Our home is fully equipped and a perfect 'home base' as you experience all that the Hood Canal and surrounding area have to offer.

The floor plan, including 4 bedrooms and 3 baths, gives you plenty of space to gather or find a cozy place to curl up and read. The main living level includes: full kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless appliances and tile floor, dining and game tables, living room with fireplace, computer desk with computer, master bedroom (king) with full bath, additional second bath, and laundry. Two-car garage allows for off-road parking. The best 'room' in the house is the large, partially covered, deck on the water--the perfect place in any weather to visit, enjoy the scenery, or just relax. The other three bedrooms are on the upper level (all with a view of the Canal)--one with queen and two twin beds, one with king bed, and one with two twin beds.

A getaway at Hood Canal is all about the water...guests are welcome to use the dock and a rowboat. Or give fishing or crabbing a try. Never had a Hood Canal dungeness crab? You're in for a treat--these sweet, succulent crab are world famous! Boaters, kayakers, jet skiers, and kite boarders enjoy their sport on the Canal without the crowds. Our 80 degree summer days warm the waters making swimming here the best you'll find in Puget Sound. Appreciators of wildlife will enjoy the antics of otters and seals, the majestic flight of eagles, the fishing finesse of the blue heron, and tireless activity of kingfishers and many other birds and ducks.

Many of our guests are content to stay right here during their stay. There's also plenty to do for the more curious and'll find wonderful dining and more at nearby Robin Hood Village and Restaurant and the Alderbrook Resort and Spa. Enjoy hiking and birding at the Theler Wetland Trails in Belfair or Twanoh State Park, or head to the Olympics for more serious hiking. The Tahuya State Forest is well known for its challenging off-road vehicle trails, and you can enjoy world-class golfing and scenery at several local golf courses. Hoodsport Winery, casinos, chainsaw carving, gift and antique store--all close by.

Our Hood Canal House is perfect for families or groups. Make your reservation today...enjoy the comforts and conveniences of home while you experience the Hood Canal 'up close and personal'. You'll be glad you did!

My family and friends spent a wonderful mini vacation at this marvelous house, with an incredible view of the Hood Canal and Mountain. The outstanding services, the cleanliness, the nice interiors, the family like atmosphere made all of us making plans to come back.

A true gem

  • 5 of 5

We've had the incredible fortune of being able to stay here several times and, before we even leave, find ourselves longing for the next chance to visit. The location is remarkable, with breathtaking views of the canal and some of the most spectacular sunsets we've ever seen (we highly recommend spending them on the deck, with ice cream in hand, and in good company). Each time we've arrived, we've found the house just as we remember it - delightfully welcoming and clean, always making us feel right at home. It's truly a special place.

Amazing Home and View!

  • 5 of 5

We have been to this one of a kind location many times over the last few years and every time it seems to get better. The house and views never disappoint. Every time we have arrived, the house has been spotless and ready for our stay. The management has always been very helpful with any questions we might have. I'd highly recommend visiting Alderbrook (down the street) for their Sunday brunch as well as Robinhood for dinner. They are true Hood Canal landmarks that shouldn't be missed! Will continue to return!

Great the first time

  • 3 of 5

We, five friends that travel world wide, spent a few days here in 2012; the location and cleanliness was perfect. We were excited to come back to this special haven on the Canal. The kitchen and mainfloor was clean. The three bedrooms and bath on second floor had not been touched. My idea of vacation isn't washing dirty sheets, bathrooms and cleaning up after someone else. The comment of , "thanks for the feedback, it wasn't supposed to happen," didn't go over well after contacting the property manager. Fortunately, the Alderbrook Inn gave us cleaning supplies and we will gladly return there for much improved accomodations next time. Decent housekeeping could sincerely help this place.

Owner's Response: Well, we certainly dropped the ball on this one. There is a first time for everything, so I guess my number came up. Changes in how we handle the cleaning crew have been put in place to prevent any from not having the best experience possible. I'm grateful this guest was gracious about it. I am sorry my response to the text was not received the way it was intended. This is clearly on me for not making a phone call instead. I do hope they return...
