The house is close to Ft. Worden, the beach, San Juan Islands whale watching and fishing tours, restaurants, shops, parks, galleries, golf, wineries, The Farmer's Market and the ferry to Whidbey Island. Two grocery stores are just minutes away to stock up for nice meals at home with streaming TV, laundry room, dishwasher, a BBQ, picnic table and other comforts.

The Guest Nest has high-speed internet and strong cell phone coverage, plus a private deck and lawn area with guest table seating for up to 14 outside, plus another 4-6 inside. There is room to park your boat; bring your jet skis or paddle boards; park your large RV while you stay in the house; and you can bring bikes or rent bikes in town. You can bike or run safely right from the Guest Nest on the Larry Scott Trail for up to 10 miles. It's less than 2 miles to the waterfront; 4 miles to Hudson Point or Chetzemoka Park; or you can go through farm country south of Port Townsend all the way on the trail down to the beach at Discovery Bay.

Inside the Guest Nest you will find conveniences such as a full-size kitchen with dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker, coffee maker, tea kettle, toaster, stove/oven, microwave, crock pot and plenty of dishes, pots, pans and silverware to entertain family and friends. The living room has a 42” HDTV with Apple TV streaming apps, Netflix, Hulu, DVD player with 125 movies, plus books and board games. The living room sofa is also a very comfortable Queen-Size high-end futon bed. The bathroom includes a large, safe walk-in shower with bench, a blow dryer and soft towels. Why Bill & Lisa chose Olympic Peninsula

There is so much to do in Port Townsend and The Olympic National Park, including hiking, beach combing, festivals, golf, wineries, art galleries, antique shops and craft beer pubs. Port Townsend hosts the famous Wooden Boat Festival, The Jazz Festival and the quirky Kinetic Festival. Our town is a great place for relaxing, enjoying fine restaurants or beach walking. The house is 10-15 minutes away from Fort Worden, which is popular with visitors because of the beach. Port Townsend is part of the Olympic Rain Shadow/Banana Belt. Cities inside this area enjoy more sunshine and less rain than the rest of the Northwest. And Port Townsend is the perfect home base to enjoy day trips to the San Juan Islands, Sequin, Olympic National Park, the Hoh Rain Forest and Forks.

Quiet, relaxing, beautiful house!

  • 5 of 5

My wife baby and I had two nights here. We all love it. The were toys for the baby, books and DVDs for us.

Felt like we were way out of town but you can get to Port Townsend in 10 mins.

We visited 3 state parks. All within easy driving from the Guest Nest.

Highly recommended

An amazing stay at The Guest Nest

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our scenic and relaxing stay at The Guest Nest. The hosts were very accommodating and flexible, and easy to communicate with prior to our arrival. The space itself was very clean and well generously stocked with snacks and ample amenities. The Guest Nest was very charming and we'd happily stay again.

Perfect Thanksgiving Get Away

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving get away at the Guest Nest last year. The home was very clean and well appointed, and the owners were gracious and very thoughtful during our stay. We loved the quiet of the property, in the midst of larger woods. We would definitely stay there on future trips.

Beautiful home, well outfitted and great locale

  • 5 of 5

Perfect location just outside of port townsend, tons of restaurants (esp thai food), ferry access to whidbey and if you wanted just a couple hours from Seattle. We however, were there to get away and it provided exactly that. It was very well outfitted and seriously had the most comfortable futon couch I've ever encountered, perfect for relaxing after a long day of driving or exploring. Also, one of the most cleanest homes I've ever Air-VRBO-BnB'd

Will definitely put this home on my "will return" list.
