What a great trip! Berkshire Hathaway made it so simple to rent from & find the condo. It was absolutely the best location for skiing, walking right out of the condo and you are steps away from the lift & gondala. The condo was in excellent condition and fantastic views from every angle of our corner condo. Lionshead Center had great places to eat and shop. But if you wanted to go to the village, you were steps away from the bus stop. Fantastic!

Amazing summer vacation

We had an amazing week in Vail. This property was located at the base of the chairlift in the heart of Lionshead Village. Couldn't have asked for a better location. We hiked and biked right out the back door and were able to rent bikes from Double Diamond in the building. It looks like the unit was recently remodeled. The beds were super comfy and the living room was large enough for 4 to hang out at night. There is a huge flat screen TV in the living room. It was great having an assigned parking spot. We had a problem with the garbage disposal and Berkshire Hathaway took care of it within a few hours. We hope to make it back again next summer.

Beautful getaway

This was one of the nicest properties we have been to in Vail. The place was attractively decorated and had a well-equipped kitchen which is not often the case with many other VRBOs. The location was ideal as the unit was steps away from the gondola and overlooked the creek path. Another plus was the the gas barbecue grill on the patio. Although small in square footage, it is perfect for a small family, especially since one bedroom is equipped with 4 bunk beds. We will choose to stay in this particular unit again in the future!

Property is in POOR CONDITION, DIRTY

The property is located in an excellent location, but that is where the praise stops. The room, while well appointed, was dirty from the carpet to the windows to the bedding. There were stains on the bedspreads and the extra blankets were not laundered. Yes, the sheets were clean.

The pool area had not been cleaned in a while as the tables and chairs were covered with layers of dirt and dust. Never once were they cleaned during our stay from July 29 to August 3, 2016. When we cleaned the lounge chairs with wet towels, they turned filthy black. The deck area is cracked and posed an unsightly trip hazard.

The hallways were musty and dreary.

There was NEVER a person on duty to voice our concerns to and you only receive a recording when calling the phone number provided for the property.

Lovely location, terribly managed property.

Owner's Response: We were disappointed and a bit surprised to read your review of this property. Most guests really enjoy this property. We do realize that the building itself and the pool area is a bit older. The common areas of the building have all been redone as has the interior of the property. We will have housekeeping go over everything thoroughly to make sure it is 100% clean.

Great Lionshead Condo

The unit was as advertised---very spacious, clean and well appointed. Views to the Born Free slope out one window and into Lionshead out another window. Parking was convenient underneath. The 2 Lionshead lifts were steps away from the ski locker by the garage. Shops and restaurants (Bart & Yeti's and Garfinkel's our favorite) are right there. Would recommend to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable stay in Lionshead.

Awesome Condo

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this condo. This was our first ski trip with our kids (ages 4 & 6) and we were looking for something in close proximity to ski school. Short of camping in a tent at the base of the gondola, we couldn't have been any closer. The condo building is pretty dated but this particular condo has been updated some, it was well laid out, with a well stocked kitchen and the funishings were comfortable and nice. There were lots of shelves, drawers & hooks all over the place to hang all of our coats and gear. The space was very well thought out.

One of the aspects of the condo that we enjoyed the most were the windows around three sides of the living room. This really opened up the space and made for a pretty view. We've already started talking about our next trip and we hope to rent this same condo again.

Awesome location but service needs improvement

Nice unit, small but functional, worked fine for our family of four(our kids are age 10 and 6), panoramic 270 degree view from living area transitions from village to mountains, beautiful floors, updated kitchen. Location is beyond great - 50 paces to the lifts and kids ski school! Would be nice if bathroom sinks were bigger and faucets closer to sinks - as it is water is barely contained in the sinks - sprays and splashes all over the counters even if you just wash hands very carefully, makes all counters wet and looks messy. Also, cleaning service leaves much to be desired - the crew came mid-week around 9 am, we were still in the unit (kids ski school starts at 9:30), so we mentioned that we need towels changed and asked them to come and clean after 9:30. They immediately brought change of towels and took trash out. As to coming back, they never did - no vacuuming, didn't change kitchen towels - I had to wash them myself, didn't do dishes, I had them in dishwasher already, all they had to do is press the button to run it, beds not changed nor made, no dusting done! The contract states 'mid-week cleaning included' - I wouldn't call changing towels upon request and taking out trash ' mid-week cleaning'. Also, very hard to reach admin/customer service if you have any problems or requests - never get live help right away, call always goes to voice mail and then you have to wait and hope they call you back - quite annoying.
