We are here right now and we love it !

  • 4 of 5

We were so pleasantly pleased upon our arrival into the apartment . It's extremely clean and the view of the valley in the back yard is just something to be experienced ... The sounds and colours are fantastic ! I could sit in this lazy boy chair and look out the window all day but alas there is too much to do on the island and we are only here for five days ...

The water pressure alone is worth the price of admission :)

It has everything you need and , Lani the owner could not be sweeter and more willing to help you with anything !

To be honest this is our first visit to Hawaii , we have visited Maui , Molokai and now Kauai ... Kauai is actually our least favourite but we are so happy to have found this home and the beautiful view from the back yard and the ever so friendly owner ... It has been a great place to call home for our five days :)

Oh I haven't mentioned how comfortable the beds are too !

Also you have to go to Hanapepe town for art night on Friday nights , we had a great time and so thankful , Lani told us to go :)

It's also close to many sights to view sunsets from and the Waimea Canyon as well . The sunrise from the back yard is really quite nice too .

Great Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

This is a great place to stay. Quiet, peaceful, plenty of room. The owners are really nice people. I really enjoyed myself here. Easy to go anywhere on the island (if you rent a car)

I have stayed here before, and will most definitely stay here again!!!

Hanapepe Heights

  • 5 of 5

Highly recommended for a comfortable at-home style stay on the west side. The place is very roomy, clean, and well maintained with a separate entrance. The owners were very friendly and helpful throughout my nearly two week stay. Located in a nice suburban neighborhood up above Hanapepe, the unit has a great private view of the Hanapepe valley below.

Kitchen was well provisioned with basic cookware plates and utensils including some spices, everything for basic cooking. Plenty of towels and other supplies including soap and shampoo.

WIreless internet connection was excellent.

Wonderful home

  • 5 of 5

I just spent Thanksgiving with my 2 little brothers here and we enjoyed it thoroughly. There is plenty of sleeping rooms and the beds are very comfortable. The view is also very beautiful. I would highly recommend staying here. I myself am returning in June next summer. It's close to the beach and many other wonderful sites to see as well.

VERY CLEAN AND COMFY

  • 5 of 5

My sis and I were very comfy here. Chose this central island location for accessibility to all beaches. We wanted a local feel rather than a tourist feel, and were able to cook our own meals nicely. Must be able to go down a flight of stairs to the entrance. The view is spectacular of the valley, white birds floating down..Owner's were very helpful, I would recommend this property to everyone looking for a local experience(Filipino lady next door was sweeping the dirt, as they do.) This island is AWESOME and can't wait to return! Bring your own GPS. Nearby beaches Glass Beach and Salt Pond were nice, but there are better on the island. 2 factories in the town of Hanapepe not to miss are Kauai Kookies and Taro Ko chips. Have a blast!

Great Space for the Family to spread out!

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed in a fair share of my VRBOs. But this one is located on the rural side of the island just a few miles from the Waimea Canyon. This worked well as our family plan was to hike several different trails in Kokee during our stay and we wanted to be close to the canyon. It was a very large space for our family of four to stay in. It is located below the owners house on top of a cliff looking into Hanapepe Valley. It had a full kitchen with micro, and full size refrigerator which we all know is plus when traveling with teenagers. The owner operates one of those Napali Coast tour boats. They gave us a huge discount of the regular fare if we were willing to go stby should someone cancell at the last minute. The boat tour was the highlight of our stay. It gave a different perspective to this beautiful island. We saw dolphins and all types of marine life. There is a nice beach about 1 mile down the road from the place. But, it is a steep hill to walk so I recommend the 3 min car drive down the hill. The sleepy Hanapepe town comes to life every Friday night which we able to take in twice during our stay. If your looking for place on the westside of the island and having lots of room to spread out without all the frills this is the place. I would recommend this place to any other family traveling as a group of 3 or 4.
