Sanibel Island Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Sanibel Island was named among 'the world's best islands' by National Geographic Traveler. Numerous other leading magazines including Life, Islands, Family Fun and Conde Nast Traveler have rated Sanibel in their top 10 lists as: one of America's best beaches, most romantic place, perfect island getaway, and, as a top island destination for families and couples. Beach lovers and shell collectors take note, Sanibel is also known for its beautiful and pristine beaches and is considered one of the best shelling beaches in the world.

As a barrier island sanctuary, 67% of Sanibel Island is protected by the federal and municipal government or private ownership. It is home to the J.N. Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge, a unique island wildlife sanctuary and world famous as a bird watcher's mecca, world class golf, 26 miles of bike paths and the Bailey Matthews Shell Museum.

Ocean's Reach is a secluded, private island retreat known for its warm Gulf Coast breezes, picturesque sunsets and its desirable location on one of the world's best shelling beaches. The 64 one and two bedroom resort complex can be found at the midpoint of Sanibel Island at the end of a palm tree-lined road and boasts spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico. In keeping with Sanibel's protection of its wildlife and land conservation, Ocean's Reach was proudly designated as Sanibel' first Green Lodging property, a title only given to hotels, motels, resorts and lodging properties who meet strict environmental and conservation guidelines. What does this mean to a visitor at Ocean's Reach? Our environmental friendly operations include: recycling, water and energy conservation, and the use of non-toxic cleaning supplies to name a few.

In January 2006, Ocean's Reach was proud to complete a multimillion dollar renovation offering vacationers the latest resort amenities including: tennis courts, heated gulf front swimming pool, high speed wireless internet access, bike rentals, shuffleboard and a newly landscaped picnic/barbeque grill area all in a lush tropical setting.

As travelers of the world, and with one of us in the hotel business, we have furnished and decorated our home in a style just as we would expect on an island vacation. Our newly renovated two bedroom oceanfront suite, 3A2, comfortably sleeps six and offers a luxurious yet comfortable decor for any traveler. With Tuscan tile floors, granite counter tops in the kitchen and bath and a gourmet kitchen including stainless steel appliances, new cookware and dinnerware, 3A2 contains all that one would expect in an ideal vacation condominium.

Our entire unit has been newly painted and tastefully furnished to provide you with the utmost comfort. The master bedroom is designed with a tropical island feel including Ralph Lauren's vibrant Isle Capri bedding while the second bedroom is decorated in a fun blue and lime green beach and seashell motif. Our living room, master bedroom and screened lanai offer breathtaking views of the blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. We have always enjoyed the evening sound of the surf and we're sure you will too. Our two children have helped us keep our younger guests in mind and have guided us in stocking our island home with games and beach toys for everyone's pleasure.

It is our sincere belief that our paradise home will provide you with rest, relaxation and will put you in an 'island state of mind'!

Why Joyce Dev chose Florida South Central Gulf Coast

We first fell in love with Sanibel Island in 1996 and we have been returning ever since. We discovered Ocean's Reach in 1998 during a bike ride on one of Sanibel's beautiful bike paths. Ocean's Reach appealed to us as it is one of the most private, secluded condominium complexes on the island with a proximity to the gulf which is unparalleled. Immediately, we were welcomed by the friendly office staff and fellow vacationers and we decided this is where we would come to every winter to escape the Northeast cold. Before long we were bringing family, friends and then our children. We kept returning year after year and each time we did we felt as if this was 'our vacation home'. This year we made it official purchasing our home this past summer. We have lovingly renovated our condominium in a style that we feel any discriminating vacationer would look for during an island getaway. We have newly painted the interior in soft tropical colors, decorated it with new furnishings, and added a splash of tropical fun with new Ralph Lauren 'Isle Capri' bedding only found in 5-star resorts. Since our sons, Andrew and Christopher, have long enjoyed Sanibel and Ocean's Reach, we have tried to maintain a casual family feel to our unit as well. It is our pleasure to assist you in having a most memorable and enjoyable vacation.

What makes this condo unique

Our unit is so comfortable, airy and inviting. The view of the beach and the gulf is spectacular and is enjoyed at so many times of the day - at sunrise, midday and at sunset.

We had a wonderful time during our stay in your condo. It was very comfortable, very, very clean and beautifully decorated. The view of the ocean was very nice. The complex was clean and the people were very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed the beach and of course the shelling. We look forward to returning.

Sanibel

We had a wonderful time during our stay in your condominium. It was very comfortable, well equipped and beautifully decorated. It was so special to wake up in the morning to the sight and sound of the ocean. As a complex, we found the people to be very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our walks on the beach and of course the shelling. We fell in love with the Island and all that it offered, and are looking forward to returning.

Thank you for sharing this with us.

PERFECT!

  • 5 of 5

Oceans Reach and Unit 3A2 exceeded our expectations. Our only disappointment was having to leave! Being right on the beach is wonderful and we have so many beautiful shells. This condo is just as nice as it appears and had everything we needed. The furnishings are very pretty and comfortable. When I contacted Joyce about renting, it was like talking to a friend and I looked forward to meeting Lisa after our conversations on the phone. There's so much to do on Sanibel but if shelling and sunning are all you want to do, Oceans Reach is the place to be. Be sure to check out the painted coconuts by Laura Ball, they are great! She has them in several shops and you can meet her at the post office. Be sure to stop by the Chamber of Commerce, everyone is very helpful. Also, don't miss Sun Harvest Citrus before going over the causeway or when you leave Sanibel, the juice is so delicious. No review is complete without mentioning PINOCCHIO'S, my husband's favorite haunt! When we got to the stop signs at Periwinkle Way, he made a quick left and I knew where he was headed, before we even went to our condo! Our time on Sanibel this year was made even more special with my daughter and her husband being there, next year I'm hoping my grandchildren will "bring their parents" and join us. You read about the Sanibel Stoop and believe me, you will but I've added these: the Sanibel Squeal and the Sanibel Smile, they just naturally happen!

A Peaceful, Easy Feeling

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I recently rented this beautiful condo (pictures don't even do it justice!) The moment we drove down the quiet palm tree lined street we felt all our daily worries slip away. The view from master bedroom, livingroom and lanai is spectacular. We woke up early every day for a long walk on the beach, gathered many shells for our own collection and ate breakfasts most days on the lanai. We brought our own bikes and the large locked storage closet in the carport was a perfect spot to keep them, no hassels with bike racks & locks. We ate most breakfasts and a few lunches at the condo and the gas grills on site - just a short walk from the unit -- were great. The kitchen was well equipped for larger scale cooking than we chose to do this trip. After our long days biking we enjoyed cooling off in the pool and chatting with the few other visitors. We also appreciated the easy recycling as there were two garbage containers in the kitchen making pre-sorting a snap before heading to the larger collection bins on site. Since the unit is on the end "cap" next to another building sunset views from the lanai are obstructed, but we always opted to be out on the beach or over on Captiva at the Mucky Duck to enjoy sunsets and cocktails. This condo is beautiful and we will stay here again!

Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

This beautifully and very clean condo felt like a home away from home.. This condo is perfect for a family with children. My family stayed here from July 31st - August 7th and enjoyed every minute of it. We fished from the shore in the morning and evenings and played at the pool during the afternoon hours. We did do some dining out but also had the luxury of staying in for some meals and eating on the beautiful lanai. You know it is a true relaxing vacation when you do not have to wear shoes for a whole week. Wonderful condo, wonderful weather and unforgetable memories. Thank you so much my family enjoyed every minute and is looking forward to returning next year.
