For a soothing night’s sleep, the beds are the greatest and there are blackout curtains so that early morning sun doesn’t protrude. Casa Simpatica enjoys, a large living room with comfortable seating and flat screen TV that invites afternoon of sports and movies. The totally equipped kitchen includes a host of appliances that any chef would appreciate when serving dinner for six. Welcome your morning with a Keurig-brewed cup of coffee in the garden while viewing the quiet pace of the neighborhood from a sheltered perspective. This prime address in the heart of the historic district holds the key location for easy walking just 2 blocks to the Plaza and 2 blocks the other direction to Canyon Road.

TRUTH BE TOLD. “I can only echo the great reviews posted here. Casa Simpatica has an aesthetic of charm, ease, and light. The art is beautiful, playful, and well chosen. The courtyard offers privacy with a sense of space and calm, yet you can walk over to the Plaza or be on Canyon Road in just a couple of minutes. Our family of five, parents from Boston and three adults in their twenties from East Coast, West Coast, and Texas, has been coming to New Mexico for vacation and work at Ghost Ranch since 1992 and love to see our local friends. The house is great for entertaining. We hosted games and lunches and served a casual buffet before heading up to Canyon Road on Christmas Eve. The kitchen is fabulous, stocked with equipment and well designed. Sleeping was excellent, great mattresses. We had one on the sofa bed---he was quite comfortable. We loved the gas fireplace and the warmth during the snowy week. So nice to have a parking space!

I will treasure the memory of Casa Simpatica, a place to feel at home, if home were only so uncluttered and situated in the heart of the Land of Enchantment. Caroline is a wonderful host. The basket that greeted us delighted all week. A beautiful poinsettia and orchid arrangement provided a focus for our holiday celebration.

Notes:
Just two blocks in any direction and you can join the fun of shopping, great restaurants and culture at the Plaza or Canyon Road! The whole town is your back yard so walking everywhere is excellent. There is hiking close by, rent a bike to tour town, spas one block away and luxury exercise facilities are at the end of the block. The main house, Casa Simpatica, is joined by the back garden to the casita, Casa Perla. They can be rented separately with the garden gates locked for privacy or they can be rented together, VRBO #276464, sleeping 10. 2 generous parking spaces, lots of garden space and a good time!

Lovely home with a perfect location!

We had 4 adults in our party and all of us absolutely adored staying in this lovely home. Caroline greeted us on our arrival and then came back to say good bye. She also welcomed us with a gift basket which was such a nice gesture after a long day of travels. She made everything about our reservation super easy. This house is nicely decorated, is in perfect condition and is within close walking distance to the Square. We all had a great time and enjoyed coming back in the evenings to such a comfortable cozy home. We will reserve again when we return to the area.

Perfect spot near the Plaza

Beautiful home within walking distance of lots of shopping, great food, and Mass at the historic Cathedral. We have four kids, and this home had plenty of room and was fully equipped with all of life's everyday necessities. Also, can't beat the personal attention provided by Caroline and her staff.

I hardly knew they were there except for the great reports of sledding, skiing and going to Meow Wolf.....every child's idea of a good time. We love making sure every detail is attended to and giving our guests the best vacation ever!

The home is in perfect condition. Clean, well maintained and beautiful. Outstanding location!

A small place on Palace Avenue

We have stayed here several years. It is spacious, immaculate, beautifully decorated with paintings by well-known Southwest artists, with comfortable beds, central air, and room-darkening drapes in the bedrooms. In August it was cool, quiet, and safe enough to sleep with the bedroom windows open at night. The bathrooms are recently remodeled with rain showers and heated floors. The washer and dryer are new.'

The kitchen is well-supplied with cooking utensils; we ate breakfast, and frequently lunch and dinner at the house. The dining room seats six comfortably; the house is surrounded by gardens and there are tables in both the front and rear garden. There is private off-street parking.

All of this only two blocks from the plaza, one block from the river park, and two blocks from Canyon Road with its dozens of galleries. On the opposite side of the block is a pick up spot for the opera shuttle and the Agoyo Lounge, which is quiet and had excellent dinners and light fare. Whole Foods is about 10 minutes away by car. There are probably twenty or thirty good restaurants within a 15-20 minute walk. There is a cheesemonger on Marcy Street and a wine store two blocks away on Palace.

Caroline has always been extremely helpful and accommodating. Anything that goes wrong has been fixed immediately (although the Wifi is mysteriously temperamental – if it is an essential, make sure the proper incantation has been made it get it to cooperate).

Great home, great location!

We loved our stay here in Sante Fe for the week and the accommodations were perfect for our needs. The Casa has fine linens and towels, very comfortable beds and everything you need for cooking in the kitchen. The gardens are spacious and we were within blocks of the down area for a large variety of excellent dining, shopping and galleries. Caroline was very welcoming, we felt right at home and she was also helpful with restaurant recommendations which we took her up on and they were excellent. We will definitely rent from her again, since we love Sante Fe!

Owner's Response: Making a guest stay memorable is my number one priority. 95% of that is a subtile memory of comfortable beds and fine linens. The rest of the memory is all about the great restaurants, art galleries and shopping......and in this case, the best coffee in town. It is fun to recommend Santa Fe's finest when the response is so enthusiastic.
