Absolutely Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

The Seafarer Bungalow was everything we expected and more. The pictures of the bungalow are beautiful but in person the place is amazing. If you are looking for a quiet getaway which is close enough to the historical district but far enough away for the peace and quiet this is where you want to be. Thank your for an absolutely romantic and lovely weekend.

A wonderful place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We were delighted to spend about a week at this charming house. The interior is spacious and elegantly furnished, but we especially enjoyed the outdoor areas. Whether it was breakfast on the front porch or siitng in the evening on the lovely back patio, this house have us everything we wanted in our Florida vacation. The bungalow is located in Lincolnville, a historic neighborhood with a fascinating past, and we enjoyed walking around the area. The nearby lake is also quite beautiful. It's an easy walk to the center of St. Augustine, but we enjoyed being in such a quiet neighborhood with the feel of Old Florida.

Wonderful place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming house. The interior is beautifully decorated, but we especially enjoyed the outdoor spaces: the quiet front porch and the back patio. The Lincolnville neighborhood is historic and a very interesting place to walk around. It's an easy walk to the center of St. Augustine but nicely set apart from the crowds. All in all, a perfect place to stay!

Outdoor areas need attention - photos shown are old

  • 2 of 5

The indoors is accurately represented in the photos, and it is super-clean, but the outdoors is now overgrown and unkempt, and not much like the photos anymore, which have got to be at least a year old. The back patio area -- the photo shows mown grass and a wood lattice fence. You can barely see that lattice now for all the overgrown stuff back there, taking over the fence. The bar cart is rusted, the wood table weather-worn, and there's a stray cat that comes back every night. The grass area between the patio and grill is full of weeds, dead and forgotten plants, and we even had a visit from a possum tonight... The front porch is missing a big wicker chair and only a couple of the blue pots on the front steps remain. The indoors is beautiful, though. The location is walking distance from downtown. Mostly, it was great. We were just really planning to enjoy the yard area as we specifically rented a place with a yard for the kids, but did not feel the yard area was safe for them to play in due to its overgrown condition and immediate surroundings. Neighborhood street a little sketchy, neighbors across the street have chain link fences...it's a revitalizing area, but not revitalized enough yet to let the kids play in the yard. Not sure I would pay the nightly rate if I had seen the outdoor area ahead of time.

An attractive and well-located property

  • 5 of 5

This is a well-located small house (2BR and 2 BA, one of which has a shower) in a very quiet historic neighborhood of St. Augustine, with the city's central historic district a short drive or a 15 minute walk away. There is a covered front porch and a fenced patio in back, complete with a grapefruit tree with hanging fruit (this was mid-March), and the kitchen is well-designed and well-equipped. There's off-street parking for two cars as well. Overall, a very good base for being a tourist in tourist-centered St. Augustine.
