About LeeLee Goodson
My husband and I spent our childhoods in Stowe, and after leaving for school(s) and subsequent travel, we each decided to return, where we 're-met,' married, and have happily raised our children.
LeeLee Goodson purchased this Cabin in 1984
Why LeeLee Goodson chose Stowe
This was where we raised our two young children and only left because we purchased a nearby farm to begin our veterinary practice; but we couldn't bear to sell the cabin -- which is why we now rent it.

Simply LOVED it!!!❤️
My husband and I rented LeeLee’s cabin for five days. The minute we walked we immediately felt relaxed in this wonderful cabin. Leelee was kind enough to leave snacks and even a bottle of wine!!! Each room has unique pieces of furniture and decor. This cabin is VERY clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with all your cooking needs. We love to eat in so I was able to easily cook up our meals each day.
The location is convenient to everything. It’s only about 5 minutes from the nearest grocery store and not even 10 minutes from the center of Stowe. Lots of shops and places to eat in Stowe or you can travel a little further south down 100 to Waterbury with more options.
We had a wonderful stay and hope to return in the Summer months! Oh almost forgot...the Hot Tub was AWESOME especially after a long day of snow shoeing!!
Our little family had a wonderful stay at Thornapple cabin. Everything was as we expected and everything we would need was provided. We decided to book the cabin after a rave review from a friend of ours and I can say it did not disappoint; it was quiet and relaxing. We would definitely come back!
Thornapple is the best of both worlds.
Located on a completely private property and yet 5 minutes from the quaint town of Stowe. We loved the convenient fireplace that starts with the flick of a switch, and the hot tub that is a few steps from the front door to the tub. We were there in February, so loved the snow and cold weather. However, a visit to Thornapple would be a treat any time of the year. We made lots of happy memories. Lee Lee, the owner is always available to answer questions. She was very helpful!
Great cabin on a quiet dead end street close to Stowe Village and other ski resorts
My husband, dog and I just returned from a short 2 night stay at Thornapple Cottage. The snow arrived just as we did and it snowed 16 inches while we were there! What a great cabin! The gas fireplace is a huge plus and the hosts provide all you could need for a home away from home. It was clean and everything was labeled to help us get used to the various lights and how to use the fireplace. If it is winter when you visit, we were able to snowshoe around the property (5 acres) and it is so beautiful here. Highly recommended.
A perfect weekend getaway
This lovely cabin has everything we needed to relax and unwind, while still having a rustic mountain feel. We spent almost the entire time relaxing in front of the cozy fireplace and enjoying the hot tub. The bed made for a great sleep and we leave here feeling rested and refreshed. Can’t wait to come back.
It was a very nice cabin and Stowe was pretty.
