*NEITHER OUR CABIN OR OUR VIEW WERE DAMAGED IN THE RECENT FIRES.*

This is our personal vacation cabin. We've had this property for 28 years. In 2005 we tore down our old house & built this cabin. While the cabin is 11 years old now and has some minor wear and tear, it is still as glorious as ever! The view is always amazing and the setting is wonderfully relaxing. I promise, it's the most peaceful place you'll ever be! It sits atop a mountain that you easily access from Hwy 321. No long, windy road. It is less than a mile from 321. The road up to the cabin is paved. There is one switchback curve but is plenty wide enough for any vehicle. It is Very private. No 'cabin community' with 50 other cabins on top of you. If you're looking for what the mountains are all about this is it!! It is located 15-20 minutes outside Gatlinburg. You get the true taste of the Smokies here. It sits directly across the street from the National Park. The 15 mile Old Setters Hiking Trail is at the bottom of the hill. The most raw, natural, untouched part of the park is just minutes down the road. A few miles in the opposite direction is Greenbriar. This is one of the most beautiful rivers in the park. You can swim, tube, fish, picnic, hike, butterfly watch or ride thru. I admit, I'm biased, but I believe this is the best cabin in the Smokies!

About Heather

My husband, 4 children and myself live on a horse farm about an hour from the cabin. We board horses, I am in nursing school, and my husband is a motorcycle mechanic.

This property was purchased by my grandmother in 1987. I grew up on this property so it is very dear to my heart. In 2005 we tore down the old house and built the cabin. I designed the cabin, had the blueprints drawn, oversaw construction & chose each unique detail you see...except the spectacular view, of course. God gets the glory for that ;-)

Heather purchased this cabin in 1987

Why Heather chose Tennessee

I have never met a person that has not fallen in love with it.

There is an anointed peace in this place. I am so grateful to be able to experience it and feel blessed to get to share it with others.

What makes this cabin unique

I tell everyone that our house is what coming to the smokies is all about. Peace and tranquility. Many, many guests have altered their plans to get to spend more time in the cabin enjoying the view.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Heather, just wanted to take a quick moment to let you know how much we enjoyed our experience at your cabin. First, the location was ideal! Not far from downtown Gatlinburg and at the same time very private and quiet......from our experience of many, many years of renting cabins around Gatlinburg..... that is a very rare combination.....close, yet quiet and private! Second the views are outstanding! Seeing all those mountains snow capped was just stunning! Thirdly, the type of construction of the cabin and the decor of the cabin made it feel like a great get-a-way! Lastly, the cabin had everything anyone could ever want including a great kitchen, a beautiful outdoor fireplace, great porches to enjoy the outdoors, comfortable beds and even a washer/dryer if needed. We will most certainly be back and would highly recommend the cabin to anyone!

Perfect mountain getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We had the pleasure of staying here for the past week and must say that it was awesome! The view from the back porch is breathtaking! Too many times, people go to the mountains and never get a chance to enjoy the actual mountains. This cabin has the best location! You can honestly enjoy the mountains right from home! It's also very conveniently located to anywhere you want to go in TN or NC. We really enjoyed our week here and will definitely be back!!

PERFECTION...all CAPS!

  • 5 of 5

SO MUCH to say! We have been coming to the smokies yearly for 30 years and usually rent from one of the cabin community companies...NEVER AGAIN! As long as Heather and her husband are renting out their home, that's where we will be staying! The location is PERFECT! A few minutes one way to Gatlinberg, a few minutes the other way to great whitewater rafting. It's tucked up at the end and the top of a mountain road that is all paved and easy to drive! The view is over the top UNREAL! The place is HUGE and clean. Wife LOVED the massive jacuzzi and the teens loved rocking on the porch and snapping on their phones...the wifi is the best. And then there is Heather's hospitality! I hope I didn't bother her TOO much...while we were there, she gave us great driving directions, great restaurant suggestions and displayed a very honest openness to make sure our stay was the best it could be. And then there was the one thing that put it over the top for me...they are very patriotic and it shows throuout, in the very nice southern decor. Please treat this family's home with respect...you will truly enjoy this family's home!

Majestic and Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

Where to start. The cabin is at the top and end of the road and it's beautiful. The large covered parking area kept our motorcycle dry and provided shade for our truck. The cabin's 2 decks provided a welcome breeze in the evening after the heat of the day and the unobstructed view from the mountain deck was gorgeous. That is where we drank early morning coffee or evening cocktails. The cabin was very nicely decorated and and was well stocked with everything you might need for cooking. The gated laundry area was big enough for our large dogs to move around while we were out. We're already planning our next trip with our brother/sister in law. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your home. Mary and Bob

We could not have asked for better.

Out of the way, yet just a short drive in to town. We had everything we needed. The porch swing and hammocks were a hit! The view is amazing (and the stars are breath taking at night). Such a pleasant surprise not to have the small, thin hotel style towels. Enjoyed our stay! We hope to come back soon!

Perfection In This World Is Hard To Find, But We found It!!

  • 5 of 5

When we first arrived at the cabin, we were in awe of the structure and attention to detail! The first words out of my son's mouth were, "Wow! The pictures online don't do this place justice!" What a peaceful, comfortable, awesomely blessed experience we enjoyed when we stayed five days at this beautiful cabin!! Our son, his family (our beautiful granddaughter and toddler grandson) and his wife's mother, along with my husband and I, were very comfortable and enjoyed coming 'home' to the splendor and majestic mountain view each evening after having fun in nearby Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge!! We enjoyed using the well supplied, beautifully decorated kitchen to fix breakfast several mornings and some dinners in the evenings. The husband and wife who own this cabin take such care to provide everything necessary for the comfort of their guests...and we are so grateful to them. It was lovely to sit out on the decks...the swing was my favorite place, and there are rocking chairs, a hammock, a crochet swing and other seating. Our grandchildren had fun playing on the decks, as well. There are two great, large, long decks that we thoroughly enjoyed!! The cabin is beautifully decorated throughout, with lovely little touches of whimsy and country charm. We hope that any one who is considering a comfortable, great cabin to spend some time in, will consider making this the place you choose!! My family and I feel you won't regret it!! Thanks again to our wonderful hosts for being a blessing to us, by allowing us to enjoy this little piece of perfection while on vacation, and while celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary!! Oh, yes...our son and his wife celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary too!!

Close to nature

The pictures can't express the views on here . It's peaceful and so siren relaxing more then words can say . We loved every minute of our stay wish we could taken the cabin home with us.You wont regret renting this property. Our daughter son in-law and Granddaughter was with us . There's so much to do in the area you wont be able to get it done in one week . Wish we could of stayed longer hated to leave this beautiful cabin . Our dogs also enjoyed it the deck has a gate that locks .That's where we spent most of our time watching the sun rise in the mornings with a cup of coffee in hand . It was easy to speak to Heather and she did everything she could to please you . The people that left bad reviews on this place were picky and grumpy and nothing would please them people . People have mistreated and took advantage of this lovely home . Please, if you should rent this lovely home don't tear things up or take advantage of it . We ourseleves done everything we could to take care of it while there like it was our own home . Your ask , to take care to clean up after pets which you should you don't like stepping in dog doo, doo at home neither does anyone else . That isn't to much to ask of anyone . So we agree with Heather . There was a little Beagle running the neighborhood I let Heather know . No , problem Heather was unaware of it nothing else said . Please, don't take advantage of this property and very nice people . So it will be rentable fore everyone else you wont regret it . Once again thank you Heather and Brian for sharing this lovely and tranquil place . Our Granddaughter enjoyed the hammock on the screened in porch.
