This house is located just south of Oro Valley near the intersection of La Canada and Magee. The guest house shares a one acre parcel with a main house (owner occupied)but is fully seperated and private. The house is equipped with new furnishings selected by a professional decorator. Fully renovated in 2009 with attention to detail. We believe that while someone is in this home they will fully feel the peace and beauty of the surroundings and be blessed by their visit. The outside is beautifully lit most evenings with colorful landscaping all around. The front patio is furnished with a fountain that adds to the outdoor experience. This house is over 100 feet from the front house and is separated in everyway. Fully private.
Under roof is 1000 square feet with a large front patio. The house is very spacious with room to stretch out and enjoy. The family room has plenty of seating with a shared dining table near the kitchen dividing wall. It really is difficult to explain how cozy this house is but you will not be disappointed.
The ramada/pool area is very unique with a portion of the pool shaded under the ramada allowing for swimming without being in the sun. Additionally, the ramada is equiped with an outdoor kitchen, gas grill and bathroom. Renters will have full access to all features of the pool area. The pool is not heated.

My wife and I have lived in Tucson for most of our lives. For us, there is no better place on earth than Tucson with such wonderful weather and sunsets. Our home is our refuge and we have spent many years creating a place of peacefulness and rest. We enjoy our family and find enjoyment in those we meet along the way. The Northwest side of Tucson is rapidly growing with everything you can imagine in close proximity. This house is within 1 mile of the Foothills Mall with multiple restaurants in all directions. The location is central to Northwest Tucson and is easily located. The house is surrounded by beauty in all directions. To the west are the sunsets and to the East is Pusch Ridge and the Catalina mountains. The front patio(300 sq ft) is elevated so the view is spectacular during certain times of the year. We love the fruit trees and the Bougainvilleas that surround most of the back yard and they create an enjoyable relaxing view.
THIS HOUSE IS A MUST SEE. This beautiful guest house was originally designed as a two bedroom house. The second bedroom has been converted into a spacious laundry room with a washer and dryer. The washer and dryer room could be equipped with an additional sleeper if needed with a second 1/2 bathroom already existing. It is fully loaded with every feature needed to enjoy daily life. It was recently renovated and is in perfect condition. The house is air conditioned and well insulated to keep out the hotter temperatures during the summer months. What makes this property so unique is it is fully furnished and ready to go for everyday life. Furnished from top to bottom with a large screen TV in the family room and an additional TV in the bedroom. A full kitchen and coffee nook. The property was designed for the possibility of elderly or handicap individuals using it so the front entrance has double doors. The large bathroom is equipped with an open shower stall for easy access.
I stayed at this charming guest house for 2 weeks while having medical appointments in the Tucson area. The cottage is so cozy and tastefully decorated, just like the pictures. The bathroom is spa like and the bedroom lovely. The laundry room and extra bath really come in handy. The citrus trees on the property lend to the beauty of the whole stay. You will really feel like you are at a private resort when you book and stay at this property. The owners are wonderful. I just wish I had spent more time there.
It was the perfect location for us. We come down every February to attend the Gem Fair. We stayed 6 days and loved the location. Beautiful views, nice swimming pool and outdoor kitchen, close to Trader Joe's, Gourmet Girls Gluten Free Restaurant, Sprouts, and Whole Foods Market. John and Lisa respected our privacy but let us know if we needed anything we just had to ask. We would love to come back if it's available again next year and yes we would recommend to our friends.
This home was fantastic for our needs and very comfortable. It is quite large and has a spacious bedroom area with a good size closet. It was central to all of the things we wanted to do while we were in Tucson; grocery shopping and restaurants. The kitchen is a little small but it had everything we needed during our stay plus there was a fantastic barbecue outdoors undercover and right next to the beautiful pool. John and Lisa were very helpful but totally respected our privacy. Nothing could have been done to make our stay any better. It was all perfect!
My husband and I stayed for five days over Thanksgiving. The rental is easy to get to, with great shopping, restaurants and golf close by. Downtown and the university are an easy drive. We loved how spacious the accommodations were. (Our nephew and his fiance joined us for much football watching and we all had plenty of room to spread out!) The bed (and luxury bedding) are super comfy. The kitchen is a tad small but has a full-size fridge and stove/oven. Meals are easy to prepare. But with Trader Joe's and AJ's so close, it's easy to pick up pre-made meals if you don't feel like cooking. We can't wait to return in warmer weather so we can enjoy the pool area -- which is fantastic. We've stayed in more expensive (and smaller) VRBOs in Tucson and never had such a wonderful experience. My wife and I just concluded a three day stay at this wonderful guest house. The owners were very accommodating in answering questions and helping us to make our decision to stay here while in Tucson for a weekend wedding.
Access to I-10 and the location of the property for our needs was very helpful for the weekend stay. We appreciated the convenience of gaining access to the house in conjunction with our arrival and departure schedules since we were arriving early in the day and had a late flight out of Phoenix on Monday.
The accommodations were EXCELLENT and this property was well worth it. Clean, comfortable, convenient and private. If that is what you are looking for, this is the property for you. It was like having your own, stand alone house. You cannot ask for a better place to stay, especially if you are looking a place to kick back and relax. Though we did not take advantage of the pool, it looks like another plus to the property.
This is definitely going to our place of choice on our return trips to Tucson in the future.
A last-minute change of plans led us on a hunt for a condo in Tucson for 9 days. We were very happy to find John and Lisa's guest house, at the back of their large property, north of the bustle of the city center.
We spent our time enjoying the many activities Tucson offers, and always felt welcomed back to the guest house.
Everything was as advertised in the writeup, and we used most of the amenities, including the barbecue by the pool. The kitchen is a bit small if you want to do a lot of cooking, which we did; that is the reason for the 4-star rating (we would have given 4.5 stars if that option were available).
We will certainly keep this location in mind for future trips to Tucson.

A refundable deposit of $100 should be sent in with a signed contract ( a personal check or cashiers check is fine). The payment for the stay is due upon arrival (cash, personal check, or cashiers check). We do not take credit cards because the expense would be passed on to the customer and we do not want to increase the cost for our guest.
