About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, Sleeps 8, Spacious Dining/Living Area, 3400+ sq ft

Welcome (or willkommen) to the River Vista Haus!

We invite you to escape to a sanctuary where the stress and chaos of everyday life are left behind. At our private riverfront retreat, situated on the incredibly beautiful Wenatchee River, you will enjoy the serenity and bliss of a home-away-from-home vacation. Relax in the warm, cozy comforts of our home while enjoying amazing riverfront views and sounds of rushing water from almost every room.

At the River Vista Haus, you’ll be surrounded by an abundance of wildlife at any time of year. Depending on the season, you may spy hummingbirds, chickadees, deer, salmon, elk, osprey, or eagles. Across the river is the Wenatchee National Forest – a wonderful wildlife preserve where we have spotted an elk herd and a black bear fishing for salmon – the best of nature viewing from the safety of our side of the river!

Our River Vista Haus provides 3,400+ square foot accommodation - great for family gatherings! There are three bedrooms plus one bunk bed, four bathrooms (2 showers), gourmet kitchen, 7 person hot tub overlooking the river, and spacious dining/living/bar area with cathedral ceilings for entertaining. We also have high speed internet, TV, and a cabin phone.

Worried about cabin fever? The Bavarian themed village of Leavenworth can be reached in a 30 minute scenic drive. In Leavenworth you will find plenty of excellent dining, shopping and fun seasonal festivities.

We take pride in our property and are responsive to any of our renters needs. Why Tri chose Leavenworth

There were many reasons why we chose to get a vacation home in this area. Here are some of our reasons: * A little bit of Bavaria - come experience the sights, sounds, and festivals of an authentically German experience! * Amazing Outdoors - breathtaking forest, mountain vistas, and rushing glacial rivers create amazing opportunities for Leavenworth's renown outdoor recreation. You can hike, mountain bike, golf, river raft, swim, ski, snowshoe, etc! * Close To Seattle - it is about a 2-hour drive from Seattle so its a great weekend getaway for the family!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a great time last weekend at your beautiful home. Thank you for sharing it with us. The location was so peaceful right there on the river. I realize how much I miss the towering pine trees and scenery after living in Texas for the past 23 years. I was born and raised in western Washington and hope to move back to the Spokane area permanently within the next year or so. Nothing compares to the beauty of the Northwest!

Beautiful home with an even more beautiful view!

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely one of the best VRBO houses I've ever stayed in! The view of the river and tranquility of the setting was stunning. Everything you could possibly need to prepare your own meals, the hot tub, the beds and linen...we throughly enjoyed our stay and will hopefully return again next year! Thank you for allowing my family to stay in your home!

Amazing view, plenty of space, I'm coming back!

  • 4 of 5

I enjoyed my stay at the Vista. The home is very large and there is plenty of space to spread out with bedrooms on the 1st and 2nd floor. The view and proximity to the lake is unparalleled. Any issue I had was quickly addressed by the property management. My only note would be that the home is obviously very much used by the owners and is a little cluttered with there things in the closets and cupboards. Doesn't take away from the homes many positives. Definitely coming back to stay in the summer.

Great location

  • 4 of 5

Overall we enjoyed our stay. You cant beat the views, location, and colors for this time of year. We saw the resident bear in the driveway one day, and the salmon in the river were huge. For the three of us, the place was more than enough space. Temps kept us from enjoying the deck, however, the fireplace was great to sit around and have coffee. A few maintenance items worth noting; there is a lot of banging noises coming from the kitchen stove area, not sure what that is about. The fridge water filter red indicator light was on. There were several light bulbs out or the switches don't work, not sure which is the case.

Fabulous!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed 3 nights and loved every minute. The salmon were running upstream (of course) and it was fun watching them. Took our 96 year old Aunt with us and she gave us a history lesson on the area and taught us about salmon spawning while playing Mexican Train Dominoes every night. The stars were spectacular as was the moon at night. The house was clean and spacious. The only reason I gave it 4 (not 5) was the hot tub was not operable while we were there. We had brought our suits and wanted to sit out and admire the beauty of the river, trees and stars but were unable to. We contacted the owner who said he would send someone to fix it, but it didn't get fixed before we left. I would definitely stay there again however. Didn't figure out the less treacherous route to Leavenworth until the last day! Wish we had figured that out sooner. But, the windy road (Chumtick or something like that) was beautiful...but made it in before dark each night!!!!
