Cozy and clean and comfortable
We stayed in this lovely home for Dartmouth graduation. It was about 20 minutes from campus. It was very tidy and had everything we needed for our family’s stay. We loved the back porch and the woods. Our favorite restaurant in the area is Simon Pearce, but we were not able to get in this weekend. If you come on a busy weekend like Dartmouth graduation I recommend booking several months in advance. We ate at the Quechee club which allows non-members to have dinner. The food was very good. Laurie was a great hostess- friendly and easy to communicate with. We would recommend this home for a great Vermont/ NH visit.
We can not express how much we appreciated this ho
We can not express how much our friends from France appreciated renting this Quechee home in June when they came for our son's wedding. EVERYTHING was perfection...the setting, the decor, the cleanliness and ease of working with the owner, Laurie!!
The layout was ideal for two couples (parents and grandparents) and three children. Our friends preferred to be in a home rather than a condo for the obvious advantages of country privacy. This home fulfilled their dream of a Vermont vacation in the midst of a lot of wedding activities. We cannot thank Laurie enough for offering her home to our fiends. It was perfect in every way.
Home away from home
I would highly recommend this home to anyone. The house was bright, clean and spacious. It had all the amenities of home! From a grill to a steam shower this house had it all! The house was quiet and peaceful with all the serene greenery surrounding it! We hiked trails right out the back door! I was also thankful for all the local information the homeowner provided. My family visited the Queechy Gorge, Lake Pinneo, Woodstock farmers market and VINS Nature Center! We look forward to making an annual tradition to visit!
Cozy, Clean and quiet!
I had never rented from Homeaway before, but after reading the reviews on this house I booked it and glad I did. We were in Vermont for a girls weekend and the house was perfect for the 7 of us.
The house was clean, roomy and even better in person. The living room with the large sectional was perfect for chatting by the fire. Plenty of seating for eating in the kitchen/dining and the kitchen had everything you needed to cook a meal.
We had about 4 inches of snow overnight and were plowed before we woke up.
The owner was great and I would stay here again!
Comfortable family home
Five people, three generations, all arrived to enjoy Columbus Day Weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed the quiet and beauty of this wooded spot as well as the layout of the home which allowed everyone lots of room and privacy. Although secluded, we were not far from the attractions of Quechee, Woodstock and Hanover, Every amenity we could have needed was provided and worked perfectly. We would definitely recommend this for anyone seeking a comfortable family home away,.
Secluded and quiet
This was a great house for our family to stay in for our son's wedding which was at the Quechee Club. The bedrooms were large and comfortable and it was quite relaxing to be in the house. It's a shady setting in the woods. I would recommend this for the quiet retreat types. The wedding at the Quechee Club was fantastic.
