The Perfect Location! – West LA Beauty Near Beverly Hills & UCLA

Newly remodeled in late 2017 - Fresh paint, new hardwood floors.

When you’re in LA, location matters. The less time you have to spend navigating our often-congested web of freeways, the better. To save your sanity, look no further than this ideally situated LA oasis, located in a prime West Los Angeles neighborhood adjacent to Beverly Hills, three miles from UCLA, a 10-minute drive from the beaches of Santa Monica and Venice, and a 15-minute drive from Hollywood.

For both short and long-term stays, this ground floor apartment in a triplex building offers everything you need to feel at home. The recently remodeled kitchen is packed full of all the gadgets, dishes and cookware you need to whip up a meal at the end of the day, and you’ll feel spoiled doing it, thanks to the brand new granite counter tops and floors, custom cabinets, and stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher.

The living and dining area are bright and airy, with modern furnishings, hardwood flooring, and two sets of sliding glass doors that lead to two separate private patios. Take dinner outside and eat at the café table beside a wall of greenery on the secluded patio; bring a book and a glass of wine and settle into a reclining lounge chair on the other patio.

Satellite TV and a 42” flat-screen in the living room are perfect for a cozy evening in. Browse the Internet using the free WiFi, too. To accommodate guests, the sofa in this room converts to a queen-sized bed.

Hardwood floors carry into the master bedroom, which includes a queen-sized bed overlaid with a memory foam mattress topper. The master has it's own half bathroom for privacy, with a full bathroom off the hall. All linens are provided for you.

The second bedroom has a pair of twin beds and Travertine floors. A set of French doors in this room opens up to one of the patios—a perfect spot for guests to enjoy their morning coffee. All in all, this apartment sleeps up to six comfortably.

Another worry you can dodge? Parking. We will provide 1 offsite parking in private garage. There are also street spots for free, though they may require a bit of searching.

NEW - Expo metro line - Sepulveda Station is just half mile away - 9 minute walk from this apartment.

About Kathryn Morea

We have several vacation rentals on the Westside. Providing excellent accommodations and exceeding guests expectations is my passion. I've been running vacation rentals since 2008. I enjoy the LA lifestyle, perfect weather year round and excellent restaurant choices. I'm always looking for ways to improve my guests experience :-)

Kathryn Morea purchased this apartment in 1994

Why Kathryn Morea chose Los Angeles

This triplex is located right near the 10 & 405 interchange. Being less than 5 miles from the beaches of Santa Monica and yet only 3 miles from UCLA, 2.5 miles from Century City and Beverly Hills and walking distance to the Westside Pavilion - the location is ideal.

What makes this apartment unique

Close freeway access, and restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance (unusual for LA), the expo line is coming soon!

Guestbook comments from the manager

This apartment was really a wondeful place to stay, it was really nicely furnished

and designed and on top of that very spacious. It was close to the freeways

which meant convenient and quick access to other parts of the city. I would

definitely stay there again during my next visit!

Good location but needs a little TLC

  • 3 of 5

Location was off a freeway which made it pretty easy to come and go.. Beds, sheets, and towels were clean, hallway bathroom was updated and nice. The size of the condo was perfect for our family of 4.Property manager was great! If we had any questions we usually got a response with in the day. They even sent us an email the day after we got there to make sure everything was OK. However the condo could use a some TLC. You can tell that the property is old and things have been patched up.. Parking was hard to find in the street so we decided to pay for the extra parking that was offered. And I'm not sure when the last time the condo had a real good cleaning.. There was cobwebs in almost every room, and dust bunnies on the cabinets in the kitchen. My 15 yr old daughter was the person that picked this location and I don't think she would pick it again. I think she learned that pictures can tell a different story from reality. I really think if the condo got a new paint job (ceiling and walls) and cleaned up it would be a really nice place!

During our short stay in this convenient area, we 've found everything we needed. The place is cosy and practical. Bathrooms were clean and the bedrooms comfortable. The kitchen was clean and was user friendly.

It was a nice stay!

UCLA Parents Weekend Stay

  • 4 of 5

We were in LA for UCLA parents weekend, and found this condo for us and our adult student. It worked out great, nice and roomy for us. Easy to get around LA from its location.

