Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful chalet. We had a fantastic visit going on nature hikes, skiing at Mt. Baker and baking cookies. It was such a peaceful stay and was more than enough room for 10 people comfortably. The beds were fantastic, like a cozy bed made perfectly for the mountains. The large dinner table was the cornerstone of our visit letting our family linger and enjoy each other every night. We can't wait to come back and visit again soon.
We have stayed at several locations up at Mt Baker, and this waterfront chalet is still by far our most favorite over the years!!! The owners are so friendly, easy to work with and accommodating! I have personally recommended them to several of my closest friends, family and co workers! Any time we have vacation saved up we look forward to staying at one of their rentals available! Though, The water front chalet is always our first pick!! From sitting in the hot tub on cold winter nights to going fishing and barbequing in the summer, this chalet is everything you would want in a home away from home! They thought of everything!!
This is our second stay with Luxury Getaways and we look forward to many more. Our first stay was the Waterfront Chalet in November 2015 with my in laws and we had the most fun just reconnecting. Our second time we stayed at Snowline with our immediately family and our 1 year pup. Once again, best time just reconnecting with our family. Honestly, this looks to be a new tradition that we will look forward to this coming fall of 2017 as well! Thank you for the enjoyable family getaways!
This was a wonderful place for us and our relatives to stay. Beautiful decor. Comfortable beds with quality linens. High-end appliances with plenty of utensils made cooking fun and saved us money. Tucked away in the woods with access to Silver Lake, so we had beautiful views without any disruptions. Appreciated the WiFi so I could stay in touch with my clients.
I LOVE this lodge! I have stayed there several times, and I can't wait to go back. It was perfect for a family getaway, ski trip, and ladies weekend. The home is large enough for two families to stay comfortably. The kids enjoyed the boat beds in the loft, and the adults had plenty of private space in the bedrooms. The kids swam in the lake, built forts in the woods, and ate way too many marshmallows at the campfire! We took the row boat out and across the lake to the park where the kids could play on the playground and tire swing. We also found the beaver dam, where the frogs lay their eggs each year, and a mama Canadian goose who was sitting on huge eggs. My daughter even caught her first fish! From the comfy couches in the great room, we sat, each morning drinking coffee and watching the lake come alive. We could see the fish jumping up out of the water, and even saw and Eagle swoop down, catch a fish and fly off to enjoy his breakfast. We brought bikes and badminton and the kids played outside, and the men kept great food coming from the BBQ while the moms relaxed in the hot tub. Since we enjoyed our stay so much I came back with a group of ladies. We went for walks along the wooded road, and spent time lounging by the lake and cooking in the well appointed kitchen. We liked the place so much in the summer that we decided to try out a winter stay. Very excited to have so much snow that we could sled right at the house! It is a quick drive up to Mt Baker, and we skied all day then returned. The home is very comfortable in the winter with a couple fireplaces to keep us warm and toasty. The kids loved being in the hot tub while there was snow all around. Nearby there are a couple stores that carry a variety of foods. One of our kids has severe allergies, and the store carried several brands that are safe for him to eat along with fresh fruits and veggies. The house was perfectly clean, the beds were comfortable and linens very nice. The customer service was great, and directions and check in instructions were easy to follow. We enjoyed every stay at the lodge, and we have scheduled time for this summer as well! Cannot wait to go back!
We loved our stay! When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised with the private location nestled on a lake. The home was spotless when we arrived and we had plenty of room for our family of 8. My kids squealed with delight when we found board games to play tucked away on the kids bunk area. I highly recommend this VRBO.
Luxury Getaways has the nicest properties I've stayed at when we stay at Mt. Baker for short ski and snowboard getaways. Both of the properties we have stayed at have been very nicely finished and very clean. We have always gotten great customer service from the owners, and have never had any issues with our stays.
Deming Homestead Eagle Park
Silver Lake is stocked each year with 15,000+ trout and many people look forward to fresh water fishing in Silver Lake. Opening day of fishing is always the 3rd Saturday in April and runs until fall.
Because Silver Lake has a motor horse-power limit (9.9 hp), it is a very quiet lake. No water skiing or jet skiing. Most people come to the lake to fish, kayak, canoe, paddle board and enjoy the wildlife. Silver Lake has a family of beaver that frequent the waterfront, a pair of Osprey that nest nearby and hundreds of deer, eagles, ducks, geese, and great blue heron. The lake even has a resident turtle that is often seen basking on the logs near the park.
