There are few resort experiences as unique as Sundance and few places that you can spend a few days that are as idyllic as this setting at Sundance. The branches of old growth firs brush the cabin’s windows. A year-round stream runs along the walls providing ambiance and natural air conditioning. It gurgles under an eating/barbecuing deck leading to an 8 person hot-tub, tucked back in the pines. Two bedrooms have private decks overlooking the stream. The cabin is airy inside with walls of windows; you feel like you’re living in the trees. The whole house has radiant heating so even on the snowiest days you can be barefoot in the forest. Curl up in front of the fireplace and watch TV or listen to music on a state-of-the-art theater sound system. Cook a meal in a gourmet kitchen when you’re not in the mood to make the short walk through the woods to the great restaurants at Sundance.
2018 News. The cabin next to us was tragically destroyed by fire recently. They have begun constructing a beautiful replacement. This home is about 100 feet away from us. They're moving pretty fast on it so far - if they keep up their current pace they'll be working inside pretty soon. We want to make sure any travelers are fully aware. Sundance is a pretty quiet place with the stream running through often masking most noise from even the closest neighbors but while the house is under construction there will be a few more cars on our quiet road. We'll update this section as there is anything important to know.
We live and work nearby and will do anything we can to help you enjoy your stay
The Unique Benefits of this House: Live music nights at Sundance's Owl Bar when the fire is blazing in the back room. Sunday Brunch at the Foundry Grill - particularly on patio days when the weather is fine. Sunrise bike rides on the mountain when you're likely to catch a moose or deer at every turn. Sunset hikes back from Stewart Falls - two miles away through a high mountain meadow. Summer movie nights at the outdoor theater. Heavy snowfall days when our road is impassable for a couple hours and the hot tub is cranking. Snowshoeing on full-moon nights when the Nordic center opens the trails at night.
Why the Owner Chose Sundance: Our family bought this home to be our home. We lived here for a magnificent decade. But when our family outgrew the house we reluctantly moved nearby and hope that vacationers will enjoy the house as much as we have.

Why David chose Sundance
Our family bought this home to be our home because at Sundance it is entirely possible to have an incredibly unique lifestyle experience - to be able to live in a quiet alpine resort (typically an oxymoron) and still have a vibrant professional job market within 15 minutes drive (Provo/Orem). We lived here for a magnificent decade. But when our family outgrew the house we reluctantly moved nearby and hope that vacationers will enjoy the house as much as we have.

Very enjoyable! The house was cozy and inviting and very well appointed. The fluffy robes were a nice touch. Will definitely come back.
Rented for my graduation weekend and David was very accommodating to allow us an early check in and late check out. Kitchen has everything you need, one little thing is we had brought coffee grounds and weren't expecting a Keurig coffee maker, if that could be clarified in the description that would be appreciated for future renters I'm sure. We enjoyed the seating outdoors, the propane bbq and hot tub. Beautiful home that has an open layout but because we were busy and didn't mind the little privacy for our family, we appreciated the togetherness in the treehouse like feel.
Quiet and Relaxing -- Perfect Retreat
This was exactly what we were looking for: Peace and quiet, a comfortable bed, and an outdoor hot tub! We wanted a break from work, traffic, people, and stress. This a wonderful home, perfect for two but with room for more if needed. The area was very quiet this time of year, and we were able to enjoy the hot tub, under the stars, with a little snow. The house offers heated floors, so even though outside was still chilly, the house was warm and inviting. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway. Great communication with owners.
Erik. Thanks for the kind words. And thanks for mentioning the comfortable beds! That's a point of honor for us. We decided after staying in a few rental homes over the years with (thin beds and too few pillows) that we were going to provide a "heavenly" bed. Because when you're on vacation, we want the bed to add to the reality that you CAN sleep in a little. We have a multi-point strategy with our beds. And I'll tell you the first one now and each time someone compliments our beds in a review we'll disclose another. Lots of high quality pillows. On our queen beds we have two fluffy queen size pillows and three fluffy normal size pillows. With more in the drawer if you need them. So whether you sleep on your side, front, back or hover in the air you'll have enough pillows. Thanks again!
Great property, beautiful location and stocked with everything we needed. We loved this place and hopefully can return soon. Peaceful setting right on the stream, very comfortable bed!
This home is as beautiful as the pictures. Everything is as described. The scenery to amazing! We walked down to Sundance for coffee one morning, lunch the 2nd day and also listened to the live music at the Owl Bar.
Also the hosts were extremely responsive and helpful. Everything was perfect!
Windows on the Water Hideaway
This special place is tucked into a canyon not far from the Sundance Resort. A creek runs through the property that provides relaxing background sound constantly. The cabin has a very open floor plan with two loft bedrooms. Even though there are windows everywhere, there was still the element of privacy. Beds were comfortable, amenities were plentiful, hot tub was fantastic. Electronics and internet were top notch. I was amazed at the steepness of the terrain in the area. On a map it looks like you can walk easily to the resort. Maybe in the summer but it would be quite a bit of a hike back up. I liked the proximity of the resort to the town of Orem. Maybe 8 miles and you are in the valley with all the stores and restaurants you would need. And the Provo River is right there. We might go back in the summer to fish. The balconies and outdoor patio probably fantastic in the summer. Parking fine for one big truck. Might be snug for two vehicles especially in winter. I liked the big curtain that separated the queen loft bedroom. Rustic for sure but very cozy and comfortable. Owner is very accessible and responsive by phone. One of the other residents had a tractor with a snow clearing front end. He cleared the road after it snowed several inches. The road in is tight but there is a clearing at the top of the road where you can turn around easily to head out. The radiant heating was perfect. We never had to adjust it and there is plenty of hot water. All in all a very relaxing place and well worth it.
