Located in beautiful Scorton Shores private beach association, this house features new central air, 3 bedrooms; 1 queen master bedrm, 1 room with twins, 1 room with a twin, a full lower and twin bunk upper, 2 baths, outside enclosed shower with hot and cold water, large living room with big windows all around and sliders onto mahogany deck, huge kitchen with cathedral ceilings and skylight, large island with 4 swivel stools, window seat, hardwood floors, finished basement with private family room and futon, ping pong, washer, dryer, televisions, and DVDs in most rooms, wireless Internet. The yard is beautifully landscaped with sun and shade (great for toddlers). There's an outside, enclosed shower with hot and cold water, lawn and deck furniture, patio set with umbrella, located in private association Scorton Shores, beach is private, never crowded, approx. 2 minute drive to private parking lot, a 9-10 minute walk, gorgeous sunsets and sandbars at low tide. Great walking and running paths along Scorton Creek, around to ocean side. Fans, gas grill. Complete packet of information & booklets sent.

You can walk the beach for miles connected to Sandy Neck Beach, excellent location, great ocean fishing, making the area very adult and family oriented. Most houses are occupied by year round residents. No pets are allowed.

Cross over the Sagamore Bridge, stay on the beautiful bay side of the Cape, enjoy the relaxation that our lovely home, beach,and Rt 6A restaurants, and unique shops have to offer!

I own the house with my husband, Dave. I manage the house and help you plan your vacation by providing all the information you need in my packet that I send you along with booklets, etc. We bought our house because we have both loved the ocean since we were kids. We had vacationed at Cape Cod with our family and dreamed about owning a house on the Rt.6A side of the Cape (the bay side, less crowded, very quaint). That dream came true in April 1994 when we purchased our home in private Scorton Shores! Once we glanced at our beach with that blue/green color that we love, we knew that this was meant to be. Our next plan was to completely renovate and add on which we did winter/spring of 2005. We, and our repeat renters, couldn't be happier with the changes! Our yard is beautifully landscaped with sun and shade. We love to walk from the house to the beach then to the Scorton Creek path when we get the chance to stay. Our renters feel as though it's their house and we hope you do, too!

About Rhonda Manning

My husband, Dave, and I have both loved the ocean since we were kids. We had vacationed at Cape Cod for years with our family and dreamed about owning a house on the Rt.6A side of the Cape. That dream came true in April 1994 when we purchased our home in the private beach community of Scorton Shores! Once we glanced at our beach with the beautiful blue/green colors that we love, we knew that this was meant to be. Our next plan was to completely renovate and add on to our house which we did from late fall 2004 through June 2005. We, and our renters, couldn't be happier with the changes!! Our yard is beautifully landscaped and we love sitting in the sun/shady areas. We both love to walk from our house to the beach (9 minutes) and around to the Scorton Creek path and back to the house for our morning exercise. Dave is a runner and loves this run more than any other! You can walk the beach for miles!!! We also enjoy the privacy our beach has to offer. You need the beach pass to get onto the beach (copies in our house). Biking, fishing, shopping, exploring are what we love to do when we're at our house. Lots of bike trails not far away!! We have grown children and have 3 young grandchildren who absolutely love the house. People who have homes in Scorton Shores either live there year round or use their homes as their vacation home; not many rental properties here. Our neighbors are great! Peaceful, family area. We're not far from Hyannis where you can shop, eat, get the boats to Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard. We're also not far from The National Seashore where you'll see wild surf and hugh sand cliffs! Great house for 'girlfriend getaway weekends!' I've worked hard to make our home feel like 'your home.' It truly is our paradise!! Some of our renters have stayed at our house since 1994!!! They feel as though it's their own house and we hope you do, too!

Why Rhonda Manning chose Cape Cod

We chose this location because it's close to the Cape's Sagamore Bridge and the Cape Cod Canal which is great for fishing, riding bikes, jogging, walking! The Sandwich area is very historic and quaint. Lovely Rt.6A isn't crowded like so much of the Cape on the other side at Rt.28. There are many unique craft shops for miles along Rt.6A from our house. Our location is about one hour from our home which is great! It's also close to Logan Airport (about 1 and 1/2 hr away)

What makes this house unique

This property has a beautiful yard with lots of mature plantings and privacy. There's sun and shade. Very well manicured landscaping. House is located in a private community where most owners live there year round or use their house as a true second home so not many renters in the area. The house is fully equipped and the rooms, cathedral ceilings, colors are all very nice. There's something for everyone in this house. The beach is really great and the walk next to Scorton Creek around to the beach is wonderful. The beach is private so it's never crowded. This association is off of Rt.6A which is the more quaint, less crowded side of Cape Cod. The other side along Rt.28 is very commercial and there's a lot of traffic in the summer. This house is about 4-5 miles to historic Sandwich Center which is beautiful. There's lots to do there and I describe that all in my packet of information that I send out called Where to go and What to do. If you are a guest in the spring and fall, there's also a lot to do and this area is beautiful any time of the year. Sandwich does offer The Holly Days of Sandwich starting Thanksgiving weekend through New Year's. This is also a great time to stay at the house and join along in the many holiday activities that the town offers. Another benefit of this house and location is that it's close to the Sagamore Bridge only 3 exits away so you don't have to drive for miles to get to your Cape Cod destination.

