Nice place convienent to the Grand Canyon

  • 5 of 5

We picked this place for it's remote location. I brought my telescope and got some great photos. The cement pad with power was great. While the house blocked a small portion of the sky I had better than 270 degrees of unrestricted view.

The house was clean and very well kept. And they had a welcome tray with snacks for when we got there. We will be back

Overall pleased

  • 4 of 5

Just my mom and I for a week-long stay at this three bedroom home; we liked the location in relation to the South Rim entrance and Williams; we did plenty of driving for the week! Accommodations were appropriate; wanted to clean the cobwebs though! Appreciated the water and snacks (although we didn't eat very many of them) and going home with a suitcase of clean laundry was also a great bonus. Highly recommend this location for a family who's visit is for the purpose of spending time in the Grand Canyon.

Beautiful view

  • 3 of 5

The owners couldn't be nicer and the views better at this house "in the middle of nowhere. About 30 minutes from Grand Canyon, it's a nice stop over if you don't want to stay in a crowded hotel or have the desperate need to do laundry on your journey. We were greeted with a beautiful gift basket upon arrival and the house was clean and cute. The living area is lovely, but the bedrooms are very run down and threadbare. At night, the house fills with bugs that are finding their way inside. Granted, you are in the middle of the desert, in the middle of nowhere, so some of that is bound to happen. Keep in mind that the water is stored in a large container on the property - at a couple of different points, after doing laundry and showers, we lost use of the water and had to shut it down to reboot for some time. The home is in the middle of a stretch of desert with very little around it, so if you are spooked, this might not be the place for you!

Owner's Response: During monsoon season we do experience bugs in the area and if the windows or doors are left open, some may come into the property. That is Arizona in July and August but to alert guests, we are adding a reminder to our instructions. After this visit, we had guests express some concerns and we resealed the windows to help. We also had some maintained done to our water pump to address the stop issue. We do try our best to make our guest comfortable and need to know if there are any issues so we can address them. We have someone on call 24/7 for issues.

House was located about half way between Williams and the Grand Canyon. Owners were easy to work with and very gracious.

serene, secure and spacious

  • 5 of 5

We had missed our flight, so instead of arriving in the evening, we arrived around 4 in the morning; thankfully the directions were clear, as it was dark even though the moon was almost full, and it's in quite an isolated area. As soon as we walked into the home, we breathed a sigh of relief and felt completely at ease; and we were so grateful for the abundant 'goodie basket' which awaited us, especially the water bottles. We really liked all the windows and sliding glass door, as well as the fireplace in the living room; the layout was very practical and comfortable, and having a front and back porch was a treat! Our teenage daughter, an Avengers fan, liked the 'secret' armrests of the sofa. It is the best & biggest house as far as the eye can see, so we felt a bit spoiled. And being about a half an hour from both Williams (which we recommend) and the Grand Canyon is both convenient and peaceful.

Perfect house, perfect location

  • 5 of 5

I can't say enough good things about this place! With it being halfway between Williams proper and the Grand Canyon, it knocked off a good bit of driving each morning. The sunset out the back and the moonrise out the front took my breath away. My teenaged boys and I would love to stay her longer! I have already told three families about this house in hopes that they can stay here too.