You have to park on the court, but that worked out just fine for us, and sometimes with traffic it took a little longer than expected to get to UCLA. Hey, but that is LA traffic!

Okay, just not what I expected.

  • 3 of 5

This location literally has a freeway for a backyard. Much smaller than I expected and many items were damaged (tv, chair, storage unit etc). Limited street parking but they did provided the option of a garage for an additonal fee.

Owner's Response: I’m sorry this guest had an apartment that wasn’t perfect. She didn’t mention any issues during her stay. We actually took this unit out of service for a few days in mid October after this guest checked out, sent our handyman and made some repairs and repainting. It’s looking much sharper and fresher now.

This place was a dive ... would not recommend it

  • 1 of 5

My 1st review never made it to posting even after I made a correction and excluded the rate... so I'm leaving another one. Upon arrival we noticed a smell in the condo... as we started to inspect the condo, we started to notice that the unit was not maintained for a rental property, but more along the lines of a slum lord location. There was obvious water damage in the master bedroom with separation of the sheet rock seam in closet which showed evidence of a water stain. There was also a water stain in the corner of the closet. The bamboo floors exhibited signs of long term wear and tear, there was a crack in the living room wall underneath the pass-through from the kitchen and several chunks of sheet rock off the wall. A corner in the living room was absolutely filthy and looked like a mechanic had been rubbing his hands there. There was left over food and open packages in the cupboard which explains why there was a huge rat trap in the HVAC closet, where there was additional evidence of water damage as the wall had staining and the entire sheet rock ceiling had deteriorated. The plywood sub-floor above had additional water stains that were black indicating mold. The central bathroom wall had been patched and was painted with a different hue of paint making the repair more than obvious. We contacted the agent immediately and indicated we would not be staying there due to the false advertising of a "beautiful" condo, and our niece had started to suffer from allergies. This was a graduation trip for our niece from Florida.. and this was a huge disappointment. The Agent did offer to send someone over to "repair" issues, but these were beyond a quick fix.... obviously this unit is not managed to ensure it is ready for rental.

Owner's Response: I feel bad that this guest was unhappy and did try to work with him to solve his issues. But I do feel he exaggerated. This is a very good area in Los Angeles where properties and rents are quite high. The price we charge for a 2 bedroom 1.5 bath apartment with all furnishings, linens, even incidentals like soap & coffee included are, I believe, an excellent value. I will try to respond to a few issues in this review for future guests. There are non perishable food items left in cupboard such as sugar, spices, coffee and condiments that guests sometimes leave and I tend to keep it there for the use of the next guests. I periodically go through and remove items, but mostly I like to leave those items available for the next families visiting. The bathroom wall which is mentioned was actually installed as a completely brand new bathroom last summer, so it was 12 months old when this guest arrived. The towel bar had been repeatedly grabbed by guests exiting the shower causing the towel bar to be pulled off the wall. After repairing it 4 or 5 times, we removed the towel bar and patched the inch or so of hole and painted over it. The paint looks very similar but if you look close, you can see the patch. This is a beautiful bathroom and every bit of it is a year old or less (the tile, the tub, the floors, sink, vanity, paint - all of it.) I think it is very petty to dwell on a small patch where the towel bar was removed, but it seems to have upset this guest. Additionally this guest went into the HVAC closet and sent me photos of the inside of this utility space. There was no reason to go into this closet and I am now considering to keep it locked. It probably wasn’t cleaned in some time as it’s not like a bed or refrigerator that guests are actually using. It hadn’t really occurred to me (like basements and attics sometimes don’t get the same cleaning as inside your house). I think there was a trap inside this closet for quite sometime and I simply didn’t realize it was there. However, since it’s been brought to my attention, I will have my housekeeper clean it thoroughly. The bamboo floors are showing some wear. I am always buying new towels, sheets, duvet covers, more dishes - last summer I bought a new sofa bed (the dark red sofa bed seen in some photos is from 2015). So there is always upkeep to keeping a rental property in good shape. I will take this guests comments seriously and see if other repairs are needed and take care of them.
