The Chalet, an 1,860 square foot timber frame Barn, was originally built in 2005 to be used by owner Jake Thompson as his wood shop, stalls for the two Percheron draft horses, Kobuk & Tecumseh “the boys” used in the Carriage business, and a hayloft above. The boys were retired in 2010 and in the years following the renovations began, sanding all the beautiful Douglas Fir timbers and enclosing the stall areas. The transformation was amazing and the new cottages are nicely appointed craftsman style luxury. The Carriage House Chalet Loft is referred to as the "Hayloft", as it once was.
