*NEITHER OUR CABIN OR OUR VIEW WERE DAMAGED IN THE RECENT FIRES.*

This is our personal vacation cabin. We've had this property for 28 years. In 2005 we tore down our old house & built this cabin. While the cabin is 11 years old now and has some minor wear and tear, it is still as glorious as ever! The view is always amazing and the setting is wonderfully relaxing. I promise, it's the most peaceful place you'll ever be! It sits atop a mountain that you easily access from Hwy 321. No long, windy road. It is less than a mile from 321. The road up to the cabin is paved. There is one switchback curve but is plenty wide enough for any vehicle. It is Very private. No 'cabin community' with 50 other cabins on top of you. If you're looking for what the mountains are all about this is it!! It is located 15-20 minutes outside Gatlinburg. You get the true taste of the Smokies here. It sits directly across the street from the National Park. The 15 mile Old Setters Hiking Trail is at the bottom of the hill. The most raw, natural, untouched part of the park is just minutes down the road. A few miles in the opposite direction is Greenbriar. This is one of the most beautiful rivers in the park. You can swim, tube, fish, picnic, hike, butterfly watch or ride thru. I admit, I'm biased, but I believe this is the best cabin in the Smokies!

About Heather

My husband, 4 children and myself live on a horse farm about an hour from the cabin. We board horses, I am in nursing school, and my husband is a motorcycle mechanic.

This property was purchased by my grandmother in 1987. I grew up on this property so it is very dear to my heart. In 2005 we tore down the old house and built the cabin. I designed the cabin, had the blueprints drawn, oversaw construction & chose each unique detail you see...except the spectacular view, of course. God gets the glory for that ;-)

Heather purchased this cabin in 1987

Why Heather chose Gatlinburg

I have never met a person that has not fallen in love with it.

There is an anointed peace in this place. I am so grateful to be able to experience it and feel blessed to get to share it with others.

What makes this cabin unique

I tell everyone that our house is what coming to the smokies is all about. Peace and tranquility. Many, many guests have altered their plans to get to spend more time in the cabin enjoying the view.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Heather, just wanted to take a quick moment to let you know how much we enjoyed our experience at your cabin. First, the location was ideal! Not far from downtown Gatlinburg and at the same time very private and quiet......from our experience of many, many years of renting cabins around Gatlinburg..... that is a very rare combination.....close, yet quiet and private! Second the views are outstanding! Seeing all those mountains snow capped was just stunning! Thirdly, the type of construction of the cabin and the decor of the cabin made it feel like a great get-a-way! Lastly, the cabin had everything anyone could ever want including a great kitchen, a beautiful outdoor fireplace, great porches to enjoy the outdoors, comfortable beds and even a washer/dryer if needed. We will most certainly be back and would highly recommend the cabin to anyone!

Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

This is a great mountain getaway with a spectacular view. It is cosy yet roomy. It has an open floor plan that serves as a great gathering space. Heather was very easy to contact and attentive to our needs. It is far enough away from the craziness of Gatlinburg yet an easy drive to the city. We would stay here again.

A very enjoyable experience, everything you need to have a relaxing smoky mountain getaway. About 22 Min from gaitlinburg... just as advertised, but the pics under sell... Roomy and spacious with a floor plan that really works for 3 couples/families in the cabin. Did I mention the view and outdoor fireplace!!

Hiding away.....our way!

  • 5 of 5

Perfect spot for our family of four adults and two dogs. The home was clean, had nice quality linens, well stocked with kitchen supplies, and the layout suited our preferences. The location is an easy ten minute drive into Gatlinburg. No windy mountainous curves!! My husband really enjoyed the hammock and the screened in back porch at most any point in our stay. I started my mornings on the front door watching the sun rise. We definitely would enjoy staying here again. Thank you, Heather, for opening up your home to us.

Very nice house. Great views. Well equipped. No problems. Close access to Old Settlers Trail for early morning trail running was a big plus for me.
