Zatarra Homes represents Caribbean living/lifestyle at it's best!
Nestled in the heart of Cap Estate, one of the more affluent areas of the island exists a property spanning across ¾ acre of lush landscaping and a cool Atlantic breeze and 18 hole golf course.
Designed and built by celebrity artiste, Rob Zii Taylor and his wife, Veron ,their labor of love and unique style and design is now complete.

Zatarra House, a modern, chic yet Caribbean styled 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom haven, is larger than Villa Zatarra yet share the same ¾ acre lot although each can maintain total privacy from each other. So there is the option of renting either or both depending on your group size,
Original paintings, driftwood, stone floors, wooden decks, waterfall and a beautiful pool with color changing LED lights, herb garden, hammocks Ocean views are just some of the eye pleasing features of this property.

What makes Villa Zatarra & Zatarra House popular with guests that have stayed here?
“It’s simple…the attention to detail and personal interaction and help received from booking to the time leave and return home from the owners Rob & Veron who are always on hand and manage and maintain the property themselves to assure the best experience and vacation one could expect from their trip to this beautiful Caribbean island.”
So, where does the name Zatarra come from? Is often asked. Well, you will have to come stay here for the owner to explain that one himself to you!!
Apart from experiencing the peaceful serenity of Villa Zatarra, you'll also be able to catch Rob at one of his performances like this sunset one. See you here in St.Lucia!!
Robert & Veron Taylor purchased this villa in 2005
Cap Estate is the most popular place in St.lucia for a vacation home. surrounded by beautiful views and other quality homes and very close and convenient to restaurants, shopping and beaches.
We were greeted promptly by the pre arranged arrival pick up. He was pleasant, professional and gave us a great tour of the island as we crossed it from the south to the northwest on our over an hour trip to the Villa. Making a few stops along the way for scenic overlooks, fresh baked bread and fresh squeezed juice. He also stopped in Rodney Bay for us to get groceries and needed amenities. He gave us his grocery discount card and loaded the groceries for us!!
When we pulled up to the villa, it looked exactly as the pictures and we were greeted by Veron, the owner. The villa was beautiful and serene. Pool was the perfect temperature and the waterfall soothing ( Rob even adjusted the waterfall timer to meet our requested times for when we were home at the villa so we could fully enjoy).
Air conditioning is in both bedrooms as noted, and there is no need for it in the common areas due to excellent trade winds. Villa is well stocked in the kitchen as well as beach/pool towels. DVD player is not compatible to USA DVD formatting however the villa had dozens of DVD's to select from with various options.
Beds were very comfortable and sheets were soft. Any minor issues were attended to immediately and rectified.
The openness of the villa creates a wonderful Caribbean feel bringing the outside indoors by opening all the double doors throughout. Keep in mind opening the doors you need to be mindful of the mosquitoes. We knew this in advance and brought citronella candles with us as well as mosquito coils. The candles only added to the exquisite ambiance.
Rob and Veron live next door though you wouldn't know it and they are super respectful of your privacy. Their long standing knowledge of the island is a bonus as Veron gave us a local tour of beaches, restaurants and local stores even stopping to introduce us to fresh coconut water. All of Veron's suggestions were outstanding from the restaurants such as the Cliff at Cap to the naked fisherman as well as her beach suggestions. Having rented for a week we had complimentary access to the villa vehicle and that proved to be invaluable.
We also spent a couple afternoons hiking Pigeon Island National park eating at Jambe de Bois and Chef Robby's. Never have we had better conch than at Chef Robby's and we have traveled extensively in the Caribbean. Conch is our favorite, even catching our own and cooking but nothing surpasses Chef Robby! Best enjoyed with a Cold Piton!
We truly enjoyed our stay
I am not going to repeat a lot of what Tara & Rob wrote in the previous review but I will emphasize that I had very similar feelings about Rob and Veron's villa. We have stayed in many villa's is several countries and several locations in the U.S. but this has to be at the very top of my experiences to date. First, I will mention that we have never had such a wonderful experience with hosts/"landlord's" as we had with Veron and Rob. From the arrangements before our travel, to a nice ride (with a Piton no less) from the airport to the villa, to the great tour Veron gave us the first morning of our stay, to the use of a car and local cell phone for the week, to the introductions to several great friends of theirs and even to being supplied with cheese balls in the villa when we returned one afternoon after a simple comment that we enjoyed such things, their hospitality was absolutely superb. We even were told of several great local food trucks, a beach barbeque place for Sunday chicken barbeque, the best seafood spot (Duke's) and, lest I forget, Irie Bar, when attending the Friday night Jump Up. These are places that we "might" have found during our time in St. Lucia but, thankfully, all the research was done and provided to us so that we could simply relax and enjoy our time. The home was great in every way that you would want for an island vacation and the accessibility to great beaches, restaurants, the casino and so many other island places was perfect. If there is one "must do" while at this property in this portion of St. Lucia is to hear Rob play at least once while there. It may not happen every week but we had the pleasure of ending our vacation by enjoying the sunset over the water in Rodney Bay on our last night, serenaded by the sweetest Saxophone one could ask for. In short, just do it. Reserve the place and enjoy.
