Great family get away!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time! The property was well kept and clean. The beds were comfortable but there was only 1 queen so if there are couples traveling together the other 2 double beds made the sleeping arrangements a small challenge. The description of the property probably disclosed that but I didn't realize that ahead of time. Other than that I would highly recommend the property and I would re-book.

Good could be wonderful with a few small changes

  • 4 of 5

We drove up and were initially wowed with the property until we could not get in. We realized the "code" we received on the email with all the instructions for the property was only a code for the wifi. We stood outside for half an hour trying to reach the property manager for a code to get into the house. Once in, the home was great. Very comfortable upgrades and furnishings. Would be nice if there were 2 baths upstairs. I was fine with it, but my mother-in-law was not too pleased. Kids mostly used the downstairs bedroom, but were scared to sleep downstairs by themselves as it is a separate enclosure from the rest of the house. Would be nice for 2 couples, but not a whole family who wants to stick together (just fyi). On the bright side, I loved that the home was off the beaten path and was so peaceful and beautiful. Nature everywhere and the view was spectacular.

Pros: linens were clean and comfortable/nice down comforters

view - awesome

SUP board-fun!

separate "casita" if needed

washer/dryer came in handy

game room - kids loved it

wooded area - nice for walks/nature lovers-lots of bunnies!

located on cove of lake, great for swimming and close to boat rentals/water park

cons: coffee pot - PLEASE replace! it is on its last leg!

pillows-flat! had to buy our own in town and bring back

game room in not air conditioned-didn't bother me, but my some people in my family complained...

2nd bath - must walk outside, downstairs - not good for rainy days or elderly people/young children

dock-has separated from land and you must walk through the water and then back up metal ramp to get on - not so great- please correct this for your guests so we may enjoy the dock for fishing/swimming

lack of towels-there are not too many towels in the house (6-8 at most) and we felt like we were using the good bath towels for the lake-maybe some beach towels would be nice.

property manager-please be sure to include the key code on your welcome letter to renters-it was very frustrating not to get in upon arrival.

string lights on balcony/trees are burned out-would have been nice to see them

All in all a very pretty property, just a few upgrades and corrections and it could be great! :)

What a great property!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at this lake house. Lots of games for the kids to play and also for the adults. Even though this home is on a slope, there are leveled grassy areas where the kids can play. We also spent some time on the covered boat dock. The pride of ownerships shines through the entire property. Just A class! The owner is also very easy to contact if something comes up during the stay.

Summer getaway

  • 3 of 5

I have stayed in some great properties through VRBO and this is another very nice property. The view of Lake Travis is awesome and the house was basically clean and spacious! With that being said, there were some issues:

1. I have a 24 ft boat and the trailer access to the property is very very narrow, almost impossible to access with a 24 ft trailer. Would have been nice to know, before we got there.

2. When we got there, the lights in the kitchen didn’t work. We were able to reset a breaker outside to resolve.

3. None of the electrical outlets in the kitchen worked, we didn’t realize this until we tried to make coffee the first morning. An electrical technician came out and fixed the problem…

4. There are only five coffee cups. We had seven coffee drinkers !

5. Six forks, had to use plastic !

6. We had to bring our own ice. No ice maker ! This is a pain, and should be fixed !

7. When we arrived washer and dryer full of linens, we had to unload in order to use.

8. Oven was extremely dirty and is a safety issue.

9. Daddy long leg spiders were an issue in the lower bedroom & bathroom. Probably killed 20 ! Freaked my wife out, she would not sleep in there !

10. Wireless network is a joke, very low signal strength, not usable.

11. Almost all outside speakers were blown, basically unusable.

12. The lower deck was basically an area where junk was stored, we didn't use it.

I didn’t expect everything to be perfect, but for the money we spent, definitely below my expectations.

Owner's Response: Hi Jeff, Thank you for staying at our vacation home. We are sorry issues came up during your stay. This was truly not our intention. We really appreciate your feedback so that we can make things right for our future guests. I would like to take this opportunity to comment on your concerns… 1. Re: Trailer access to the property-You are right! I should have communicated better the details regarding the entrance leading to the home. Because we have had guests with various vehicle sizes get through in the past, we did not think you would have a problem. I am so sorry for this. 2. Re: Kitchen electrical issues: It is unfortunate that this happened during your stay but I assure you that it has not happened before. Our maintenance staff has repaired the issue and will keep an eye on this. 3. Re: Forks, coffee cups- We have restocked to ensure there is plenty to go around for future guests. 4. Re: Ice Maker- You are correct. There is no ice maker. I have added ice trays to make this easier for future guests. 5. Re: Linens, oven and deck- Our cleaning staff has been advised of these issues and have assured us this will not happen again. 6. Daddy Long Legs- Because we are close to the lake, these little critters are always nearby. However, we definitely don’t want them in our home. We are looking into measures to make sure the room is clear of them. 7. Re: Wireless Network and speakers: We were not aware of these issues and thank you for bringing it to our attention. We are having someone come out to check our wireless network to make sure it is reliable for our guests. We are also having someone inspect and repair our speakers. Again, we thank you for your feedback and apologize if any of these issues caused your stay to be less than desirable. We hope you will consider staying with us again. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or additional comments. Sincerely, Erika
