Burke Mountain Resort is 5 minutes away for downhill skiing. Kingdom Trails, which features 120 miles of bike and Nordic ski trails, runs right through the property. This trail system was voted 'best trail system in North America' by BIKE magazine in 2010. For snowmobilers there is a private connector trail to the VAST system and a large garage to store your sleds. If you just want to get away from it all and relax this 6 acres is very private with stunning mountain views. The historic New England village of East Burke is within walking distance and features several restaurants and shops. This property is owned and operated by IdeRide, the area's only mountain bike guiding/instruction company. If you are in need of a guide, instructor or bike rentals let us know.
We stayed here for 4 days with a group of guys for riding at KT. Perfect location and you can ride out from the house for Darling Hill. The Living room is huge and easily fit us on the night it rained. Everything you would expect in the house to support your stay (Coffee pot(s!) Pots and pans, Dishwasher, Washer and Dryer. All the linens and towels were clean and plenty of hot water for showers.
The garage was great and surprisingly we used it a lot for bikes, gear and general hanging out when we got back from rides until we cleaned up.
The only thing to be aware of is the grill is charcoal (Good, but the listing didn't state it) So, we had to go back to the store to grab some. Other than that, Can't wait to book the house again for next year!
The property was very clean. The owner was a mint and very quick on emails. Everything was easy about the house (kitchen, rooms). Best situation for the bike trails. I highly recommend this place.
Jen was great, so accommodating. Organizing a group of 14 can be like herding cats, but Jen really went out of her way as people dropped out and other people joined to be flexible. She answered questions, offered suggestions, and was super responsive.
Perfect spot for mt. bikers and trail users of all kinds. Beautiful view.
I just returned from another great stay with at Jen's house. Its perfect for a larger group traveling to the area for mountain biking. The house is right in the middle of all the trails.. all the best trails are just a quick pedal away! Also has a great yard and views of the mountain but is also close by to town. The garage attached to the house is great for setting up a bike workshop and bike storage. The house is equipped with everything you need. Jen is a local and a mountain biker herself so she is close by if you have any questions about the area or the house. Highly recommended!
The house was perfect and Jenn was so easy to work with! The house was clean and perfect for our group- we all decided to bring our kiddos and so it worked perfectly having a group of folks ride the trails which are literally in the backyard while the rest of the group hung out with kiddos. There was plenty of space so everyone had plenty of room- kids could nap while the adults hung out and enjoyed the gorgeous view. We were so sad that the weekend had to end!
