WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME. The house was perfect, Flor was amazing, Cheke was awesome. We actually ended up having Cheke and his wife over for dinner on Thanksgiving. We have already told all of our friends and family about how wonderful our trip was and how we would recommend using you.

Please forward this on to Sandy, as well

Wonderful Trip!

  • 5 of 5

Our 4 night stay at Casa Montaña couldn't have been more perfect. The house is located in Conchas Chinas, a very nice upscale area just south of town, but still just a 4 minute taxi ride. Taxis were only 5 minutes away once we called and only cost 70 pesos ($3.50) each time we went into town. The views were spectacular, we swam in the pool each evening, and Flor, the housekeeper was most hospitable each day. We arranged for groceries to be ready for us when we arrived. Everything couldn't have gone more perfect!

A Little Piece Of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

We came here for a family vacation. Casa Montana was so beautiful and peaceful. The view over looking Banderas Bay is breathtaking and the sunsets were gorgeous. The property is in a very good location, we felt very safe. Flor, the housekeeper, kept the villa very clean and she was delightful. We were not at all ready to leave and are looking very forward to coming back here again this year.

Living the Dream

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful property with incredible views! From the dips in the pool to cocktails on the bedroom porch, every element is well thought out and very well executed. All of the furniture was really comfortable as well as being very attractive. We spent a lot of time in the pool area - it was so convenient and relaxing. We worked with the management company to arrange to be picked up and returned to the airport. This was one of the best ideas we had since we didn't have to deal with the usual taxi negotiations and lines.

We went to a couple of beaches down south - Mismaloya and Tomatlan - which were really relaxing. We took a cab each day and it was only about $15 each way. Every day we also went downtown to eat and cruise around. Tons of good restaurants. That cab fare was only $5 each way. Well worth it to avoid climbing the hill which was a little rough for this old guy.

All in all, great location, views, management and facility. Can't wait to get back!

Beautiful villa overlooks Banderas Bay!

  • 5 of 5

We just came back from Casa Montana and wish we could have stayed forever! It is idyllic, from the wonderful furnishings to the incredible views of the bay, the huge patio with its lush plantings and potted flowers surrounds the beautiful pool, to the comfortable king-sized beds. The bathrooms are luxuriously large, with stained glass windows you can open while you shower and overlook the water. It is a great getaway!

Magical Family Visit

  • 5 of 5

Our experience started with Sandy, the owner, prior to booking. She took the time to set up a phone call to answer anything else we needed help figuring out. We came with 3 young children and had a lot of questions regarding the location, pool, beds, etc. She was patient, kind and thorough. We remembered the hills from a prior stay in PV and managing hills with small kids seemed a bit daunting but, those anxieties were short-lived. It is about a 15 minute walk to the beach from the villa. We did it with all 3 kids and enjoyed it. It isn't for everyone. If we didn't feel like doing the walk, we called the taxi (which took 3-5 minutes to get to the villa daily) and for 60 pesos or approx $5, we were at the beach in 5 minutes. It was exhilarating to be in the city/beach and then we felt so fortunate to be able to escape to our Casa Montana (I usually took the 2 youngest back up with me in a taxi) The views are great. You can see the bay from every window it seemed. The sunsets from the bedroom balconies are breathtaking. It is in a beautiful, safe neighborhood and at night, the only noise is the occasional car meandering its way up the hill. The accommodations are wonderful. The beds are comfortable and they made sure the pillows were good. (I am a pillow snob). The beds are king-sized so there was plenty of room for all of us in the 2 bedrooms. Each had its own bathroom and the main level also had a bathroom. The decor is beautiful and has the Mexican charm we like. Flor, the housekeeper and cook, is a delight. She will come to prepare a continental breakfast including coffee and fruit/toast and then cleans the whole villa for you. She can also, if you request it, make other meals for you including adding eggs to your breakfast or lunch/dinner for extra charge. We sent a grocery list prior and for $30, she will go and pick everything up from your list. We told her ahead of our visit that we love homemade beans and guacamole/salsa. We came to the villa and our fridge was stocked and everyday, we had Mex Salsa and beans and a fresh guac. I would recommend getting a menu prior to arrival if meals are something you would like and let her know so she can buy ingredients for those first days then. We had Diablo Shrimp for lunch one day(awesome). She speaks limited English. We hope to return again and would recommend this place to anyone...couples, familes, long term stay, etc.

We arrived Christmas Day to stay at Casa Montana for 4 nights. Sandy recommended that we use her driver to transport us from the airport to the hotel. I highly, highly recommend that everyone does this. The taxis at the airport are approx 3 times as expensive as regular taxis, so for the same price, your driver takes you directly to the house and then gives you a full tour so you know where everything is, how it works etc. It should be noted that the driver waited for us for close to THREE HOURS since we were stuck in a huge line for customs. We were really surprised that he didn't just leave thinking we missed our flight

When we arrived, he gave us the full tour. In the fridge, there was a fresh batch of homemade guacamole and salsa prepared. We had it stocked with some snacks and alcohol so we didn't have to worry about that on vacation. I recommend doing this - the prices are basically what you would pay if you went to the market yourself.

This house is perfect size for up to two couples. Both bedrooms are huge, and both have their own balconies and very nice bathrooms. The living area on the first floor opens up to the outdoor patio and pool. It felt like we had a ton of living space to enjoy.

To go into town, you call the taxi number that's clearly posted by the phone. Everyone who answered knew exactly where Casa Montana was located and it never took more than 5 minutes for a taxi to show up at our front door. It only costs $8 to get into town where there a ton of restaurants, beach clubs, bars and nightclubs.

We had the best vacation and highly, highly recommend renting this house.

Conchas Chinas
Car: not necessary

Casa Montaña is located in the quietly exclusive, upscale village of Conchas Chinas, just south of the romantic and historic Viejo (Old) Vallarta. Conchas Chinas means 'Chinese shells,' which you can hunt on the small, white-sand beach, rock grottos and hidden coves waiting to be explored and enjoyed. Conchas Chinas is quite near the Romantic Zone. Many guests simply walk to the Romantic Zone from the villa. People walk down our hill to the beach and walk 15 minutes into town to have breakfast or lunch.

Your private vacation/honeymoon villa is perched high above the Bay of Banderas in a lush, tropical setting with stunning ocean views and cool breezes while still close to attractions, galleries, gourmet restaurants and shopping.

It's only a short stroll to the white-sand beach and you can walk or take a short taxi ride into Viejo Vallarta. You're close enough to enjoy the town, but far enough away to enjoy your privacy.

Other Activities: whale watching, swim with dolphins, turtle sanctuary, zip line, four wheeling

Favorite food and drinks can be pre-stocked in the house prior to our your arrival. Send us a shopping list and we will take care of bringing it to the villa. There is a small fee for this but it is definitely worth it, according to our guests. Please note that there is safe, purified water throughout the house. Water is totally drinkable from every faucet. Fresh ice from the market is my recommendation. We don't use ice makers. The pool is heated, if you wish to have the temperature higher or lower just ask Flor, she will make sure it is the temperature you like. We have coolers and bags to carry your towels, and a picnic to the beach - no need to bring anything from home. Towels and a beach umbrella are available. It makes your beach visit easy.
