It is designed to meet the needs of most travellers by providing excellent lodging, friendly service, and an enriching experience with long lasting wellness benefits.

Nestled in the forest on a 4-acre property, the 550 sq. ft. studio suite provides complete living accommodation, with a queen size bed and a sofa-bed that makes into a double bed. It has a fully equipped kitchen, wireless Internet and cable television and sleeps 4 persons. The Studio Suite has a deck with a propane BBQ and patio furniture. Our guests have privacy and the sense of freedom to enjoy the area in their own personal way.

The magnificent natural location provides an ideal setting for outdoor living whether you want to relax, meditate, paint, or just watch the changing moods and colors of the mountains and lake. A paradise for bird watchers and photographers, the area is rich in wildlife with osprey, eagles, a variety of waterfowl, woodpeckers and deer.

Serenity Views is located just 5 minutes from the Village of Nakusp with all amenities. From our property, take a beautiful 15 minute drive up a paved mountain highway to Nakusp Hot Springs or drive to Halycon Hot Springs, just 20 minutes away. Wherever you go, the scenery is magnificent and people are friendly.

In summer, enjoy wonderful hiking, boating, fishing, golf and swimming. The beautiful sandy public beach is only 5 minutes away. From here enjoy a stroll down the promenade along the lake, just a block from shopping and restaurants. There is also a public boat launch and docks if you bring your power boat.

Guests of Serenity Views can rent our canoe, single person kayaks or paddleboat to further enjoy the beautiful lake.

In the winter, enjoy snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country, downhill, and heli-skiing followed by a soak in the Hot Springs, or just come for the health benefits of enjoying the Hot Springs along with the peaceful and friendly atmosphere.

Fishing in the Arrow Lakes is great in all seasons - winter fishing is spectacular!

For the more active traveler, we encourage exploration of the many facilities and activities around Nakusp and the surrounding communities such as golfing, water sports, hiking, back country exploring, museums, historic sites and unique shopping and restaurants.

For those who wish a tranquil experience, Serenity Views offers secluded and quiet locations to relax, meditate, and find renewal. Enjoy the pleasant walks on private forested land or lakeshore, the beautiful scenery, fantastic views and nature in all its glory.

For the artisan we provide a quiet and serene environment. You are encouraged to use the property for inspiration with several areas designated for application of your work.

We also have a camping cabin on our property. If the Studio Suite is not available and you would like a 'rustic' holiday experience, please contact us for more details.

Our service is designed to provide more than lodging. It is a rejuvenating life experience.

Ideal home base for exploring Nakusp area

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at the Studio Suite for a couple of days while on a tour exploring Nakusp and the Kootenay area. The suite was very quiet, right on the lake shore, and a short drive to the town centre and Nakusp Hot Spring. Marylin and Brian had provided everything we might need; the suite is clean and comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped. There is even a slow cooker! I got fresh organic vegetables from the farm market, loaded them into the slow cooker and voila, there's a hot delicious meal ready when we came back from a day of exploring the area and soaking in the hot spring! Wish we could stay longer. Will definitely be back to Serenity Views Studio Suite.

Post-summer getaway

  • 5 of 5

My partner and I took a few days this September to get out of town and put our feet up for a couple days. Strangely enough we hardly put our feet up and the most of staying at Serenity views. It's an absolutely stunning spot only feet from a private beach and a short drive to anything else you might need. We were able to bring our dog which was a real bonus. And our hosts Marylin & Brian were both very friendly and easy going. They were both happy to offer any advice or answer any questions. I only wish we had more time to spend there.

Beautiful secluded suite with wonderful hosts.

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Serenity was the perfect location for peace and quiet to unwind. The suite was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed with great views of the lake. We loved the trails down to the private beach and relaxing in the lawn chairs. Close to Nakusp for supplies and a 20 min drive to the Hot Springs in Nakusp and Halcyon.

Marilyn and Brian are perfect hosts always helpful and keep the property as natural as possible.

Beautiful, clean and serene with very gracious hosts...

  • 5 of 5

This is one of the easiest reviews I have ever written. The location is ideal - you are within walking distance of private beach access and trails; and a very quick zip into town or to the Nakusp Hot Springs. I also drove to Halcyon during my stay, and it's not too far - only about 20 min.

Within minutes upon arriving, it is clear to see that the property is very well maintained, and that the owners have poured their heart and soul into creating this haven of serenity. I was immediately greeted by Marilyn's warm smile. Brian and Marilyn are very gracious and welcoming and will set you up/assist you in any way you need; but they balance well when it comes to providing their guests with privacy and space. The suite is basically the entire top floor of a carriage house that has Brian's pottery shop beneath it. I never heard a peep from beneath me during my entire stay. The balcony is secluded as it is perched on the back side of the suite away from the main house, away from the driveway, yet in perfect alignment for a beautiful view of the lake. The suite is immaculately maintained... being a bit of a clean freak, I really appreciated this! It has a beautifully finished bathroom and kitchen and has so many of the simple comforts of home: automatic night light in the washroom, detachable shower nozzle, clean and fresh towels, comfortable bed with crisp, fresh linens, the kitchen is outfitted with everything you could possibly need and I happen to know the BBQ is brand new and works like a charm! ;) There is no AC in the suite - and given I was staying during the summer I was a bit concerned. Rest assured - the suite stayed very cool all on it's own and there is a fan in the closet for good measure. Brian and Marilyn have thought of everything!

A huge thank you to Brian and Marilyn for welcoming me to their property. It was wonderful and I'll definitely return again!

To anyone considering this rental: You won't regret your choice and I think you would be very hard pressed to find another gem like this!!

Sincerely,

Brittany James
