Come relax and enjoy your surroundings in our wonderful 4 bedroom private home. The home, located at 13 Silver Moss Circle on a quiet cul-de-sac, is steps from the community pool, on the 13th fairway of the Turtle Point golf course and has incredible fairway, green and lagoon views. We are a 5 minute walk or 2 minute bike ride to Kiawah's world famous 10-mile beach. The spacious house sleeps up to 10 guests. The master suite/bath with a king size bed is located on the first floor. Three additional bedrooms, two with king sized beds, and one with twin beds and a pull out sofa, are located on the second floor. One bedroom has a private bath, the second two bedrooms share a large bath. Additional features include a sunroom, two large decks, 2nd floor sitting room, six flat screen TV's, and high speed wireless internet.

While staying as a guest in our home, you will have the opportunity to take advantage of the many benefits of Kiawah Island Golf Resort amenities (for a daily amenity fee ranging from $35-$45/day) such as: free access to Night Heron and Tennis Club pools, preferred tee times and savings on golf, advanced reservations for court times and savings off tennis programs, discounts through the nature center, free island transportation and bell service, free trash and towel service (upon request), advanced reservations at all resort-owned restaurants and spa services at the five-star rated Sanctuary's spa facility, free access to the fitness center at the Straw Market in West Beach Village, and resort-wide charging privileges with amenity card.

About The Owner

We live in Baltimore, MD and first discovered Kiawah about 8 years ago when living on the west coast. We realized our dream of purchasing a home on Kiawah and one day hope to retire there.

Why The Owner chose Vanderhorst Plantation

Kiawah Island is an incredible place with little commercialism. You can find many things to do or do nothing at all! Kiawah has been a great place for our family vacations and is a wonderful experience for the whole family. We have vacationed in many wonderful places, but our favorite has always been Kiawah.

What makes this house unique

We love biking on the paths and oceanside - there are so many wonderful things to see and do! This is our second house on Kiawah and we were very specific with our location criteria before choosing this home. 13 Silver Moss is on the par 5 13th hole of Turtle Point with view of the fairway, lagoon, and green. It is very close to the beach with a wonderful and scenic stroll or bike ride across a lagoon bridge and down the Atlantic Beach neighborhood path. We also have a community pool in the Silver Moss neighborhood. Finally, the bedrooms and living area in 13 Silver Moss make this a very comfortable place to relax and entertain our family and friends. We are sure you will find our home and location a great experience for your vacation as well.

Great Home and Vacation Spot at Kiawah

Our family just completed a fun, relaxing vacation at 13 Silver Moss! The accommodations were perfect for our family, including grandchildren. The home is graciously appointed, including all needed items in the kitchen for preparing meals, and rooms are spacious. The proximity to the beach is great; it is a pleasant, short walk or bike ride to the beach. The views of the golf course and lagoon from the sun room and large screened porch are spectacular! The driveway is long enough to accommodate multiple cars. The owner is very nice and responsive to questions. Before going we asked if the kitchen had a crockpot; it didn't, but she ordered one that was delivered to the house. We loved the Night Heron Park pool and amazing sightings of deer, alligators, and birds!

A Great Stay on Kiawah

We had a great stay on the island. This home was in a great location for riding bikes, walking and a short trip to the beach. We enjoyed relaxing on the screened in porch overlooking the view of the golf course and lagoon. We were able too see wildlife including birds, alligators, turtles and deer. The kids loved the access to the pools thru the golf resort, especially the Heron Park pool.

Wonderful home and experience

We spent New Years at the house and I could not have been happier with our choice in housing. 5 minute walk to the beach. Minutes away from the Sanctuary and the market. I highly recommend this house for anybody looking for a spacious, enjoyable, and conveniently located house. Kiawah has become one of my favorite places. Great experience.

Fantastic Place for Vacation

We scheduled a last minute vacation over the summer and had an incredible time at Kiawah and this home. The owner was fantastic to work with and could not have been more gracious. The home is in a great location with easy access to the beach and 6 or 7 houses away from the neighborhood pool. We loved sitting in the sun room watching the wildlife in the lagoon on couches so comfortable you didn't want to move. The dining room table was the perfect place for our family game nights. I would highly recommend renting bikes. It is the best way to travel back and forth to the beach and riding on the beach was fun for us all! (ages 7 -67). My only disappointment is that a week is just too short to stay!

Horseback riding is available at neighboring Seabrook Island. The Night Heron nature center provides unique and interesting opportunities to share in Kiawah's abundant wildlife and plant life.
