About Jill Cunningham-Baker
Originally from Houston, my family and I moved to Austin in 1980. After our children graduated from Lake Travis High School, I decided that a move to the country was in order. So in 2000, I built my home on Canyon Lake and by 2001, I was full time resident. Once settled in, I began to adopt farm animals and from there it has grown by leaps and bounds. Who would think that a city girl would become a farm girl?
Jill Cunningham-Baker purchased this House in 2014
Why Jill Cunningham-Baker chose Canyon Lake
"El Rancho Regenia" was built as my parents retirement home in the mid-80's. After my parents were gone, I was fortunate enough to purchase this beautiful property, that meant so much to them, and expand the farm. From the time it was constructed, our family and friends have enjoyed this very special place on Canyon Lake. "El Rancho Regenia" holds many precious memories of when our children were young and the times we spent here. We are now making many new memories with our own grandchildren in this very special place. One of my greatest joys is the ability to share "El Rancho Regenia" with wonderful families who want to experience a little bit of the country life while enjoying the company of family and friends. My hope is that this will continue for many years to come...

We absolutely loved this stunning home and all the amenities it has to offer.
We rent homes all over and travel for business. Of all the homes we’ve rented, this home has been the most well stocked home along with an amazing kitchen that has everything a cook needs to feed their family. Loved, Loved, Loved it!!! Thank you Jill for opening your home for my family to enjoy!!!
It truly warms my heart to hear that everything I have worked so hard for is appreciated by kind families such as yours. I am so glad that "El Rancho Regenia" exceeded your expectations and we look forward to your return visit.
Our family of 10 stayed in this beautiful house because it was in close proximity to a wedding we were attending. It had everything that we needed and accommodated us perfectly. We instantly felt at home the moment we walked in the door. Jill is a lovely host. She made everything easy for us and we also had the pleasure of meeting her while we were there. The entire family loved the place and we would not hesitate to return. We highly recommend!
Welcoming & relaxing
We had a great time. This is our third visit and we are already planning our next visit this summer.
I am so glad that everyone had a great time!
Thank you for the care you and your family take with our home.
It is always greatly appreciated!
I look forward to seeing ya'll again this summer.
Jill and the farm
A LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN....
We celebrated our friends 81st birthday at El Rancho Regenia, and what a special birthday it was. The home was gorgeous and everything we could have possibly needed was provided.
We were greeted with fresh flowers, wine and fresh baked cookies along with a welcome note.
Our favorite place was the main living deck, which overlooks the lake and the property. The sunrises, along with the sunsets, were awesome. Thank you Jill for sharing you and your families beautiful home with us...you are the perfect hostess!
The property was wonderful!
El Rancho Regenia was wonderful and had every amenity you need! The only problem we had was the weather!!! Cold and rainy, which limited our activities, but that's the risk we take vacationing in February! Jill was so friendly and accommodating, we would definitely recommend her property.
Very pretty place and pretty seasonal decorations around the property. Landlord next door was available for questions or any help we needed. She was attentive to our needs and was accommodating. She was otherwise out of the picture and certainly didn't bother us any. Lots of animals on the property which was fun but also meant you had to watch where you stepped to keep from stepping on poop. House is well furnished. The checkout instructions were just a little more involved than you would expect after paying nearly $300 for cleaning fee. Overall, great place and pleasant and helpful landlord.
I am sincerely sorry that my 2 geese felt the need to come up to the house and poop...
They are typically kept in a fenced area, however, I have had issues with coyotes attacking/killing some of the smaller farm animals and the only means of protection for the ducks and geese are to have access to the pond.
I make every effort to provide a beautiful, exceptionally clean home for my guests to stay in while visiting. If you feel that this was not accomplished, please let me know and I will refund you whatever you feel is fair.
'El Rancho Regenia' is situated on 25 acres in the Texas Hill Country and is within walking distance to beautiful Canyon Lake. Canyon Lake Marina is located across the cove from our property and rents both jet skis and boats. Should you have your own 'lake toys' we are within 10 minutes of several public boat ramps.
You can float the river at Whitewater (15 minutes), take a walking tour of 'The Gorge' (15 minutes),
New Braunfels Schlitterbahn Water Park (30 minutes), Sea World or Six Flags San Antonio (1.25 hour), Texas State Capital in Austin (1.25 hour), Fredricksburg for wine tours (1.30 hour), Wimberley for shopping (20 minutes) and Gruene Hall 'Oldest Dance Hall in Texas' (20 minutes),
plus so much more to see and do.....
