Beautiful lake front property.

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful lake front property. We loved our stay at the lake. The only two things that were not up to par there were, The beds were very very hard. Had a backache every morning. Not enough linens were supplied.

Owner's Response: Hi Theresa - I am not sure why you felt the Beds were very hard. I have never had a renter complain about the beds being very hard. I have stayed there multiple times and it is one of the higher end Mattresses and box spring available from the furniture store. I am planning to visit in August myself so I will look into it and discuss with the team. I am glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you will stay with us in the future. Thank you. All the best! Richie

Good location

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin! The dock on the lake was great and my son really enjoyed swimming, even though the water was still cold. The cabin was very nice and the owner was very responsive when we had a small problem with the wifi. The neighbors were very friendly, and it was only about 30 min from Boone and Blowing Rock. We sat on the back deck and watched the sun set, listened to the bells of a nearby church ring, and watched lightening bugs. It was wonderful! The beds were a little hard for my taste but we still slept well.

Very Quiet, Serene Area With a Beautiful Cabin and View of the Lake

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day get-a-way. We loved the open and spacious feeling in the cabin. The highlight was sitting on the balcony outside the living area watching the boats on the lake. We brought our own folding chairs. It would be nice to have some comfy cushions that could be stored inside in bad weather and more seating on the balconies. Waking up in the morning looking out on the lake and listening to the birds was heavenly! The double reclining loveseat was a comfortable treat. Would definitely return at some point and recommend to others!

Very nice cabin

  • 5 of 5

We rented this cabin for almost 3 months as we are a out of state contractor building a local store there and the Owner of the cabin worked with us and was great and very accommodating. We would have our guys stay there again in a heart beat. It was a great home away from home for our employees.

Amazing Family Getawat

  • 5 of 5

Place is truly amazing. Access to a private floating dock on the lake. House is immaculate and spacious. Minutes away from shops. About an hour away from sites such as Mystery Hills, Grandfather Mountain, Boone, The Blowing Rock.

The house has spectacular breathtaking views. The moment you step foot in the house, you are immediately in awe of the view, high ceilings etc. The home is a modern log cabin, very cozy.

Great Place - awesome time by all kids and adults

  • 5 of 5

Where to start? You drive up to the driveway, and you are greeted by an awesome log home with a picturesque mountain view for a backdrop framing a huge lake with a floating dock. Reminded me of a postcard. The rear decks provide a 180 degree vista of the same breath taking view. The house itself is spacious and furnished very well. There was 7 of us, 3 Children (5/7/8 yr old) and 4 adults including my 76 year old mom, and we were all very comfortable.

The city of Wilkesboro is fantastic. Everyone we've met are super friendly and nice. I warn you now, if you are not used to it you'll think they are aliens...;). The property has very easy access to the main roads and is less than an hour away from Boone and Winston-Salem for those looking for a bigger city to hang out in.

My family and I absolutely loved the lake especially with the easy access from the house. If you like Mexican food El Monte Delrey is a must visit. Brushy Mountain Smokehouse and Creamery has good barbeque and fantastic homemade ice cream. Dodge City Steakhouse wasn't bad. All in Wilkesboro. If visiting Boone, I highly recommend eating at Mellow Mushroom and the Daniel Boone Inn Restaurant.

Grandfather mountain (Linville) and Linville Falls (easy access from the Blue Ridge Parkway) are a must visit . So is The Blowing Rock in Blowing Rock. Mystery Hill also in Blowing Rock was great for children and adults. If being high up is more your thing, drive down the road to High Gravity (has a kids course) and Tweetsies Rock Dimensions in Boone is also worth visiting.

If you're a cyclist, MTB or skinny tires you will love this place. You can spend an entire month and not get tired of the trails and pavement. There's a bike shop nearby. If you're a hiker, you'll never run out of trails. Did not get a chance to visit the education forest off 421 south.. If the water is more your thing, you can visit the Wilkes Skyline Marina (ask for Jeremy) and check their boat rentals or drive down 268 for about 5 minutes and speak to John Johnson for Kayak, SUP, river tubs and boat rentals as well. They will deliver to the dock - so no trailer needed. Stop by W. Kerr Scott Dam info center (education center downstairs) and speak to extremely helpful people there.

At the end of the day, you can wind down by sitting at one of the deck or the back porch and enjoy the view and a glass of wine from one of the wineries. We went to Raffaldini in Ronda (exit 267 421 North).

Can't wait to come back!!!
