Overview

North Coast California Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Attached Unit, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 8)

This is an old cabin on a secluded 4 acres that has been renovated. It is very comfortable and has a tremendous view of the ocean. There is a rocky path down the cliffs to the ocean for tide pool looking and for fishing but children should be kept back from the edges of the property bordering the ocean as the cliffs might crumble. There is a beach about 1/4 mile away that can be walked to. Because of the drought we are limiting the number of guests to 5. Guests must provide own linens and towels and take home garbage. This keeps the cost of the rental down. Its one of the best spots on the coast.

We are about 1 mile south of FB.

Since the property is up for sale it can be shown by appointment only and it may be shown while renters are there. There would be an advance notification.

Wonderful cabin by the sea!

  • 5 of 5

My family absolutely loved our long weekend at this charming rustic cabin . We were looking for a quiet, secluded hideout by the sea and not a luxury condo experience. We brought our own drinking water (we always do) and were very comfy in the house. We can’t wait to go back. The owner, Dolores, was very sweet.

Hidden cabin with a red bench

  • 5 of 5

Cute, hidden cabin overlooking the ocean. Loved our stay here, the oven and fridge are outdated however it added to the cabin feeling. Drinking water was ok, rusty taste so do take your own water. But overall best cabin feeling ever.

Loved it!!

  • 4 of 5

Even though I was sick for two entire days of our trip. This place was AMAZING! absolutely the most beautiful few from all the windows on that side of the cabin. Only downfall is the one bathroom. But it's definitely manageable. With the new water tank and all we had no trouble. Bringing your own linens is actually not bad. At least you know they are clean. We just dumped our trash when we went to town and dropped it like a gas station or whatever. I see why they don't want it left. It would a tract critters. Deer wander through all the time. Very quiet and relaxing. Kind of hard to locate driveway and driveway could use a little trimming but that's it. We will DEFINITELY be renting again..oh if you want tv larger than a 19 inch, bring your own.

Absolutely LOVE this place!

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for an old, secluded beachfront cabin then this is your pick. I almost dont want to write this review because I want to be able to rent this twice per year, for the next 10 years and dont want others taking my dates! This cabin is so warm with the the wood burner, beach access is a piece of cake, and is nestled deep into the woods yet right behind the town. We love it!

rustic cabin with a lot of baggage

  • 1 of 5

We have rented the Cabin for the 3rd year now and have exceeded our baggage limit! The beautiful location, peace and solitude have been usurped by excessive limitations, such as linen use fees (in addition to the housekeeping charge), septic that backs up in the shower continuously (with only 4 occupants), rust in the drinking water (filters for the britta, not included), and electrical power not available on Mondays between 4 and 7pm (isn't that part of the rental fee, electricity). Some charges passed on to the renter are fair, but power? Camping in Fort Bragg is cheaper and with a lot better services!

Owner's Response: This is this renters 3rd time they've rented. They wrote this review before they arrived this time. This is the first review. I believe that they are mad because PGand E asked that we don't use electricity between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on June 30, one time only, and I passed that request on to them. I don't think she read the email correctly when I passed the request on to them. When they objected I told them forget that request. Anyway, we've installed a 2600 gal water storage tank and filtering system so the rust in the water shouldn't be a problem. Since she was there last a new septic system and flash flushing toilet was installed. Our cabin is rustic, we do charge for cleaning as we like the place to be clean for the renters and the next renters. Our prices are very reasonable because we do ask people to bring their own linens and take their garbage with them. I'm sorry she was upset by the PG&E request.