I urge you to read my review on TripAdvisor as they allow for more space to write. I will quickly write a brief review on this site though as well. Villa Zatarra is just spectacular (look for that word in the title review on TripAdvisor). It is so much bigger than it appears in the photos. The attention to detail & the construction of the home is beautiful. It's stone & wood throughout make it just jaw dropping. The outside living room and perfect dipping pool make it hard to be inside. The upstairs balcony is a little piece of heaven on earth. Rob & Veron are a warm, amazing and stunning couple! And in case you don't read my TripAdvisor review, you must go see Rob play one night. He is incredible! This was my second trip to Saint Lucia, but my first stay at Villa Zatarra. I just returned home last night & I am already planning my next stay at Villa Zatarra. I am already running out of space so I encourage you to find my complete (and long) review on TA. This villa is NOT to be passed up! Safe Travels!
Villa Zatarra is the ultimate getaway! Rob and Veron were extremely helpful and welcoming! The property was clean, comfortable and in a very nice area. We felt secure and content in our own private villa for the week. Shopping and markets were close by as well as beaches and activities on land and sea. The driver for the villa, Stanis picked us up at the airport and was kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. We cannot wait to come back and visit the little piece of heaven as soon as possible!!!
I don't really even know where to start- everything about the process of this vacation at Villa Zatarra was as wonderful as it could get, from the ease of booking of the villa itself, to getting around the island, etc. Veron and Rob are such gracious hosts- Rob was waiting for us at the villa when we arrived via Stanis, the most excellent driving service around! Stanis stopped by the grocery store and the police station (to get a temporary driver's license) on our way in to make it super easy on us that first day. Rob personally showed us around the villa and how to work everything upon arrival, and the next day, took us on a little tour of all the spots/restaurants one would want to visit while in town. The pool was always the right temperature, and the weather just as perfect as you could get it! We cooked most meals at the villa, but upon recommendations of both Stanis and Rob, frequented a few of the local restaurants as well- all were just as good as they had said. Marie came daily to clean and was so sweet. Everyone on this island was very welcoming and kind. We decided to book a day tour with Stanis, which was absolutely the right decision. He took us to all the must sees around the island and we had an excellent lunch of local food- he took many a picture of us and we were grateful for that as well. He helped us fully experience life in St. Lucia! This villa was the perfect way to go- the vehicle for the guests' use was one of the best perks as we were able to go anywhere, whenever we wanted, which was crucial for us. The only regret is we weren't able to stay longer. We're already talking about going another time and taking our children the next time! Do yourself a favor and book now!
My husband and I stayed here for a week during our honeymoon. We started with three nights in a resort to relax after the wedding, but we knew we wanted to do something that felt a bit more local for the majority of our trip. This villa was a great choice! Like all of the other reviews state, Rob and Veron are wonderful hosts that wanted us to feel at home in their villa and on the island. We enjoyed quiet days at the villa relaxing by the pool and cooking meals in the well equipped kitchen and on the grill, as well as using the car to explore the nearby beaches, restaurants, etc. Don't miss the Friday night fish bbq around the corner from the street party in Gros Islet (Rob will tell you where)! Also, if you want a great tour from a local, you can rely on Stanis (the recommended driver) to show you around! Loved every minute of it, except the minute we had to leave.
Villa Zatarra is well located to take advantage of all the beautiful attractions the North of the island has to offer. A relaxing 10 min walk will bring you to an east coast beach, Cas en Bas. A vast stretch of beach great for collecting driftwood and watching the kite surfers or just having a late afternoon dip.
If Golf is your hobby, then the Cap Estate Golf and Country club is just minutes from the villa. All the best restaurants, bars and nightlife in Rodney Bay are between 5-10 minutes drive and other great beaches from Le Sport to Pigeon Point are all a nice 15 min stroll away.
Housekeeping is provided Monday to Friday and laundry service is available on request.
Brochures are available on other activities such as ATV tour, Rainforest zip lining, helicopter tours and many more
Other Activities: Shopping, kayaking, Boating, Parasailing, Sailing, Health Wellness/Beauty Spa
Golf: Private Golf Lessons can be arranged with the owner's brother, Chris Taylor, a professional golf coach, who regularly tours and coaches in the US.
