Fantastic. Peaceful. Beautiful. Simply put amazing place!

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we arrived, we all were in awe of this beautiful river front home. Ran out like it was Christmas morning-what a beautiful gift to our family to be able to stay at such a wonderful home on the most perfect property. The river was just amazing, and like so many people had posted before, leave the windows open to hear the sounds of the river all day and night! From the beautiful natural landscaped gardens, the oversized deck to watch the morning birds and have a cup of coffee, to the lovely home itself was truly a dream vacation spot for our family! If (when) we return, we would absolutely stay here!

Serene Riverside Setting

  • 5 of 5

We just completed a 4 night 4 day stay and everything was wonderful. The owners responded within an hour of booking the reservation, and they were very efficient and timely with any communication leading up to arrival. The home is a beautiful post and beam cabin located directly in front of the Sandy River. The owners description of the property is spot on. The home is very clean, modern, well furnished and decorated. The kitchen was fully stocked with all utensils, pot, pans, dishes .... you name it, everything you would ever need. Plenty of bedding, linens and towels too.......Really well stocked. The home also had a great back deck overlooking the river, and a really nice back yard with a fire pit. The entire back of the home has huge windows to take advantage of the river views.

The location was ideal with Mt Hood and the city of Sandy being 20 minutes, Portland and Hood River just an hour away. Off the beaten path for sure, but there were plenty of places to eat and small stores literally 5 minutes away. In my opinion, a great all around location.

I'd like to thank Mary and Daniel for opening up their home to my family. It is honestly a little piece of paradise for anyone who enjoys appreciates the outdoors. We would absolutely stay again.

Beautiful Cabin & Settting - Great owners!

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful house is everything advertised. The setting on the Sandy River is beautiful, as is the house. Very comfortable, great wifi - everything works as you would hope. The owners are great. I left a personal item there and they went out of their way to help get it back to me. We were a group of 6 friends and we would all return.

Spring Break Adventure

  • 5 of 5

Our 2-night stay included 2 families (4 adults/4 children) who all had a magical time. There was more than enough room for all of us with plenty of activities to entertain us (puzzles, boardgames, card games, etc). We had a small learning curve with the fireplace but the owners were eager and patient to help when we called.

We had a blast snow tubing (even with rain) at Summit Ski and then had a tasty lunch and beautiful views and enjoyed the snow at Timberline Lodge. Our vacation then moved to the city but we all wished we planned to stay longer at the cabin. We're already discussing a return visit for sure!

Absolutely Beautiful! !!!

  • 5 of 5

We were all "blown away" how beautiful it was. Then to see the beautiful river and the trees through all the Windows of the cabin, it was breathtaking. We appreciated it so much. They thought of everything you would need or want. We enjoyed playing the board games in the evening, my granddaughter made us a cheesecake, they even had a pie plate for that!
