This property has a protected private boat dock and has a swimming area and swim dock for the summer fun. For the winter there is skiing with-in 15 minutes and there is direct access to the snowmobile trails. With three full baths this house makes it easy to get the family ready for what ever activities you have planned.
There is a 75 acre wild life preserve, Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust, with a hiking trail just outside the door. This is your view from the house and deck. You get to watch nature not other houses.
Russell Cove is located just off of City Cove which is the center of Rangeley and is a great in town location. Town is just a walk a way but it does not feel like it when your on the deck. This property is very kid friendly it has a common area with a fire pit and an area for kids to play or to just relax.
Our extended family of 9 stayed here for the week. The house was plenty big and everyone had a bed which were very comfortable. The house is located in an association and the house are very close which concerned us at first but after staying a week there was little no noise from the neighbors. The common area had a fire pit/grill and a beautiful big lawn with gazebo. We did not use this as the house had a grill and a fire pit of our own which was required for this group. We launched out kayaks right at the dock and used them every day, all day. There are about 40 steps from the lower level of the house to the dock so plan ahead. The house was equippted with every thing, even the Wifi worked all the time. We met the Management Staff when we got there and they were very nice. They even came back after a few days with some extra towels they forgot. Our group ranged from 6years old to 73 and Rangeley had something for everyone. We love the hiking, swimming and of course the bowling at Moose Alley, which you can walk to in 5 min. The convience store is literally a 2 min walk away. The only bummer is because it is in the Cove there isn't deep water at the dock for the kids to dive off from. They can swim out to the Association dock and jump off whcih is only a 2 minute walk away. One cool thing I liked was watching the Sea Planes land almost above our heads on the deck of the house. We hope to go back to Rangeley next year and would recommend Russell Cove.
Beautiful home on legendary Rangeley Lake, waterfront on a quiet cove, as described. Feels remote and secluded, yet just a walk to local shops. Very clean and well maintained. We have rented other homes on other lakes; this is our best experience yet. We hope to be back next year.
An absolutely beautiful home with ample space for a large group. Fantastic kitchen, lovely little deck. Nice walk to Pine Tree Frosty for a nightly ice cream cone. The owner is wonderful and we had a great time.
Other Activities: kayaking, snowboarding, wildlife viewing, snowmobiling, boating
