Welcome to our charming, 65 sqm holiday home. Surrounded by a huge property (3,800 square meters) with a large sun terrace, lawn, pond, forest and small stream. The location, in the middle of the newest German national park, Hunsrück-Hochwald, is a paradise for hikers, bird lovers, anglers and rest seekers.
The well cut and newly renovated house is rented since May 2018. It has a 25 sqm living room with woodburning stove for cozy winter days and a divan (1 sleeping possibility). The stylish bedroom (sleeps 2) offers with its spring box beds on 17 sqm upscale hotel standard. The 19 square meters large and fully equipped kitchen and large dining table leaves nothing to be desired. The house is completed by a small, fine bathroom (4 sqm).
The house is classified by DTV with 4 stars! Our high standard also meets the requirements of ServiceQuality Germany. We are proud to be certified as a partner of the national park.
Directly on the doorstep start two award-winning circular hiking trails / dream loops. Ten more dream loops are just a few minutes away by car. Börfink is a stage town of the Saar-Hunsrücksteig. Hiking and nature experiences are actually here on the huge property and in front of the door to find. Do not be alarmed, because at the rutting season the deer roar in the immediate vicinity! In the morning you can see the deer in the meadows of the municipality in the fog of the Traun!
The National Park is known for its ancient trees, which are home to numerous wildcats and the black storks that nest here in summer. Seasonally, ospreys and hawks can also be seen, who sometimes circle the house. However, national park always means a bad mobile network and a weak mobile internet. On request, an emergency phone will be provided.
The Forellenhof Trauntal in Börfink invites you to fish with its numerous anchovies - but also to eat fish in the evenings. In the Nachbardorf Neuhütten you can dine in the Le Temple, awarded with a Michelin star.
At the nearby head of the head you can also enjoy the white sport in winter - downhill skiing, tobogganing and also cross-country skiing are possible.
Culture and strolling can be combined in the 50 km Trier. Idar Oberstein with its gemstone grinders and visitor masons should not be missed. And also the ring wall near Otzenhausen, built by the Celts, is an impressive building - which, of course, can be hiked wonderfully.
