At the time there wasn't much available! I looked for property on the hillside but decided I wanted year round access to the property.
This property has year round access, the lake, a rental facility (The Last Resort), gas station, convenience store, and the Last Resort Restaurant are all within walking distance. Come play and Enjoy Nature!
I wanted to get all of my kids and grandkids together for a special Thanksgiving holiday so I wanted to find a place to stay that was first class accommodations & was large enough for all of us. The Tennison Lodge did not disappoint! It was everything we had hoped for. What an awesome place & location to get together. My family is still talking about what a cool place it was. We will definitely be going back again!
The home was very clean and I loved that. The property offers many fun things to do from watching TV on the 'big screen', to using the hot tub or playing basketball. We enjoyed hanging out on the largest picnic table I have ever seen. It has a great BBQ and plenty of room for everyone to have some space. It was a great place for our family and friends to spend 3 days together. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Our family and friends had a fantastic stay at Tennison Lodge for the 4th year in a row! The home is beautiful and comfortable with everything we could want! Mike is the most attentive owner we have ever dealt with and highly recommend this destination for a great family vacation!
We really enjoyed our two nights at the lodge. It was in exceptional condition and incredibly clean. Lots of space for a big group inside and out. We loved everything.
Headed up to Cle Elum for the weekend with a group of friends. Spent the weekend hanging out, watching some TV and drinking around the fire pit and media room. The home is really well equipped, has basically everything you could need. Pack your clothes and toiletries, and food for the trip. Everything else is there. The outdoor BBQ and fire pit areas are really nicely laid out and provide an awesome place to hang out and talk. The media room is nicely furnished and comfortable for watching TV and relaxing.
Check in and out was extremely easy and overall, everyone had a great time. We are already talking about a summer trip to stay while we're in the area offroading and dirt biking. I would suggest The Tennison Lodge to anyone who is looking for the best place to stay and relax and play while in the area.
Every December our family spends the Christmas time in either Whistler, Sun Valley, Schweitzer, Big White or Mt Hood, never considered staying in the local vicinity since we are from Seattle area, this year was different, nobody wanted to fly or be on the road for more than 5 hours, so I found Tennison Lodge and decided to give it a whirl, although I was having serious doubts thinking this would be a year with very little snow as was being predicted......Wow, what a gamble that paid off! This place was so great, Mike and his wife were very nice and waited until 10pm for our arrival due to pass closures, to put it in perspective, over 3 ft of fresh snow upon arrival, 16" more while there, holiday decorations already up, warm house, big house, hot tub, media room, WiFi, fire pit enclosure house, only downside was sporadic cell service, but that became a blessing to me. My 87 year old mother loved it as well and travelled easily inside the house with a walker. The whole trip was wrapped up for me with a tear in my eye when my 23 year old daughter told her mom and I on the last night there, "Best Christmas Ever, thanks so much!".
We snowmobiled, walked in the woods, shopped in the antique stores in town, strolled and reminisced in Cicely, Alaska (Roslyn renamed in TV series Northern Exposure), sledding for my 9 yr old nephew who arrived from Philippines 1 year ago and had never played in snow....just the best times one could hope for during the holidays.
Can't wait to see next years addition to the property....pray for snow.....
