The 400 sq.ft. Deck is off the living room which increases the space for family gatherings or just relaxing on the bamboo bed and chaise lounges. It features 3 Bedrooms/2 Baths and full country kitchen. It has a partially covered lanai with mountain views. Perfect for relaxing outdoors.

New soft leather sofas and reclaimed wood tables upstairs. Two Bedrooms have queen size beds with colorful quilts and 1 bedroom has two twin beds.

My family and I stayed at the Kimo's House and it was awesome! The location is across from the beautiful beach and you actually walk thru a small park before getting to the beach. We had a large group with adults and babies, and the home was perfect! I totally recommend the house, especially for families traveling with kids and babies. We look forward to staying there again.

GREAT location!

This house is literally a 2 minute walk to the gorgeous Kailua beach and a 5-10 minute walk to essentially everything else in Kailua. Although this property has a downstairs unit and neighbors on all sides it still felt very private and relaxing. When we weren't exploring the island we spent most of our time on the huge partially covered deck. There were a total of 6 of us (myself, my husband & 4 kids {10,11,17,18}) staying in the unit and we had plenty of space and storage. The only negative I can think of is that the unit is a bit dated and the kitchen could benefit from an update but hey, I didn't come to Hawaii to stand in a kitchen all day so don't let that deter you! The unit has TONS of beach stuff, especially for the kids, beach towels and even an ice chest so all you have to do is bring your swimsuit and take that short 2 minute walk to paradise!

Our 7th Annual Visit to Plumeria Cottage

My husband and I love Kailua and this special upstairs duplex unit. It is a five minute walk to one of the most beautiful beaches and parks in the Hawaiian Islands. Furnished comfortably and everything kept in excellent condition. The upstairs deck looks towards the Koolau Mountains and on clear days you can see the Pali, a famous landmark. Kailua has many wonderful restaurants of all cultures and price ranges. Excellent grocery stores including Whole Foods and Farmer's Markets. Unit comfortably set up for a couple or a family of six. We had family visiting and lots of quiet space for everyone. Newest addition are handicap access bars in one of the bathrooms. This was especially essential for my husband who was recovering from a recent hospitalization. Zak, our rental agent, was always available with a smile and assistance. Our landlords, Jim and Marj, keep their units in tip top condition and are always making additions for tenants. We are booked for our family vacation next winter. Great rental unit!

A great find with everything you need to make the perfect holiday. The apartment was really well equipped and in a fantastic location - 3 minute walk to Kailua beach and within easy reach of shops. Parking available, especially useful during busy periods.

Great Family Holiday

Trying to organize a family holiday in Hawaii was a challenge with 6 adults with diverse interests. Plumeria Cottage in Kailua fit the bill perfectly and we could not have been more pleased. The location is perfect. Walking to fantastic beaches was easy, walking to town for a coffee and paper was very comfortable, easy hiking was accessible, and surfing for the adventurous in our group was excellent. The ambiance of a small town was very pleasant; we are not fans of crowded resorts. Plumeria cottage was the right size for our group - very clean and comfortable. The owners, Marj and Jim were excellent hosts, responsive to our needs and providing information about local resources.

They were gracious and helpful. Altogether it was a wonderful place for our holiday.

wonderful vacation

We stayed in the Plumeria Cottage and had a great time. We were 5 adults and there was plenty of room for all of us to feel at home and not feel crowded. It was right across the street from a lovely park that offered walking and a great beach front that was not overcrowded. The bodega was within walking distance and had all of the essentials we needed as well as great lunch sandwiches. I look forward to our next trip to Oahu and hope this cottage is available then. The owners provided a wonderful home away from home and contributed to one of my most memorable vacations thus far.

Plumeria Cottage is in a great location, and has everything you need for a perfect Hawaiian getaway

The property is equipped with everything you need, located in a great position and is affordable. Room to relax and enjoy your getaway. We loved having a grill and lanai to enjoy family dinners, air conditioning and comfy beds to ensure we slept well and we could walk out front to the beautiful beach, definitely a home we would come back to.
