We set out to create a one-of-a-kind home and succeeded. The architecture is modern, yet warm, industrial, yet slightly Asian. It has many influences that are Pacific Northwest but it is worldly in its style. The home is spacious, nearly 3000 square feet and there is plenty of space to be together or have quiet to yourself. Two of the three bathrooms are very large, one with slate shower and jetted tub and a view of the bay. It is wired for music and Wi-Fi.
Not only is this home an amazing place to relax or entertain, but it has two full office spaces and is fantastic for working while you are here. It is set with cabinets, desks, great lighting and tons of space. The offices are located downstairs near the huge TV room but separate so you can have privacy and concentrate. It is close to shopping and downtown Seattle, and Bellevue. It's close to the airport. And it's close to hiking and biking, skiing and swimming. It is pretty perfect!
Whole Foods, restaurants, banks, parks, all you need within minutes drive.
Our home has a living room, dining room and a huge kickback TV room downstairs, with flat screen, couches, video game systems, and plenty of books to read.
You will love it so much, we hope you will want to come back soon!
Active family who love to travel and socialize. We love entertaining and our home reflects that in its layout, with lots of space for privacy too!
Owner/Manager purchased this house in 1990
This property is unique for its architectural design, interior design but also its size and closeness to downtown and many other points of interest. Yet, it is a neighborhood that is quaint, safe and lovely.
The home architecture has been profiled as a top winner for its design. We worked hard to create a unique, but very warm experience. We believe we hit it! You will love spending time here. The use of natural wood juxtaposed with other materials and the soaring two story ceiling are beautiful and impressive. All of the artwork in the home is original, painted by a beloved family member.
This house was the perfect home base for 3 generations to celebrate milestone anniversaries while exploring the Pacific North West. It was immaculately clean with classy, modern furnishings, and the owners have attention to detail which was much appreciated. The kitchen was well-equipped and very organized with labels, and had everything we needed for cooking, grilling, and even storing leftovers (The shelf of kids' dishes was much appreciated, as even though ours aren't little anymore we prefer to use plastic cups rather than breakable ones when brushing teeth, etc). We had a minor wifi issue come up one day and the owners responded immediately to address it...thus SAVING THE DAY for our kids.
--Tons of space and privacy, helpful so that you actually still like each other at the end of your visit 😀
--The Bose house sound system
--Comfortable and high quality furnishings
--Gorgeous views of the city and the Puget Sound from the decks and Master bedroom
--As always when staying at a home instead of a hotel, we got a taste of the local lifestyle in learning to recycle per Seattle's requirements...enjoyed it and now we're incorporating recycling into our life back home.
--Excellent location, near the classic "must sees" and close to experiences off the beaten path too
No cons, but things to be aware of:
--To protect the beautiful wood floors, the owners ask that shoes be removed inside the house. If anyone in your group is unsteady on their feet, they may want to bring rubber-soled slippers so that they don't slip on the stairs (fortunately my elderly mother who has balance issues had packed these)
--The Queen Ann neighborhood is picturesque and authentic, with authentically narrow streets...we had a minivan for our group of six and loved exploring the area but would recommend a smaller vehicle if possible (best anyway when visiting a city this size). No problems fitting in the driveway though, and happy we had off-street parking
I'm very glad that this house was available for our stay and would recommend it to anyone wanting a special and memorable place to stay in Seattle.
This house was absolutely "perfect" for our stay in Seattle. We were attending a wedding and all 4 of my adult children, two granddaughters, myself and my husband and a close friend were so thrilled to find such a comfortable place for 9 at an affordable price. My kids loved the modern architecture and claimed if I had a house like that, "they would move back home." We spent much of our time at the house enjoying each other and the beautiful views of Elliot Bay from several spots inside and outside. My personal favorite place was the window seat in the master bedroom. We cooked most of our meals at the house and found the kitchen spacious, easily accommodating several chefs at once, while others could still visit from the sitting or dining areas. That Viking stove is awesome. We also BBQ'd and totally enjoyed the flow from dining room to deck. The house surpassed my expectations and we created memories that will last a lifetime! Thank you so much for sharing this fabulous with home with us.
This was a great home for a reunion of old high school friends. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and well equipped. It's close to a bus route that made a car unnecessary for our purposes. We used the #1 bus to get downtown and across the water to Bainbridge Island. Leafy Queen Anne neighborhood is also great, in walking distance of a small but mighty market, a locally famous bakery, cafes, coffee shops, and an old cemetery. Hanging out "at home" gave us time and room to reminisce, rejuvenate, and putter in the kitchen. Both owner and property manager were gracious and accessible. Best for couples in terms of bedroom space, but we six single women made it work.
We were 6 adults and a toddler having a family reunion from the US and UK... The house was beautiful, had plenty of rooms and beds for every one to be comfortable... The kitchen supplies were amazing with every thing we could possibly need to cook... Including spices, coffee, tea extra..plenty of towels, and other supplies to make us feel so comfortable and at home.
The house location was perfect close enough to shopping and downtown Seattle, and of course had an amazing view with a adorable deck and garden.
The owner Perrin was very obliging and worked with us to have someone be at the house to collect a delivery of a wheelchair the day before..... Thank you again
We had a wonderful vacation and enjoyed Seattle, and would definitely stay here again.
This house has everything listed and much more. We had six adults and two children, everyone had their own space as well as a wonderful gathering area. The kitchen was well equipped and made cooking easy, with lovely living room on one side and a comfortable dining area on the other. The outdoor decks are surrounded with creative gardens and breathtaking views of the sound and mountains. Having a driveway was a big plus, and street parking was available on this quiet street. The location to downtown is easy, as is the quaint shopping in Queen Anne. This was our first trip to Seattle to visit our son. If the rest of the family comes again, we will definitely rent this home!!!
Our family has rented homes in and outside of the US, and by far this one is at the top of our list! We wanted for our adult children and grandchildren to have a "city" experience as they were raised on the Jersey shore. We loved the house, location, garden, as well as all the home had to offer. Seattle is a wonderful city, our one son who recently move here also was able to experience a different area of town. All of us enjoy cooking and it was a pleasure in this well appointed kitchen! Thank you for sharing your metropolitan home!
There is so much to do in Seattle, especially around Queen Anne. Just minutes from downtown, yet is a real neighborhood with a quaint main core with restaurants, shops, and more. The home is fulll of artichectural eye candy and very comfortable. A great place to entertain, watch the bay views or sit by the fire and read. The home is only 40 minutes to skiing and in the summer, five to 10 minutes to a great beach. Better yet, stay home and barbeque and enjoy the sun on the deck. Every amenity you desire, Seattle has, and it's all within minutes!
Other Activities: downhill/alpine skiing, boating, snowboarding, health/beauty spa, miniature golf, shopping, kayaking, cross country skiing, basketball court