Hello Rhonda, we wanna thank you and Dave for your warm hospitality and great customer service. Your house was so charming and welcoming when we first arrive. The listing description was accurate regarding the location, layout, amenities. We had a wonderful first impression and we all spent a magical family time. It was my wife's long time dream (since she was a child) to finally come to Cape Cod! You should read her comments on her Facebook page... This is definitely a first or a yearly tradition and long lasting memories that Marie wants to give our daughters. We also much appreciated the space, cleanliness and conveniences of your house and location. Great selection of seafood restaurants (we LOVE seafood) and lots of family-friendly activities in the area. We definitely recommend it to any families who want to spend some quality time in Cape Cod. Looking forward to dealing with you again in the future. Regards to your husband. Spacious and clean house.

My family enjoyed the spaciousness of the house and the comfort of a home feeling within. The walk to the beach was quick and easy. It was nice to have the convenience of the private beach but found the beach quite rocky.

Owner's Response: I'm so glad you found my house to be "a home away from home" which is my goal. It's great that our private beach is only a 9 minute walk and a 2 minute drive to our association private parking lot. Not many beaches on the Cape offer a private parking lot. So glad that worked out for you! The storms we had end of 2015 and in 2016 created lots of waves and higher than normal tides which brought up some small stones from the sea. The beach length is about 6 miles and there are many sandy spots especially when it's low tide.

Terrific Place! Highly Recommend!

This was our first experience renting at the Cape and it was wonderful! Rhonda is an extremely responsive and organized owner. From the beginning, she provided detailed information regarding the house amenities, suggestions on what to bring, and information on local attractions. She even mailed a packet of brochures. The house was clean and warm with everything a family could possibly need for a week's vacation. Kitchen was stocked with all the equipment needed and all the shelves were labeled so you know where everything is. The house is thoughtfully laid out and even had extra batteries, lightbulbs and night lights in case! The beds were comfortable and clean. The bathrooms were immaculate as well. We thoroughly enjoyed the backyard patio furniture, grill and outdoor shower. Having access to the association's private beach was awesome too! The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and house is pretty private. Having coffee on the deck in the morning was enjoyable too. Finally, the town of Sandwich had plenty to do and visit. If you are looking for a great vacation getaway, I would highly recommend this place and Rhonda is a great host!

Great Location, Clean, Comfortable!

Rhonda was very thorough prior to our visit by sending lots of information and making herself available to answer questions. She set up the house before we arrived as we visited in late spring and all the outdoor furniture had been put away for the winter. The entire property was lovely and very well kept. Outdoor space was on the small size, but was plenty for our purposes and we enjoyed the privacy that the trees and plants afforded us. Inside, the house was decorated with a beach-y theme and everything was scrupulously clean (this, above all, is important to me!). The kitchen was big with plenty of cooking tools and space for company for the cook. The family room had big, beautiful windows that I especially loved. We were fortunate enough to have great weather - not to hot, not too cool. We opened the windows and let the fresh air in!

Both my husband and I were super pleased with our choice and would opt to stay at Rhonda's place again without hesitation! Go! You'll love it.

Wonderful home away from home

Part of the reason my family enjoyed Cape Cod so much was because of our charming accommodations. Everything you needed to enjoy your stay was included in this lovely home, especially the beautiful backyard. The owner was wonderful at providing information about places to visit, the nearest grocery stores, great restaurants, and what to bring. We're planning on returning next year!

Our Scorton Shores Private Beach

The house is quite close to the Sagamore and Bourne Bridges. This is a great location because you can tour the Cape but also take a drive to Plymouth which also has so much to offer (good day trip). The house is off Rt.6 exit 3 Quaker Meeting House Road to lovely Rt.6A. This location is really great because it's not crowded like it is on Rt.28 (other side of the Cape). The scenery along Rt.6A is really nice. There are lots of shops, restaurants, beaches, playgrounds and town centers along Rt.6A. It's an excellent representation of what Cape Cod really looks like. The house is only about 4 miles from historic Sandwich Center which offers great shops, bakeries, cafes, take-out restaurants, regular restaurants, library, Dunbar Tea Room, Sandwich Glass Museum, Heritage Plantation. Cape Cod Canal and the marina is not far from here with bike trails, fishing, the fish market, and restaurants. Stop and Shop, stores, shops, post office, restaurants just around the corner from all of this.

Other Activities: Bike, Kayak, Boat Rentals very close to house. Take the bikes to the Cape Cod Canal and ride for 7 miles one way. There are many other bike trails on Cape Cod not far from the house. Kayak on Scorton Creek to the mouth of the ocean. Go to Sandwich Center and to the famous Boardwalk and jump off the Boardwalk at high tide or just go to watch. Book a fishing day on one of the many fishing boats in Barnstable or Hyannis. Water Wizz water park is a fun day out for both children and adults. Take a Cape Cod canal cruise. In Brewster, you will find the Bassett Wild Animal Farm; small but really nice. Don't forget to pack a lunch! You can also go horseback riding on the dunes in Truro and Provincetown. There's so much to do!!! I can help you plan your vacation if you'd like me to. One of my favorite trips is the seal watch boat trip at Monomoy Island (near Chatham); low tide best. You can 4 wheel drive on Sandy Neck Beach if you buy a non-resident pass and get the supplies required to do this.

Golf: There are so many beautiful golf courses on Cape Cod and not far from the house. Check these out by doing an internet search to see which ones you like the most.
