Overview

About the property

One Bedroom, 1 Bath (Sleeps up to 4) Full Kitchen

All of our apartments are stocked with kitchen and bathroom essentials, blow dryers, irons, ironing boards, and free wifi access.

300 is a one-bedroom apartment with large rooms and lots of space. The apartment was originally two studios, which we've combined into the largest one-bedroom unit in the building. The bedroom has a King sized bed, and the living room features a luxury queen-sized sleeper sofa. The apartment is on the Harvard Avenue side of the building, facing east. This apartment is approx. 700 sq ft.

The sleeper sofa in the living room is made by a company named American Leather. They have a patent on the design, which uses a solid platform and foam for the mattress. This makes the bed much more comfortable than a traditional metal framed sofa bed.

Apartment 300 has a full kitchen with gas range, microwave and full size refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster and toaster oven, blender and all the dishes, pots and pans, silverware, etc.

In addition, there is a good sized closet in the vestibule entry, plus lots of drawers for storage, and a small writing desk. The bathroom has an original 1910 clawfoot tub. The tub is fitted with a shower as well.

Please be aware that this is an urban environment. In our neighborhood you can expect to encounter people from all walks of life and hear noise, often late into the evening. If a silent outdoor environment is important to you, this part of Seattle may not be the best place for you to stay. That being said, St. John's is an incredible place to experience the city from, and we have security systems, triple-pane windows to reduce the street noise as well as white noise machines in the bedrooms to make sure you sleep easy.

About Bryce Montgomery

We have eight short terms rental units in the same building, which Oda owns. She has St. John's as an investment, but she's not a big real estate investor, it's her only building. We've had a very good experience with it, the location is excellent and the people we've met here are wonderful. It's a great neighborhood, vibrant, filled with things to do and places to go. It's much better than downtown Seattle, which closes up shop in the evening and has an empty, big tall buildings. Our area comes alive at night, filled with restaurants, bars and boutiques. It's like being in New York City or maybe Paris, except since it's Seattle, everybody's friendly here.

Felt right at home!

  • 5 of 5

Easy communication, easy access. Loved that there were all the amenities including shampoo and conditioner! The market across the street made it so nice for grocery shopping. We fell in love with the city in this place. It felt like we were coming home after sightseeing all day. We can't wait to come back! Thanks Bryce and Johnny for making our stay so pleasant.

St John's Is Awesome!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I have spent a great deal of time in the Seattle area visiting for concerts, sporting events and to enjoy city life. This trip was different one of our family was going to be in the hospital for an extended stay so instead of a hotel we were seeking more of a permanent comfortable place to stay for the several months that we would be spending time in Seattle. What we found with St John's was a gem! A wonderful place to call home while we were in the city! My wife and I rented the apartment for 2 months we fell in love with it and even had other family join us in neighboring units in the building 319 & 308! The building is old with so much character and charm! The rooms were always spotless and clean and the staff Christine helping with our reservations and Johnny the building manager was always there when we needed anything! I have stayed in some of the nicest hotels in the city and my first choice forever will now be St John's! The Capital Hill Neighborhood has many great places to eat, grocery store right across the street and a nice walk downtown to Pike Place is easy! It is even awesome for taking in the sporting events the streetcar is a block away and takes you right to the stadium! The new light rail is just a few blocks away as well which can now take you right to Husky stadium and you avoid all the parking and headaches! Comfy clean just like home! J

Snug & Comfortable Week's Winter Stay

  • 5 of 5

Coming for a week's visit with my son and daughter-in-law, I most wanted to be close to their apartment. St. John's Apartments was a short two blocks from them. We spent time together in my apartment cooking, playing games, and reading since it was quite cold outside, and we also ventured out to nearby restaurants, Elliot Bay Bookstore, the Sunday Broadway Farmers Market, and even walks downtown. Having the grocery store right across the street was wonderfully convenient.

Although this is a busy section of Capitol Hill and can be noisy, I really was not bothered by it. The apartment was clean and most comfortable. Johnny reset the WiFi when I lost it temporarily. I especially enjoyed the claw foot tub, the truly comfortable bed, and the two flat-screen TVs. An added nice touch is all the original art work. I will stay here again when I come back to visit my son. It was the perfect place for me.

Thanksgiving Week 2014 at St. Johns

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at St. Johns for the week of Thanksgiving, 2014 so we could spend time with our daughter and her husband who live nearby. We found the apartment to be especially clean and tidy, and the master bed very comfortable. We had a wonderful time, the apartment is spacious and well located ~ we loved the fact that we only had to walk across the street to QFC for groceries, etc. The location could not have been any better..... lots of places to eat, drink and be merry! We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone visiting the Seattle area and hope someday to come back and stay again!

Fantastic property in downtown Seattle

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time I've booked Suite 300 at St. John's Apartments. The crew managing the place are wonderfully attentive and responsive. The unit is very spacious, clean, and well-equipped with appliances, dishes and cookware. It even had a few of the essentials - oil, basic spices, mustard, etc - which saved us money and effort.

We will definitely be booking this place again in the future.
