Housatonic Studio Rental Photos and Description

Cozy 1 BR, 1 bath studio apartment with full kitchen, sleeps 4

Cozy, peaceful, and private. This property, nestled in the woods by Long Pond, is nonetheless convenient to everything. It is less than 5 minutes from downtown Great Barrington and 10 minutes from Stockbridge, Butternut, and Catamount. The detached, second floor studio with maple floors and vaulted ceilings has been recently renovated, and is appointed with a mixture of antique and contemporary furnishings. Amenities include a full kitchen, full bath, laundry center, TV/cable/DVD, and high-speed Internet access. Outside deck with large enclosed yard, grill and outside furniture included with rental during the warmer months.

Additional 2 bedrooms, 1/2 bath available on main floor of guesthouse for additional fee. Please inquire.

Whether you decide on the extra space or not, be reassured that you will be the only renter in cottage during the rental period you choose. I do not rent to more than one party at the time. Additional space does allow for friends or family to join you and it is there as an option to expand on the rental space if you need it.

Most comfortable stay!

  • 5 of 5

The studio was truly immaculate. The layout including tasteful furnishings, lighting, skylights, ample closet space, and heating made the place very pleasant and comfortable. The studio is perfect for a couple, even with a child. (We did not use the additional space on the ground floor, so no comments on that.) The kitchen had all the amenities for preparing simple meals. The less-than-full-size refrigerator was surprisingly efficient. Despite the fact that the guesthouse is located close to the owner's main house, there is no sense of invasion of privacy. The deck with the bbq grill and the fire pit on one side and the picture window (perfect for relaxation and reading) on the other side face wooded areas. Anni was friendly, quick to respond to a couple of small unexpected situations, and respectful regarding interactions between visitors and her dogs. She was also very efficient and responsive while setting up the reservation. The place is located within walking distance to a trail that leads to Long Pond and a few minutes drive to a farm and to downtown Great Barrington with its shops, restaurants, groceries, etc. Overall, this guesthouse is a great deal.

Great Visit to the Berkshires

  • 5 of 5

This was my first time using VRBO to stay domestically and it was fantastic. Our adorable cottage nestled in the woods of Great Barrington was perfect. It was well appointed, comfortable, and had everything you would need for a few days stay - generally just great energy in the space. There were only two of us using the space but there was more than enough room to accommodate a couple more. Being here during the amazing change in season was an added bonus but this would be a lovely place to stay anytime of year. In addition the owner was accommodating with our schedule and allowed us to check-in a few hours early. I highly recommend.

Beautiful, wonderful use of space, very welcoming

  • 5 of 5

Anni was so easy to work with! She was quick to reply to my inquiries, very accommodating (opened up extra space for our use), and has created such a warm, beautiful, space. The cabin is out of town, really quiet, and easily accessible to all the fun things available in Great Barrington and beyond. Highly recommend zip lining above the fall foliage!

Lovely accommodation, good location

  • 4 of 5

The studio was fully nicely appointed and fully equipped on the kitchen with all a guest could want. It's very quiet location was great and just minutes from Great Barrington's downtown. The comtemporary furnishings worked well with a few older pieces and the building itself. Communications with Mrs. Mintz was timely, thorough, but never intrusive. It is a place I will happily consider again for future short stays in the Berkshires.

Wonderful visit to the Berkshires

  • 5 of 5

Anni is the best! Prompt response with the reservations and the studio itself is lovely. It was the perfect place for my sister and me. We cooked our meals in the kitchen that had all the needed amenities. The bathroom was surprising spacious and overall we were very comforatble. I have visited the Berkshires many times and this has been the best location for me so far. Thank you.

Cozy Ski Studio

  • 4 of 5

My boyfriend and I stayed here for skiing at Catamount. It was nestled away and extremely cozy. It has a rustic feel yet modern. The large picture window allowed for a beautiful snowy view and the sky lights allowed natural light to fill the space. It was extremely clean and stocked for visitors. The decorations helped make us feel like we were at a family rental property which we greatly appreciated, Everything about this rental was easy! Anni had a nice binder for us with lots of info about the rental property and surrounding area. We thought it would be a little more spacious but it was just right for two! Worth the visit!
