This immaculate and stunning designer property aims to meet your needs for a delightful visit to Mill Valley. It has the feel of a city home, but with views of Mount Tamalpais and the valley. Hear coyotes in the distance and owls in the trees. This is an independent house, located on a beautiful walking street which loops to Cascade Falls and other beautiful trails. Enjoy the local beauty or take a quick 20 minute trip to San Francisco, Napa(30 minutes) or Muir Woods. The house is located just 10 minutes walking distance from the Mill Valley Square.
With a large deck just off the kitchen, you can enjoy outdoor dining in the beautiful Mill Valley climate nearly all year. The home is furnished with collected items and is perfect for small families or those visiting family in the area. A king bed in the master bedroom and two twins in the second can accommodate 4 people perfectly. The kitchen has all the amenities for an inspired meal. All linens and towels are top quality. Front loading washer and dryer.

Bettina Stiewe purchased this house in 2007
We live just down the street and originally purchased this property for family to be near us. We had many requests for this type of property and have made it available to others.
I have been meaning to write to you since staying in your wonderful home over the Christmas holiday. We had a great trip and really loved your home. The mountain setting was spectacular, and your home was very comfortable and charming. Thanks for allowing us to stay during the holiday. It made the entire vacation wonderful.
The house is a perfect hotel alternative for me as a business traveler. All the comforts of home are found here and the decks make the house's livable space much more generous that the square footage suggests. I enjoyed meals on the deck and the wonderful views across the valley. Access to the Mill Valley’s square is a nice walk or a very short drive. Each business day I drove to one of the two nearby ferry terminals, parked my car and commuted across the bay into SF. The short walk from the SF Ferry Building to the Financial District is a wonderful beginning or end to the workday and the ferry schedule offers convenient times throughout the am and pm rush hours. Mill Valley is full of tight, windy and hilly roads, so I rented a small car that made driving and parking more manageable. This house and town are each a wonderful place to stay and for many reasons.
Mixed feelings really. The appartnent is in a beautiful spot, nicely placed on a hill in the trees. Unfortunately when we were there the builders next door were really noisy so it was far from peaceful. Of course this wasn't the owners fault so they really couldn't help us. Wifi and sleeping arrangement were perfect, as was available amenities in the kitchen. Would have been nice for milk and coffee to be made available as well - we arrived having travelled 12-14 hours then had to go out again to shop!! Lots of nice eateries within a short drive. Personally I found it a little creepy at night - but that was just me, didn't bother the rest of my family - lots of creaks etc with it being a wooden cabin ! Overall I'd recommend X
Cozy house was great for our family of four. We stayed for two weeks and found it to be a great location in Mill Valley.
My grown son and I stayed here for 2 nights. Cute house, comfortable beds, very quiet neighborhood. Bit of a walk to the square but not difficult (though uphill on return). Fun to have breakfast there and people watch. Best to rent a small car as the road is very narrow and you have to park in the street (though we had no trouble finding nearby spaces) They provided fabulous linens and even toasty bathrobes. But, we were surprised that at this price there wasn't even a package of coffee available to make it in the morning (and maybe a pint of milk in the frig, and some fruit). Though only there 2 nights this would have made a nicer start to our mornings. There were other housekeeping issues as well (minimal tp and paper towels). I emailed Bettina and she was apologetic-she said she was out of town and the cleaner wasn't their regular one. She was nice to give us back half our cleaning fee. Also, we couldn't get Roku to pull up a Netflix movie no matter how we tried, so gave up. Something needs tweaking there. But overall, a nice stay. (keep your eyes open-lovely deer in the neighborhood)
Needed a place to stay for work. This property was perfect. Great Mill Valley location. Small but real comfy! Great deck to relax on after work. Hope it will be available again in the future. Thanks for the stay!
We really enjoyed our stay in Mill Valley. We were able to get to San Francisco for a Saturday morning event and over to Stinson Beach on Sunday for a friend's birthday party. We rented bikes in Sausalito (though there are other places to rent), dined in Mill Valley and Fairfax, and sipped coffee at Equator in Mill Valley. The house was a perfect size for a couple (we used the second bedroom with twin beds for our dressing room!), with a well-outfitted kitchen and comfortable bed.
This home is situated on the sunny side of the canyon, on a walking loop (Lovell Loop) which connects to waterfalls, trails and the Dipsea. About 10 minutes walk to downtown Mill Valley, a quick walk to playgrounds and the library.
