A dream country house with a beautiful view at the lake and the mountains

This country style house was built between 1992 and 1993 and has been decorated with southern European elements. It consists of two houses sharing one roof (the main house and the studio house), which are separated by a covered inner courtyard. The main house contains our garden apartment, which has its own entrance, patio (facing the garden) and biotope. Both house halves have large patios with direct access to the pool and the garden pond. Both of the houses' interiors are spaciously laid out, with open galleries, tiled stoves, large dining tables, integrated kitchens, a bar and a number of seating corners. The garden apartment is located on the ground floor. The sunny garden patio borders on the cosy living/dining room with its open kitchen/bar. The pool, with its jet stream facilities, the lawn, the barbecue and the seating area are available for common use. The sauna and the whirlpool area feature an open fireplace and may be reserved for personal use. Parking is available.

How do you find us?: Arriving from Germany: Munich – Salzburg, take the A1 towards Vienna, then the St. Georgen exit after about 50 km. Munich to Berg is about 193 km. Alt. route: Passau – Ried autobahn, then via Frankenburg – Vöcklamarkt to St.Georgen / Berg. Regensburg to Berg is about 200 km. Arriving from Switzerland: Zurich via Feldkirch, Arlberg, Innsbruck, Kufstein, Salzburg, St.Georgen / Berg. Zürich to Berg is about 520 km. Driving time is about six hours, all autobahn. Alternative: take the Innsbruck autobahn to the Wörgl-Ost exit, the highway via Lofer to Salzburg, then the Autobahn towards Linz / Vienna. After 50 km, take the St. Georgen / Berg exit. Distance about 510 km. Motorail train: travel comfortably to the Salzburg train station, take the autobahn towards Linz / Vienna, exit at St. Georgen / Berg. By train: long-distance train to Salzburg, then local train to Vöcklamarkt, then via the small-gauge railway to the St. Georgen station. Next airport: Salzburg 50 km, Munich: 190 km.

Location and region: Ther region of Attergau is nestled in amidst a grand landscape of rolling hills. From the little farming village of Berg, located on a knoll 150 m above Lake Atter, one has a fantastic panoramic view of the Alpine forelands to the north. To the south there is a beautiful, almost kitschy view of the lake and the mountains. Lakeview Country House is a perfect place to relax. Surrounded by fields of flowers, fully detached and quiet, it includes a private drive. Excellent restaurants, cafes, pubs, wine bars, rustic mountain eateries, nearby bars and discos all help to provide for your physical well-being. In the pretty tourist town of St. Georgen (5,000 residents), just 1 km away, you'll find shopping, post office, bank and doctors. The main town of Vöcklabruck (pop. 12,000) has a medieval center and a large market Wednesdays and Saturdays. It is located 20 km away. One can enjoy a bit of city life in Salzburg (50 km), Wels (40 km), Linz (70 km), Munich (193 km) and Vienna (200 km).

Outings: Hiking, cycling, boat trips, mountain railways, museum visits, regional festivals, many cultural events and mine tours make for sheer endless possibilities. As a starting point, Berg is ideally located. UNESCO has declared Salzkammergut's wonderful landscape a world cultural heritage site. It includes 76 lakes, mountains (up to 3,000 m high), gentle hills and valleys, alpine meadows and unique villages. Famous towns and cities, such as Salzburg, St. Wolfgang, Gmunden, Hallstatt and Bad Ischl are all located within a radius of 50 km. They still exude the enchanted atmosphere of the Austrian K&K Empire. Whether appreciating nature, taking up sports, or enjoying culture, everything is available in abundance. And all of this can be enjoyed with the legendary Austrian charm and hospitality.

From the inner courtyard, one enters the main house (up to 12 people) through an entranceway with a southern, Tuscan-inspired flair. You'll feel right at home in this warm atmosphere, which has been decorated with many artistic details. The builder has made all of his residential dreams come true within 230 m2 of living space. Starting at the kitchen, which leaves nothing to be desired, one comes to the large dining table (seats 12 people) in the cozy living room. From here, one can access the patio with its seating area and its abundance of flowers and palms. A view of the lake and the mountains accompanies you down to the pool, the garden and the lawn. Skirting the tiled stove in the living room, one arrives at the living gallery with its comfy sofa, television and library, then 2 bedrooms with balcony, kid's room and 2 bathrooms / WC. A spiral stairway takes you to the 2nd gallery with a sofa and bedroom. The 1st floor has a hallway leading to 2 bedrooms with bathroom / WC.

