This charming 1880s home, once owned by a Senator has been charmingly renovated in 2008 and 2009. Included are fabulous makeovers in the new kitchen with granite countertops, bedrooms, and baths...renovated to perfection!

From the elegant master bedroom, step through time; step through the floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook majestic Napoleon Avenue. Beautiful pine floors, original to the house have been redone and glisten. This stately home features original cast iron fencing and gate, an old St. Louis brick pathway to a courtyard, stained glass, high ceilings, ceiling fans, fireplaces, formal dining room, transoms, a balcony bistro set, ceiling medallions, crown molding throughout, and with all the fine amenities to make your stay enjoyable and memorable.

This comfortable atmosphere has the features of home with a furnished kitchen with all new appliances including a full-size microwave, dishwasher, stove, coffee maker, hot water dispenser, and disposal. A new washer and dryer are within the unit for your use. All these features comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests.

This stately home is surrounded by the ole New Orleans charm with streetcars just blocks away that will take you to many destinations throughout the city including the French Quarter, Superdome, Canal Street, Lower Garden District, Central Business District, City Park, Audubon Zoo, and historical cemeteries. The streetcar would be a great choice to take you to the historic universities Loyola, Tulane, and Xavier. Magazine Street is two blocks in the other direction which is well known for its eclectic shops, antiques, French pastries, and local restaurant favorites. Visit New Orleans, for pleasure or business, and you will find a relaxing and comforting environment that welcomes you back again.

Great location, clean, amazing vacation!

We found this property because we were in a very bad area and had to get out quickly. The owners responded VERY quickly and we were out of the bad situation within an hour. The property is a few blocks from great bars and restaurants and a quick ride to the festivities! I would definitely recommend this property! Thank you to the owners that were so willing to work with us and help us out!

Mary and Liz were wonderful in the stages of planning all the way through to when we were actually staying at the property.

The howes is located walking distance to Magazine St which is a wonderful place to visit cute shops and restaurants. And Bourbon St is a quick Uber ride away.

Great place that I will definitely keep in mind for a future visit to NOLA.

Myself and 7 friends stayed at this beautiful home on Napoleon Avenue for three nights. We were all able to sleep comfortably. There was a coffee pot and great fridge storage. There is walking distance to a grocery store and a few restaurants. Also walking distance to the trolley that we were able to take downtown. The owners Liz and MJ were easy to get ahold of and the instructions were great and on time!! I would definitely recommend this house.

Friendly owners and great home

We (a group of eight friends in our 20s) stayed at the Napoleon over Fourth of July weekend in 2015. Liz and Mary Jean were both very sweet and responsive throughout the process. The refrigerator broke down while we were there, but they kindly allowed us to access the refrigerator in the apartment next door. While the trolley line in the area was closed for construction while we were there, the house was still quite accessible by bus, and a good distance from the places we wanted to go. The house was comfortable, well-furnished, and a good size for us, although as a disclaimer, our group isn't particularly high-maintenance. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor grill (made ourselves some steaks to accompany our crawfish boil from Big Fisherman's). All-in-all we had a wonderful time in New Orleans and at the Napoleon, and would definitely recommend both! P.S. I really appreciated the handwritten card that came along with our returned security deposit. Thanks to you both for having us as guests!

Wonderful trip

We had an amazing time at the Napoleon house! Liz and Marie Jean were responsive and we had great communication. They are lovely people. We had a great time watching parades with them and their friends.

The condo is great with a beautiful balcony. The living room and dining room are spacious and comfortable.

Some of the railings on the stairs are loose or not really attached but is a quick fix.

We would stay again for sure! Thank you both.

Wonderful place to stay!! Loved it!!

The Napoleon was the perfect house to stay in for a large group. We were very close to Magazine St., plenty of great restaurants, bars, and shops. Only a few blocks from St. Charles (where the trolleys run constantly). We made several easy and cheap trips back and forth to Bourbon. This beautiful home made our trip great. Thanks Liz and Mary Jean!! Y'all are great.

For Mardi Gras, off-street, gated parking may be available across the street. To park in the lot for Mardi Gras, there is a $25 fee per car, per day.
