House, 4 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 8)
This inviting lakefront home is perfect for families. The large, private, fenced in yard keeps toddlers from going to the lake. The porch swing on the deck is a great place to watch awesome sunsets.
The house has spacious rooms and comfortable furniture. The great room has a fireplace and built in bookshelves that are full of books, videos, DVD’s and games. Cable TV and wireless internet are available too. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, utensils and small appliances, but no dishwasher. The table in the dining area off the great room seats 8. Sunny breakfasts are delightful on the cozy, knotty pine porch.
The upstairs has 3 bedrooms with views of the lake; one has 2 antique twins; another has a queen and 2 twins. The third is a small bedroom with 1 twin bed. The downstairs bedroom has a double bed and is near the bathroom. The Bunkhouse has been remodeled and is now available as extra sleeping space. It has it’s own powder room and a set of bunk beds, but is not winterized.
The new stairs to the lake are lit with solar lamps. Our 100 feet of waterfront includes a deck, a 50 ft long L shaped dock, and a swimming beach. You can use the canoe and swim to the raft (note - raft available between Memorial Day and Labor Day). The lake is about 5 ft. deep at the raft. Seneca Lake has excellent fishing and boating, with marina’s nearby to rent all types of boats. Cookout on the gas grill and roast marshmallows on the firepit. There is parking for 3 cars.

About Chris Carson
Chuck spent every summer on Seneca Lake as a child and we have emotional ties to this property. Our family loves to gather here, play in the water, and make memories. We enjoy the peace and beauty of the lake and surrounding vineyards. We like to get to know our renter's who we share our house with.

Charming Cottage grounds were well kept and the Cottage is in great shape.
My family and I just returned form an amazing visit to the Finger Lakes and Chris and Chuck’s Cottage was above our expectations. The decor was well done with wood accent pieces and the space was open and not cluttered. The rooms were well done as well and the linens were very nice.
The closeness to the water made for an amazing view and a very special vacation for our family.
Thanks so much,
Perfect house with lots of charm!
This was our second time staying at this house. And it was just as charming as I remembered from our last stay. The view from the back porch of the Seneca lake is just breathtaking at all times of day. This house is just minutes away from some amazing wineries & breweries. The house owners are very friendly and will answer any questions. I'm already looking forward to our next vacation on the Seneca Lake, and we will definitely be booking this house again.

This cottage was just what we needed. Cozy, clean and plenty of room. Backyard deck and great view of Seneca lake. Good wineries are close.

It is a beautiful property in an excellent location.
We loved our stay here. Everything was perfect. A beautiful cottage with a beautiful view of Seneca Lake, and access to the lake. Plenty of amenities. Very clean and comfortable. Hope to return to this location in the future.

Wonderful cozy cottage
We spent two wonderfully relaxing weeks at the cottage. From the moment we walked in it was home. Clean, cozy and everything you need is provided. The views from the porch and the sunsets were pure relaxation. Great lawn and plenty of places for people to gather.Loved the large picnic table inside for family dinners and game nights. We were blessed with rain for only a couple of hours out of the whole two weeks. The water was warm, although there were weeds( not a fault of the owners, just a fact). The only thing that could be difficult for some families with older members are the many steps down to the water. Not a problem for us personally, but an elderly grandma could not manage the stairs. Nice area in the water close to shore that was weed free for little ones to play. We explored Geneva, Glens Falls, Canandaigua, Waterloo, Montezuma. wineries and beer trails on three lakes. Great restaurants to be found! We especially enjoyed the cheese tasting at the Muranda Cheese Company and buying fresh fruit, veggies and bread from the Mennonite food stand nearby. You will not be disappointed by the cottage or the area! Wish I was back there now! Chris and Chuck were great to work with! Thanks for the memories!
Thanks for the very nice review. We so glad you enjoyed your stay at our Lakehouse and to the area, and we hope you return soon. Chuck and Chris
Located in the heart of the Finger Lakes, we are surrounded by wonderful wineries, open all year round. We are less than an hour to Watkins Glen for hiking the gorge and for racecar enthusiasts. Canandaigua and Ithaca offer artsy shopping and theater. Other attractions are the Performing Arts Center in Canandaigua, the National Women’s Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls, and the Waterloo Outlet Mall. In the winter, it is a short drive to Bristol Mt. for skiing, or to Rochester or Syracuse.
