This charming renovated year round l30 year old home is on five acres, 9/10 of a mile from the town of Stockbridge. Driveway is 1/10 mile long, passing a large field so that house remains secluded and is not visible from road. House is 4 miles from Tanglewood, 2 miles from the Stockbridge bowl (town beach on town lake) and very close to tennis courts, and to wonderful hiking. For winter rentals, it is l0 minutes from Butternut for skiing (both cross country and down hill), and 35 minutes from Jiminy Peak.
House is fully heated and comfortable both winter and summer. All bedrooms are air conditioned. Recent renovations over the last two years include completely new downstairs bathroom, painting of indoor rooms, new queen size beds, and lovely new living room rug.
The downstairs has been opened up around the original brick fireplace (which isn’t working at this time). On one side of fireplace is a large open country kitchen. The living room and dining area are on the other side of the fireplace. The living room has cable TV, a VCR, and a DVD player, Internet access and a couch which opens to a queen size bed. There is a very beautiful old library table on one side surrounded by windows (formerly a porch area) which seats 10 people.
There are three bedrooms and one bathroom on the second floor of the original house, and a fourth bedroom on the second floor of a connected addition. All of the bedrooms have new queen size beds.
Former tenants who spent many summers at our home held a wonderful outdoor wedding on this lovely property.