Diese Ferienwohnung ist nur zu empfehlen! Die Lage ist ideal, die Wohnung ist liebevoll eingerichtet, es ist alles da, es fehlt an nichts. Die Vermieter sehr, sehr freundlich. Einfach perfekt für einen erholsamen Urlaub. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt !!!

Ziemlich abseits

Im Winter definitiv nicht zu empfehlen. Zu weit weg von Allem. Spießige Inneneinrichtung mit viel zu vielen künstlichen Pflanzen und Zierrat. Warmwasserversorgung nicht ausreichend für so viele Personen. Zum Einkaufen immer mit dem Auto über nicht immer freie Straßen. Küche sehr gut ausgestattet. Renovierungsstau besonders im oberen Bad. Toller Blick auf den Attersee, der im Winter allerdings keinerlei Attraktion bietet - anders als Wolfgang oder Mondsee.

Für eine Gruppe für wenige Tage - für familein zu abgelegen und ohne irgendwelche Attraktonen in der unmittelbaren Nähe. Sehr diffiziele Mülltrennung. Sehr bemühter Vermieter, der mit im Objekt wohnt.

Wir waren mit 5 Personen im Haupthaus vom 24.07.-31.07 untergebracht. Hier ist wirklich absolut alles vorhanden vom Kugelgrill über Weingläser, Küchengeräte und dies in sehr sauberem Zustand.. Topp Lage mit Seeblick. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Habe mich wie zuhause gefühlt.

Lakeview Country House is fully detached and surrounded by fields. Located at the edge of a small village situated at the top of the town of Berg, it has a fantastic view of Lake Atter and the mountains. Berg is located 150 m above Lake Atter where the Salzkammergut begins. It enjoys a reputation as a classic summer resort. It has uncountable mountains and 76 lakes. Imbedded amidst a lovely landscape, the area was made for relaxation and rejuvenation. Art and culture is also available.

Golf: Information for Golfers: there are 6 spectacular golf courses in the immediate vicinity. (1) Weyregg golf school (for beginners), driving range, 3-hole, par 3 spa course. Instruction by a professional (14 km). (2) Salzkammergut golf course, Bad Ischl, 18 holes, par 71, golf schools. A course for kings, for 70 years (45 km away). (3) Mondsee, St.Lorenz, 18 holes, Par 72. The course with the most beautiful view (28 km). (4) Salzburg golf course Fuschl, 9 holes, par 62. The course with the romance of Fuschl palace (38 km). (5) Drachenwand, St. Lorenz, 9 holes, Par 68. The expert course (30 km away). (6) Gut Altentann course by Lake Waller, 18 holes, Par 72. Designed by the American golf legend, Jack Nicklaus. For professionals and those aspiring to professionalism. There are a dozen additional golf courses in the region.

Ski: Winter sports: we're not right in the center of the ski resorts, but family ski hills are nearby and the Salzburg region's large resorts are close. Ski runs, cross-country ski trails, tobogganing runs and skating rinks are all found within 2 to 15 km in St. Georgen, Nussdorf, Steinbach, and Weyregg. It's all available around Lake Atter. Located nearby: Feuerkogel by Lake Trauns, Kasberg near Gmunden, Postalm and Zwölferhorn by Lake Wolfgang, etc. The large ski resorts are between 50 and 100 km away, many can be reached by autobahn. Tauplitz-Alm by Bad Mitterndorf, Dachstein glacier with winter and summer skiing and the Amadè sports world, home of the ski star Hermann Meier. For winter hiking, we recommend the Post-Alm by Lake Wolfgang, with its splendid alpine panorama and its many rustic farmhouses. Finally, we recommend enjoying a 'Salzburger Nockerl' in the Weißen Rössl in St.Wolfgang, or paying a visit to the Zauner confectionary, empress Elizabeth's favorite cafe in Bad Ischl.

The extensive kitchen facilities include a mixer, an electric kettle, an espresso machine, fondue and raclette items, outdoor electric and coal barbecues, etc. The enclosed sauna and whirlpool area includes an open fireplace. It can be reserved individually at any time. The outdoor pool is 7 x 4 x 1.6 m in size and includes a current. Day of arrival and departure is Saturday, from 4:00 PM onwards (high season). Individual dates and long weekends are also possible during the low season. The entire Lakeview Country House may also be booked for family celebrations (birthdays, weddings etc.), seminars and special business occasions. Three-day minimum rental for 22 to 24 people. There are sufficient tables and benches available in the covered inner courtyard/ winter garden. Table linens, bedding, bathroom towels, bathrobes, hair dryer, etc. are all included.
