Camperio is located at 1275 m altitude, 6 km from Olivone, the last village in the Blenio Valley. It lies on both sides of the Lukmanier / Lucomagno pass road and the river Brenno. The small hamlet was earlier and is z. Now one more alpine pasture of the farmers of the valley. In recent years, most alpine huts have been converted into "Rustici". The house is located in the area "Piana". A bridge over the Brenno leads directly to the house. Meadows, pastures and forests characterize the place. Mountains frame the plain.

Camperio (1275m) is located 6 km north of Olivone on both sides of the pass road and the river Brenno. The Ospizio Camperio was already a rest stop on the way to the pass. Today it is run as a restaurant-guesthouse (about 200m from the house). Camperio and other places on the Lucomagno have always been used for summering livestock. Even today, some farmers of the valley carry their cattle through the summer on the various alpine pastures. The free all-round view from the house over the river to the old village center, the Sosto (2220m) in the east, the Adula / Rheinwaldhorn in the south and the mountain range in the west, which separates the valleys Leventina and Blenio, is impressive and relaxing. Olivone (900m) is the northernmost village in the valley inhabited year-round. It offers everything for your daily needs: groceries, butchery, bakery, newsagent, pharmacy, natural products store, gas station, restaurants, bike and mountaineering utensils, post office, bank, tourist information. From here, even demanding tours can be undertaken. Biasca (300m) with about 5'000Einw. is the junction that connects the valleys Riviera, Leventina and Blenio. Its old core with the Romanesque church of Santi Pietro e Paolo, its Grotti are worth a visit. In addition, you will find the usual supermarkets, clothes and shoe shops, etc. From Biasca you can reach the north (Gotthard) and the south via train or A2: Bellinzona (Castello Visconteo) Locarno (Lago Maggiore), Lugano (Lago Ceresio and LAC) etc.
