Excellent! 4.5/5 -
(6 traveler reviews)

Cozy cabin in the center of Crystal Mountain Resort.
average rating of 4.5 based on 6 reviews

Our group stayed here last winter & we truly enjoyed our weekend! Unfortunately I misplaced jewelry (I thought they spilled into my suitcase) but it wasn't there when I unpacked at home. It turned up between the mattress & headboard months later!!! What is amazing is they went above & beyond to find us & return the jewelry. Some of it was inexpensive but priceless with sentimental value & some of it would have been costly to replace. That alone is worth a high recommendation!! We returned this year for another fun family & friend weekend & were blown away by the beautiful update/remodel! When planning a trip up north definitely consider the Cozy Cabin!!

Great for a family ski vacation

  • 5 of 5

The cabin had a perfect setup for two families to spread out comfortably. The lower level had benches for everyone to use for removing ski gear and enough hooks to hang up coats and pants to dry. The kids enjoyed having the lower level tv area to themselves, which also made the adults happy to have quiet time on the main level. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our dinners each night, and it was handy having the pantry to put away our food for the week. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would definitely stay here again!

The property was perfect and very spacious. Jesse and Rejeanne were very accommodating and resourceful. The kitchen was great and all the bedrooms made it a great stay for the 9 of us. The location in Crystal Mountain was unique as well. It's about 45 min into Traverse City and 35 min to the Sleeping Bear Dunes which was nice as well. Would recommend to friends and family.

Nice house

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here with another family on a ski weekend. Total of 4 adults and 5 kids, so the house was plenty large and having the hot tub in the basement was nice. Things that I wasn't crazy about: upstairs shower is sized for kids not full-grown adults; we ran short on toilet paper and paper towels and had to go out and buy some, kitchen could've been better appointed--needed large stock pot for pasta, no salt & pepper, there were no ziplocs or saran wrap for wrapping up sandwiches, etc. These are minor things, but for the $$ we spent, it should've been provided.

Owner's Response: We are very aware and always concerned about the comfort of our guests. Regarding the upstairs shower, it is sized adequately for an average-sized adult. Also, we provide 3 additional rolls for each of the 3 bathrooms. This should be more than enough for a group of 12, especially for a weekend stay. Finally, basic spices and a stock pot large enough to cook spaghetti is provided, and the addition of food storage supplies has been made. Please be assured that any and all improvements that are suggested by renters are considered carefully and thoroughly. We reside minutes away from the rental site, and do our best to make ourselves available to address the renters' needs.

Independence Day Weekend Gathering

  • 4 of 5

Our group had a great time in Crystal Mountain Resort. We had a large group who spread out and occupied every inch of the truly "cozy" cabin, yet, we had room to extend onto the large deck and to bike and walk around the resort and never felt like we were trampling on each other. We swam and played at Waters Edge and rode the Alpine slide. We spent a day kayaking and enjoying the Platt River and Lake MIchigan. Our drive to Traverse CIty for the fireworks was about 45 minutes. We ate in Frankfurt and just really enjoyed the area. We'd love to come back and have more time to explore further.

The cabin is clean and comfortable with all of the necessary supplies. The kitchen is well equipped. We grilled on the deck. The beds were comfortable. We had a couple of questions which were addressed immediately by the agent. Our deposit was quickly returned (within a week). We would definitely stay here again.
