You're coming all the way to Telluride ... why not let us spoil you? This new (2008) luxury residence is in the heart of town -- the 'Depot' area -- just steps from the gondola and ski slopes. This elegant and sophisticated three-bedroom town home lives and feels like a single-family residence and offers wonderful views, open living spaces, south-facing deck, quality custom construction and high-end finishes and fixtures throughout. Part of a complex, the South Residence offers primary access off the alley just south of West Pacific Ave. An open kitchen and living area with high vaulted ceilings, gas fireplace and large south-facing deck with gas grill and outdoor seating and wonderful views occupies the entire second floor. The master suite, mudroom and entry are on the main level, and two guest rooms (each with its own full bath) share the entire lower level. The top floor houses a large loft with full queen sofa bed and TV/DVD. The loft area is also served by a full bath off of the kitchen. 2,000 sq. ft.
Our family fell in love with Telluride in 1999. We've returned every year, renting all over town and in Mountain Village. When we decided to own a home in this very cool town, we limited our search to locations very close to the two centers of activity -- the gondola base and Main Street in Telluride.
Town of Telluride License #: 13711
The Owner purchased this house in 2009
We wanted a home with top-quality finishes and a 1-min. walk either to the gondola and Lift #8, or to the shops and restaurants on Main Street. We found just that at 408 Pacific in Telluride. Voila -- welcome to our home in paradise!
From our home:
* Walk about 1 min. southeast to the gondola and lift #8 ... or ...
* Stroll about 1 min. to Telluride's famed Main Street for shopping, restaurants, and then on to Town Park ... or ...
* Meander about 1 min. over to the beautiful river trail that flows for miles alongside the San Miguel River ...
You're in the middle of all that beautiful Telluride has to offer. What's not to love?!
This was our third Christmas spent in Telluride and our second when we've travelled with another family. This home had ample accommodations for 4 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 younger kids. The in-floor heat kept us toasty warm! The kitchen was spacious enough for two people to work together cooking. It was so pleasant to have kids playing games at the big table, others watching Christmas movies, someone making some snacks and cocktails and all the while, no one was crowded! The location was perfect with less than a block's walk to the Gondola and 2 blocks to downtown. There were ample linens, toiletries, dishes, cookware and small appliances. The ski locks were great outside and all of our boots (yes, for all 8 of us) fit into the entry. There was nothing lacking. We will definitely try to stay here again on future visits to beautiful Telluride!
We spent one week at this lovely home over Christmas. We have been to Telluride for the past 15 years and this was one of the best homes we have stayed in. It's location, only a block from the Gondola base, was the best we have ever stayed. We loved the house, it is spacious and has everything you need to be comfortable and was great for our family of 7.
We absolutely loved the Stimson's home. It was beautiful and the location couldn't have been more convenient. We are VRBO owners as well and this home met every expectation. We will definitely rent it again!
I recently stayed at 408 Pacific Avenue, Unit B for the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival. We had a group of 6 adults at the house. Everything was perfect in the home and the house was well appointed. Beds were extremely comfortable, linens were quality and the house was extremely clean. The location is perfect for all things in Telluride and the owner and property manager made everything easy and worry free. We truly felt like we were home during our stay.
With 8 people in our group we needed a place that gave everyone a comfortable place to stay and sleep. The Stimson home was perfect comfortably sleeping all 8 of us as well as having more than enough bathrooms that we never once ran into any issues even while having 2-3 additional friends over.
We were in town for a two-day music event and the place is so conveniently located very center of the town with short walks everywhere(gondola, stores, town park, etc)! All our friends who didn't stay with us were always coming to our place as it was "the coolest" and "impressive".(Jealous they were) Amy the caretaker was a doll, and very friendly/helpful! :)
The steam shower in the master bathroom was a delight especially not being used to the dry air in the mountains. The place has a large living room area with a deck off it as well. The couch in the living room is dangerous! It's so comfortable you might end up falling asleep on it multiple nights (oops) ;) Eventually finding you way back to your very comfortable bed though! Plenty of good seating space for people in the living room.
Everything worked perfectly, and the place was stocked with plenty of utensils/pots/pans/appliances for cooking and towels/shampoo/soaps/etc for the bathrooms. Beds were extremely comfortable! - Everyone said that during this trip at one point. If I had to come here during the winter I would feel very comfortable as although we didn't have to use the heat much it was very warm when it got a little chillier out at night. It being so close to the gondolas I am sure skiing/snowboarding folks would have a great time staying here.
My really only "complaint" was we couldn't stay longer :) We had some on-off rain showers the last day we were there which prevented us from taking a hike we were hoping to do, but still made the best of it playing board games and watching movies indoors while popping pop-corn with a stove-top maker they provided.
The only thing this place is missing is maybe a hot-tub. ha :) Beyond that it's a great/beautiful/comfortable place for small or big groups.
If the music event is approved again next year we will be immediately booking here. Otherwise we hope to return for a winter season sometime in the next year! Thank you!
My husband and I and our children and spouses stayed at the Stimson home for our daughter's wedding in Telluride. It was the perfect house in the perfect location for all of our wedding activities. We were steps to the gondola and to the market around the corner and all the lovely shops in town. Charlie and Amy were just a phone call away if we needed anything or had questions. This house set the standard for rentals. Thank you, Charlie!
