What makes this studio unique

the beauty of the ocean, the pureness of the air, the peace around us, the birds songs, the flamboyant trees, the tiny frogs song at night, what else?

Great Location

We had a fantastic time at Phillipe & Dora's Place. Everything is very nice & clean. It is located up the hill from La Vista so it is a short drive or walk to Peli-Deli & the Beach. Very Safe as it is a gated property. The Host's are great people to work with & they made sure we had everything. I will stay here again.

This is our second time we have stayed with Dora and Phillipe. Clean and user friendly, in a great location. Wonderful hosts that will help you, if necessary, on places to go. View is exactly as shown. Walking is an option here as it is close to groceries, restaurants, beach. We always rent a car so we can go around the island. Perfect spot for a "home base"

My wife and I stayed here for 10 days and it couldn't have been more perfect. The pictures don't lie, what you see is what you get. Newly renovated and we'll decorated apartment. The room is very well equipped for cooking. The view is amazing to wake up to and enjoy breakfast on the front patio. Philipp and Dora are great owners. More than accommodating, very friendly and easy to get ahold of if needed. I would recommend this apartment to anyone. It's about a 5 minute walk to the beach and a small grocery store or 15 minutes to the restaurants and bars on the main rd. We loved our stay here !

Great apartment!

  • 5 of 5

The place was really great - just as advertised, really well laid out and thoughfully equipped. Dora and Phillipe are great to deal with.

For getting around the Island - figure out the Minibus - Taxis are VERY expensive. Hilda's Windsor Castle in Simpson Bay is the Bomb! and Elvis at Sky's the Limit in Grand Case - big thumbs up for local, or "LoLo" food. Take cash if you're exploring the island - not all machines work. The French side is more Lonely Planet style traveler - bit more earthy. Check out SO French near the apartment. It lives up to the name. Some of the best Foie Gras I've had on 3 continents.

The walk up the hill? Sure, it can be a bit of a thing if you're sunstroked and tired at the end of the day. But truly, it wasn't that bad. If it weren't for that hill, I'd have gotten fat with all the good French food I ate.

For god's sake remember to wear sunscreen and a hat, and like anyone who's read Hitchiker's Guide to the Universe knows, know where your towel is. They cost 4 Euros on Orient beach. I know where mine is: I left it on Dora and Phillipe's railing :D

Loved the place! Owners were very kind, take good care of the property, very clean. Waking up to the view in the morning was the best. It is a good walk over very steep hills to the beach, so you will need a car, or be in good shape. It was a little farther from the beach than I expected, but doable. Probably was better that way, away from crowds and noise. Neighborhood was very quiet at night, except for an occasional barking dog in the am. Perfect kitchen area to make breakfast every morning, and eat on the balcony. Lots of room for all your luggage and belongings. Very secure and safe. Opportunity to enjoy ocean breeze, or use air conditioner that work very good. Internet was fully functional and easy to connect. We stayed a week, and enjoyed every moment.

Fanastic studio suite with a great deck and superb ocean view!

  • 5 of 5

First off, Dora & Philippe are very gracious hosts! The pride and beauty of their lovely rental property and home is shown in the attention to the property both indoors and out. For two people you can not ask for more, great layout of space, ample closet storage, modern bathroom, comfortable bed, air conditioning that is top notch and a great kitchen to cook in and a plus is a bbq. I do recommend a car, the hill can at times take its toll on a person when walking, you need to rent a car to see all of the island and the beauty. Oh, another great feature is parking, that is a real plus. We spent 11 days in this gem and loved it all!

I highly recommend the property to anyone and will be returning!
