

"El Rancho Regenia" was built as my parents retirement home in the mid-80's. After my parents were gone, I was fortunate enough to purchase this beautiful property, that meant so much to them, and expand the farm. From the time it was constructed, our family and friends have enjoyed this very special place on Canyon Lake. "El Rancho Regenia" holds many precious memories of when our children were young and the times we spent here. We are now making many new memories with our own grandchildren in this very special place.

One of my greatest joys is the ability to share "El Rancho Regenia" with wonderful families who want to experience a little bit of the country life while enjoying the company of family and friends. My hope is that this will continue for many years to come...

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. We had a great time and could have not ask for anything more. We found the utensil drawer under the countertop and everything was there just like you said. Hopefully we will be back for a long weekend this year, but if not, we will be definately see you next "spring break". Everything was wonderful!

Notes:
The main floor has a fully furnished kitchen, a dining set with 8 chairs, 2 stools, a high chair and a breakfast bar that seats 4. Our oversized family room extends onto a large covered deck where you can sip your morning coffee and watch the sunrise over the lake or just relax after a long day of playing. The master suite has a private entrance onto the upper covered deck. Downstairs has a small kitchenette, living area, 2 bedrooms, 2 ½ baths, utility room along with outdoor access. We have a newly remodeled covered outdoor kitchen with a large custom built smoker and beautiful granite countertops. Below the home we have a fully stocked pond with a lighted pier - be sure to bring your own bait and tackle! Walking, biking and horse back riding trails meander around the property along beautiful Canyon Lake. We provide outdoor games (volleyball, horseshoes, basketball and washer boards).

The best home rental experience

We absolutely love this house — from the beautiful view of the lake from the upstairs balcony/dining area to the outdoor kitchen seating area to the coziness of the living room, kitchen and bedroom areas.

The kids loved visiting and feeding the animals. The adults enjoyed walking the grounds, especially Jill’s herb and vegetable garden.

The well-stocked Brookshire Bros. grocery store is only 5 mins away and the Suntex boat rental marina is 10 mins away.

We rented a boat at Suntex and drove it up to the shoreline at Rancho to pick up/drop off our gang.

We have rented many vacation homes over the years. We have stayed at many homes like Rancho Regenia that are in wonderful locations with beautiful views.

Jill’s Rancho Regenia is, however, in a league of its own. We are accustomed to “rental quality” furnishings and “rental quality” stocked kitchens, even with the higher-end homes like Ranch Regenia. What sets Rancho Regenia apart is that it is fitted out as an “owner quality” vacation home. It is beautifully appointed and has absolutely everything that one needs in a home and kitchen (including spices)— and it even has the stuff that we have at home for our infant child — highseat, packnplay, bouncer.

Our only regret from our stay was that we only booked it for a weekend. We will definitely be back and will stay several days next time.

Beautiful property and perfect getaway

We loved the home and Jill was fabulous. All the beds are very comfortable and the home is very well equipped. We had 3 couples and a teenager and it fit everyone perfectly! We will definitely be back.

Wonderful lake house!

My family came here to go boating and have family time. This is a wonderful property to stay at! It’s very clean and spacious and has a wonderful deck to grill and eat on. Our grandson had so much fun feeding the animals each day and watching the deer eat corn! Highly recommend!

What a beautiful home!!!! We had the best time with our family and friends. So

Much space! Fresh flowers, wine, and an apple pie was there to welcome us! The details in the entire house inside and out were perfect. We would love to start a tradition coming back here. You will NOT be disappointed!!! Very sweet owner!

'El Rancho Regenia' is situated on 25 acres in the Texas Hill Country and is within walking distance to beautiful Canyon Lake. Canyon Lake Marina is located across the cove from our property and rents both jet skis and boats. Should you have your own 'lake toys' we are within 10 minutes of several public boat ramps.

You can float the river at Whitewater (15 minutes), take a walking tour of 'The Gorge' (15 minutes),

New Braunfels Schlitterbahn Water Park (30 minutes), Sea World or Six Flags San Antonio (1.25 hour), Texas State Capital in Austin (1.25 hour), Fredricksburg for wine tours (1.30 hour), Wimberley for shopping (20 minutes) and Gruene Hall 'Oldest Dance Hall in Texas' (20 minutes),
