Our charming 65 square meter holiday home is surrounded by a huge grounds with a large sun terrace, a meadow, a pond, a forest and a small stream in the middle of the newest German national park Hunsrück Hochwald, a paradise for hikers, bird lovers, anglers and peace seekers.
The well-designed house has a 25 sqm living room with fireplace for cozy winter days and a divan (1 sleep possibility). A comfortable 18 square meter bedroom (2 sleeping possibilities) and a 19 sqm large, well equipped kitchen with a large dining table complemented by a small, freshly renovated bathroom (4 sqm) complete the house.
Directly in front of the house start two award-winning circular walks / dream loops and further dream loops are only a few minutes away. Börfink is a staging point of the Saar Hunsrücksteig and thus hiking and nature is a real theme.
The national park is known for its old trees, the numerous wild cats and the black storks, which nest here in the summer. In the autumn, during the rutting season, one can hear the stags of the deer in front of the house, and when one goes out on the way, they are often seen in the morning hours on the meadows of Börfink. National park also means always bad mobile network and very weak Internet.
The Forellenhof Trauntal in Börfink invites you to fish with its numerous anchovies - but also to eat fish in the evenings. In the Nachbardorf Neuhütten you can dine in the Le Temple, awarded with a Michelin star.
At the nearby head of the head you can also enjoy the white sport in winter - downhill skiing, tobogganing and also cross-country skiing are possible.
Culture and strolling can be combined in the 50 km Trier. Idar Oberstein with its gemstone grinders and visitor masons should not be missed. And the Ringwall near Otzenhausen, built by the Celts, is also an impressive building, which can also be gently explored.
