Our stay in Paris

  • 5 of 5

Location = 5++ stars

Communication with management = 5+ stars

Car service from airport = 5+ stars

Cleanliness of apartment = 5 stars

Apartment found as described = 5 stars

Upkeep of apartment = 4 stars (minor repairs are needed)

This apartment is located in the perfect neighborhood to explore Parisian life. Very walkable to many restaurants, grocery shops, museums, sites, bars, shopping, galleries, etc. It was so nice to not have to travel any distance for a late night dinner. The neighborhood feels safe and secure as does the building.

The building is very quiet. Even though they were working on replacing the courtyard cobble stones, it was very quiet.

The apartment is large and comfortable. We were three, two adults and one teen girl, who very much appreciated her own room and bathroom. The beds are comfortable, room temperature was good and easily adjustable for heat via the radiators. Towel warmers were a really nice touch. Plenty of hot water.

The kitchen is well equipped. There are plenty of guide books to help plan your stay. We were pleased to have a variety of converter plugs and plenty of outlets for our devices.

The "only" negative was that there are few small items that need repair such as the faucet handle in the large bathroom was broken (still worked but hard to move) and the over mirror lights in the smaller shower room were not working.

We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful, chic Marais apartment

  • 5 of 5

Only a couple of blocks from the Place des Vosges (my favorite small park) and even closer to the Picasso museum, this apartment feels like Paris. My friends and I speculated about the owner who clearly has lovely taste and an eye for art. Although we did not cook, we certainly could have, but why do that when neighborhood restaurants abound? Although the Rue de Turenne is quite a busy street, the apartment is very quiet. There are markets all around the neighborhood and a lovely boulangerie/patisserie (Moulin de Rose) just steps away. This was a very short stay with the goal of spending a lot of time at the Picasso Museum which is just around the corner. The staff were hugely helpful and pleasant, arranging transportation in from the train station and to CDG for departure and checking to see that we were settled in comfortably. There is very useful neighborhood (and appliance, if you need that) guide in the apartment along with recommendations of restaurants, etc.

Wonderful Stay on the Marais!

  • 5 of 5

My adult daughter and I stayed for a week (for business and a bit of pleasure) and found the apartment to be exactly as depicted with a special "homeyness" and perfect comfort. The apartment is up just one small flight of wide steps on the first floor which made bringing our luggage in really easy and nice. Everything we needed was provided including helpful kitchen and bath amenities (coffee, herbal teas, spices, honey, candles, soaps, as well as guidebooks, manuals etc. in the main living room.). There are plenty of lovely windows overlooking the architecture and courtyard (that was under renovation but will be beautiful when finished!).We used the 2nd bedroom for working on our computers and as a perfect office to spread out our papers etc. Beds were super comfortable and the baths and showers were attractive, clean, and spacious!

The layout of the apartment is very nice for entertaining (we had 2 other family members staying on the Marais who visited for a glass of champagne and nibbles before dinner out). Privacy, if needed, for non family members traveling together (i.e.: 2 separate couples) is also a nice feature of the layout with the bedroom and bathrooms separated by the living room and kitchen areas.

The location is very close to everything you would want to explore and experience on the Marais. Sophie had a driver pick us up at the airport and take us to the apartment (after picking up the key from a local hotel) that was just divine. This, for me, is a special bonus after a long flight from California and jet lag setting in. We will definitely book again for either business or time when it's not so cold!!

Perfect in every way

  • 5 of 5

The apartment at Les Archives was absolutely perfect for our party. Warm and cosy (once we'd done our homework on the heating system!) and fully-equipped to settle in for our stay. Very nicely set out and we really felt part of the neighbourhood. Rentmyhomeinparis are an excellent host. There if you need them, booking cars and giving advice but not so in your face that you feel frightened to pick up a cup. Excellent in every way.

Historic building with a lot of character

  • 4 of 5

We spent 7 nights in the apartment on the Rue de Turenne. We took in the Pompidou Center and the Picasso Museum (a short walk from the apartment) and did a lot of sightseeing on the Left Bank. The bus stop, a three minute walk from the apartment, was convenient for visiting the Left Bank. For the rest of Paris, we used the metro which we found very easy to use with a stop about a 7 minute walk away.

The apartment was modern with an open concept and very pleasant. It was well outfitted with appliances. The cooktop is induction and we had a little trouble with it, but after reading the instructions that Sophie left, we were able to figure it out.

One word of caution: I do not recommend the apartment for people with balance issues as it has a two inch step down into each of the bedrooms and a four inch threshold you have to step over to get into the bathroom which could be a tripping hazard. Also, It was difficult to get out of the bathtub for the older generation. Other than those issues, everything was great.
