Overview

About the property

Cozy 1 BR, 1 bath studio apartment with full kitchen, sleeps 4

Cozy, peaceful, and private. This property, nestled in the woods by Long Pond, is nonetheless convenient to everything. It is less than 5 minutes from downtown Great Barrington and 10 minutes from Stockbridge, Butternut, and Catamount. The detached, second floor studio with maple floors and vaulted ceilings has been recently renovated, and is appointed with a mixture of antique and contemporary furnishings. Amenities include a full kitchen, full bath, laundry center, TV/cable/DVD, and high-speed Internet access. Outside deck with large enclosed yard, grill and outside furniture included with rental during the warmer months.

Additional 2 bedrooms, 1/2 bath available on main floor of guesthouse for an additional $150 per night. 3 night minimum stay. Please inquire.

Whether you decide on the extra space or not, be reassured that you will be the only renter in cottage during the rental period you choose. I do not rent to more than one party at the time. Additional space does allow for friends or family to join you and it is there as an option to expand on the rental space if you need it.

Great little getaway

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed for 3 nights with our 2 children and I agree with many of the reviewers. The studio was impeccably clean and well-stocked. Anni was a pleasure to deal with throughout the booking. The main house is close to the studio but we were left alone and it felt private. Our interaction with her during our stay was very pleasant. Location was close to town and skiing.

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in this adorable studio for a weekend away. We skied at Butternut, which is a quick 10 minute drive. The studio had everything we needed, bed was super comfy, and we cooked a great meal in the kitchenette. The owners clearly pay attention to detail and make their renters feel welcome and ensure they have everything they need. Can't say enough good things!

Very comfortable and enjoyable property

  • 5 of 5

This was our first experience renting a vacation spot through VRBO and we've been very satisfied. The description of the studio and location were accurate and the property and unit itself are clean and well maintained. Although small, the space is used well; plenty of storage and full of thoughtful amenities and supplies. Being used to timeshare rentals, we brought a few cooking and cleaning items with us, but we didn't use them as Anni supplied everything we needed. It was nice to not have to run to the store for sundries as soon as we unpacked. David and Anni were very responsive and immediately took care of a couple of things that needed attention, such as a burnt out light bulb. Our stay was quiet, peaceful, scenic, and thoroughly enjoyable. We're looking at returning next year and will recommend this studio to others. The location is close to many of the small towns throughout the Berkshires and there are numerous restaurants, shops, and historical attractions nearby.

Immaculate. Wonderful Stay!

  • 5 of 5

As a seasoned vacation renter, I come equipped with everything we might need during our stay. But at Anni's sweet Guesthouse, I didn't use any of it, everything was already there - salad spinner, olive oil, ziplocs, coffee, hair dryer, ETC. Tucked away on a pretty wooded road, the studio is immaculate and thoughtfully laid out to maximize the space; we were very comfortable during our 5 day stay. The deck is very pretty, the grill was great and the location provides easy access to all of our Berkshire/Hillsdale favorites - Guido's; Berkshire Mountain Bakery; Crossroads Food Shop; Home Sweet Home Doughnut Shoppe; Tanglewood. Anni was a delight and we look forward to returning soon!

Most comfortable stay!

  • 5 of 5

The studio was truly immaculate. The layout including tasteful furnishings, lighting, skylights, ample closet space, and heating made the place very pleasant and comfortable. The studio is perfect for a couple, even with a child. (We did not use the additional space on the ground floor, so no comments on that.) The kitchen had all the amenities for preparing simple meals. The less-than-full-size refrigerator was surprisingly efficient. Despite the fact that the guesthouse is located close to the owner's main house, there is no sense of invasion of privacy. The deck with the bbq grill and the fire pit on one side and the picture window (perfect for relaxation and reading) on the other side face wooded areas. Anni was friendly, quick to respond to a couple of small unexpected situations, and respectful regarding interactions between visitors and her dogs. She was also very efficient and responsive while setting up the reservation. The place is located within walking distance to a trail that leads to Long Pond and a few minutes drive to a farm and to downtown Great Barrington with its shops, restaurants, groceries, etc. Overall, this guesthouse is a great deal.
