We had a wonderful weekend, and thought the cabin was super charming and met our needs perfectly. Also, I thought it was really hassle free as far as renting, contract, payment etc... So thank you.

Quaint cabin in the woods

  • 4 of 5

We had a great stay at the "sweet dreams" property this week. The house is so well maintained, clean and decorated, definitely above average to what we are used to going through VRBO at that price point.

Location was great for what we were looking for, a short walk from Tahoe City, Rosie's and the lake, and an easy drive to a lot of hiking trails.

The rooms are nice and cozy, bedding is very comfortable, and everything is top quality (e.g. towels... sometimes considered a detail... but actually make a difference when of good quality!).

The only small downside is how dark the main room gets during the day; windows are tiny and house nested in the woods with not much sun exposure.

Loved the game room!

Comfy, Cozy, Cabin close to Tahoe City

  • 4 of 5

First, I am not one to spend time writing many reviews about anything, but this experience was so good that I'm motivated to tell you about our extended family stay at Sweet Dreams during this past Thanksgiving Holiday. We can't say enough about how comfortable the cabin is. As others say in their reviews, the house has all the amenities, the beds are super comfortable, the linens and bath towels are of high quality, and the fireplace was an especially welcome feature during a three day storm that delivered over seven inches of the white stuff. We were able to cook and enjoy a full Thanksgiving dinner with the kitchenware and utensils on hand. My only complaint, and the reason why I don't give a five star rating, is that many of the jets in the hot tub were not functioning properly; a common theme with many other VRBOs we've stayed at as well. But I do not want to end this review on just one sour note, so I'll mention that the house was cleaned impeccably, and we were impressed with the plowing service of the drive during the storm!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for taking time to write this review!! It is greatly and genuinely appreciated. We are so happy you had a lovely time. Sorry about the hiccup with the hot tub. On this tub you can turn the outer ring on the individual jets to turn them on and off to customize your hot tub experience. Often times the jets get turned to the off position and then the next user thinks they are not working. We will definitely create some instructions to go in the guest book to explain this. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We hope to have you stay with us again!!

Perfect Lake Tahoe Cabin

  • 5 of 5

Beautifully decorated cabin with all of the luxuries of home. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay exceptional. The cabin is within walking distance of Tahoe City and nesteled among the trees. Great deck that surrounds the house and makes you feel as if you are staying in a treehouse. We absolutely loved everything about Sweet Dreams and would definitely stay again if we have the opportunity to return to Tahoe.
