*NEITHER OUR CABIN OR OUR VIEW WERE DAMAGED IN THE RECENT FIRES.*

This is our personal vacation cabin. We've had this property for 28 years. In 2005 we tore down our old house & built this cabin. While the cabin is 11 years old now and has some minor wear and tear, it is still as glorious as ever! The view is always amazing and the setting is wonderfully relaxing. I promise, it's the most peaceful place you'll ever be! It sits atop a mountain that you easily access from Hwy 321. No long, windy road. It is less than a mile from 321. The road up to the cabin is paved. There is one switchback curve but is plenty wide enough for any vehicle. It is Very private. No 'cabin community' with 50 other cabins on top of you. If you're looking for what the mountains are all about this is it!! It is located 15-20 minutes outside Gatlinburg. You get the true taste of the Smokies here. It sits directly across the street from the National Park. The 15 mile Old Setters Hiking Trail is at the bottom of the hill. The most raw, natural, untouched part of the park is just minutes down the road. A few miles in the opposite direction is Greenbriar. This is one of the most beautiful rivers in the park. You can swim, tube, fish, picnic, hike, butterfly watch or ride thru. I admit, I'm biased, but I believe this is the best cabin in the Smokies!

About Heather

My husband, 4 children and myself live on a horse farm about an hour from the cabin. We board horses, I am in nursing school, and my husband is a motorcycle mechanic.

This property was purchased by my grandmother in 1987. I grew up on this property so it is very dear to my heart. In 2005 we tore down the old house and built the cabin. I designed the cabin, had the blueprints drawn, oversaw construction & chose each unique detail you see...except the spectacular view, of course. God gets the glory for that ;-)

Heather purchased this cabin in 1987

Why Heather chose Tennessee

I have never met a person that has not fallen in love with it.

There is an anointed peace in this place. I am so grateful to be able to experience it and feel blessed to get to share it with others.

What makes this cabin unique

I tell everyone that our house is what coming to the smokies is all about. Peace and tranquility. Many, many guests have altered their plans to get to spend more time in the cabin enjoying the view.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Heather, just wanted to take a quick moment to let you know how much we enjoyed our experience at your cabin. First, the location was ideal! Not far from downtown Gatlinburg and at the same time very private and quiet......from our experience of many, many years of renting cabins around Gatlinburg..... that is a very rare combination.....close, yet quiet and private! Second the views are outstanding! Seeing all those mountains snow capped was just stunning! Thirdly, the type of construction of the cabin and the decor of the cabin made it feel like a great get-a-way! Lastly, the cabin had everything anyone could ever want including a great kitchen, a beautiful outdoor fireplace, great porches to enjoy the outdoors, comfortable beds and even a washer/dryer if needed. We will most certainly be back and would highly recommend the cabin to anyone!

Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is absolutely beautiful! Plenty of room. The views..... just wow! Heather is super friendly. If you have questions she is really quick to get back to you. She really made us feel at home. We had no issues with anything. Like i told her, it was much bigger than we expected. My girls loved everything about the cabin. Our shepherds loved it as well. We have a 1 yr old who got around more than fine. We were originally booked with someone else but when I looked one more time at cabins this one showed up. I cancelled our other reservation to make this one. I'm so happy we did. My husband and I have already decided we will be back next year. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Very clean upon arrival, had a nice greeting for our family. Our kids had no problems picking out which room they wanted. We brought their skates and they skated under the carport a lot. They also liked the porch with the hammock and swings. Honestly if you were still looking at cabins I wouldn't look any further. It is amazing. It's close to everything.

We had a wonderful time in the cabin. The cabin is beautiful and was perfect for our family. Heather was an outstanding host and kept in touch to answer any questions that we had. We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone who wants a beautiful place that is close to Gatlinburg.

Great as usual

  • 5 of 5

This is our third stay within the last year. When we got there I texted Heather "I'm home" because that's exactly how she makes it feel. The house is wonderfully designed. There is plenty of room and she lets us bring our (well-behaved) dogs with us. The view is spectacular from the porch and we spend some of the time just sitting out there with the dogs. I love the tile floor and the beds are so very comfy. Everything you could possible need is there, just bring food. We will definitely be back again. If you stay here please take care of the house. I would hate to see Heather take it off the market from being rented. We've noticed things like her stove is now chipped. I just can't understand how that happens. We've had a glass top stove for 5 years and I cook with cast iron and it's not chipped. We leave the house as clean as possible for her when we leave because it's spotless when we get there. We can't wait to go back. Hopefully we can in the fall again.

This is a spacious cabin with a great deck and view.

  • 5 of 5

My family group of four adults very much enjoyed this cabin. The large eat-in kitchen was perfect for quick meals and jigsaw puzzles. We watched a movie one evening on the large screen TV and enjoyed the Wi-Fi connectivity. The location of this cabin gives you easy access to the Greenbriar and Cosby GSM park areas, and the convenient back roads take you easily to Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. We really liked the covered carport for unloading/loading, although it didn't rain but once during our stay. Heather communicates very well with her guests. We definitely will come back to this place!

Very homey and inviting cabin with spacious rooms, nice amenities, and a beautiful mountain view. Heather works hard to make sure everything is on point for her guests. We love this mountain home away from home!

The pics on the site do not do this place justice. We most enjoyed the back porch and the view.
